| Maybe cause most people prefer to deal with problems as they come, rather than waste energy formulating possibilities that may never happen. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~ | |

| hmmm... tire oneself thinking of problems and how to deal with them and when the real problem comes your way, you're fast asleep... problem solved... till you wake up and then..just go back to sleep or keep avoiding it till its impossible to do so anymore... at that moment you simply construct a problem to get rid of the old nagging problem :/ New Problem mixed with old problem cancels out each other :o - Spoiler:
if only life was so complexly simple to solve problems by adding more problems

| haha yeah, its the Doggy Bone concept. The Dog will never let its "doggy-Treat" get into harms way. It can bury it, hide it from enemies and use it when ever it feels like it but always protect it. so if my arm is attached to me, and it knows that I can let it chew on it whenever it feels like it, then It'll try to make an extra effort to keep me safe.... or maybe only my arm. lol but yeah I could train / condition it into believing that if the arm looses it freshness (if it gets detached) then the chewy treat will no longer be any good for it .. or just hope Nex doesn't take that route :/ I better not annoy the GM XD | |

| I think yours (at least the Girl's) is going to be like a playful kitten, loyal and protective.. or could be a serious type too but likes snuggles : D For the Guy's, I can only think of it being a bossy, demanding, attention seeking type ... or could be joyful but ditsy I blame it on Nex.. he wanted it to "bite" me or eat me alive. Lol But still I hope its cuteness and playful (ahem-vicious-ahem) innocence, manages to get it far. My character doesn't have any offensive spells yet The first two would be the crafting ones. Next will be Alchemy for various potions, in those he could potentially create damaging vials. Later on I will have a Soul-Link type Chaos-Channeling. (transfer power from the dragon into me and use it for focused attacks) Still need to come up with other skills or spells. I have been thinking of a final form ability(The 4th Character Image in my appearance chart). Where The Character and Dragon fuses together. They would forgo any defense but pure magic energy would be immensely boosted. The Character would be in control. The dragon (something like your spell) would shrink to its baby size and fuse with the host. Pouring all its energy into the MC. It can be thought of an alternate form of Chaos-Channeling. And the reasoning behind this having any chance of being applicable... the Dragon Rider allowed its dragon to physically feed off him since birth. As the link was created, Mana channeling simply grew stronger day by day, without them realizing it, to finally reach a point where the souls of the two intertwined and became one. So that's 5 skills or spell slot used. Still a lot more to think up. After Alchemy I need to come up with a basic offensive spell to back up my Dragon. The Dragon has that Psychic blast that is only available when another dragon who is not Pure Chaos is close by. But its stronger when the other dragon is close to it. So not really good for long range. (It can have a slight boost when a friendly non-pure-chaos is near by, but if the enemy non-chaos is too far, the spell damage would have weakened by the time it reaches it. Other than that spell the only time where My Dragon can really shine (pun intended) is during Night (granted its not heavily clouded) At night (or in the day during the short time the moon is still visible), Midnight Madness can be activated. Depending on how close it is to a full moon, the power and realism of the casted illusions would be the only fighting chance it will have over any enemy. During a full moon, clear sky. MM may have the potential of creating extreme illusions to the likes of changing landscapes, summoning Meteors that can make the enemy believe it to be real and really be heavily damaged. On such a Night, A Dragon Killing spear could be thought off and when thrown at an enemy, making it believe that it will pierce it and kill it... that spear can become reality and kill that dragon. Sure it won't or may not have a giant hole opened up in its chest but the death would be induced by Psychological damage. The brain cannot distinguish reality from illusion, thus it triggers what it believes to be the actual effect of being pierced through. Now I'm not 100 percent sure if the mind can force the body to change. If it can then yes, witnessing/experiencing a heavy item falling on top of you limb which would normally crush your bones would actually do crush the targets bones at that location where the illution made contact. If that is not the case then the brain would simply send the signal to the body that because that body part is crushed, you can not use that limb anymore. The mind would make the target see a broken / ruptured limb but to others, the target would appear completely normal (unless they are also trapped inside the illusion barrier then they can also be led to witness what happens to their team mates. The farther away it is from a full moon. The illusions effectiveness and its hold on the enemy is weakened. So again My dragon would be helpful but probably just to buy time for someone else to escape or finish their job or hold the enemy off till backup arrives. The other ability it has is also non-offensive. It is like casting Silence in your Magic RPGs. The bubble it creates casts the effect of silence on all hostile spell casters (dragons, humans, etc). If my dragon is fending for it self, meaning if it is alone then again this spell won't be much of a help as the way to break it is to get physically harmed, granted considerable damage is to be made so if its being ganged upon, and it can't protect it self, the spell would quickly fade. Also the enemies outside the barrier are potentially able to break the "bubble", granted they also physically attack it with really high damaging objects. Throwing houses or using a dragon to constantly ram into it, etc, would be its downfall. So making sure all potential targets are within barrier range is the key to trapping them. The size of the barrier is also an issue, at least at earlier levels. When I really think about it.. My Dragon can appear like its is really powerful but at the same time very weak. Thus why I said that hopefully it's cute but viscous charms gives it the upper edge over its enemies. Oh and it can go invisible anytime Midnight Madness (illusions) are being cast. So yeah it got that one trick up its sleeve to mess with everyone. Cast illusions, hide yourself, create a fake you and occupy the enemy with it while the real you manages to recover from any damage or get to the main mission objective | |

| Well, Midnight Madness can definitely be a gamebreaker if it's not given limitations. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~ | |

| good thing Nex(GM) is in control of the Dragons.. No blame, finger pointing at me sure I can suggest the dragon what kind of illusion to imagine but in the end it will be up to the GM as to how to fully utilize it. Only benefit of MM to me as a character would be the Illusion cloak (The dragon and partner both become invisible). | |

| Ah, I see.
I hope Nex can handle controlling so many characters at once. It's a lot to manage, especially as a first time GM. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~ | |

| ah, 5 active dragons and 100 or so hive minded enemy dragons.. couple of NPC's and an adaptive story plot... suuuure he can handle it.. Piece of cake He once created an RP with 14 or so active NPC (or PC but under his control).... okay the RP didn't start but from all that detailed thread he had made.. I'm pretty sure he could have handled it just fine. One of my Villains from another RP was going to be linked, used as a PC for Nex's RP if it started. I had a good plans for my character. It would have been like a back story for the Other RP he was being used as one of the Villains. Oh well, its just us 3, for now so I believe it can be done.. granted we don't push him Midnight Madness (cons): MM can only be lifted or weakened when the Moon becomes covered by unnatural darkness or strong/thick clouds. That's taken from my Profile... seems like I made it weak against Storm/wind Dragons and also probably other Chaos Dragons that may have the ability to cast "Darkness" Oh well it had to be kept in check somehow | |
