New Vegas wasn't near as brown and grey as the rest of the series. That's why it;ll always be my favorite. I also was asking Liev whether my favorite city on earth is something still worth mentioning :3

Not at all, Europe is actually much more urban on a whole, Just the san fransisco area where this is set is one of the biggest urban centers in America, along with Los Angeles, Chicago, New York etc. I wanted an urban wilderness style post apocalyptic world for everyone to play in. I wanted the world ruined and your characters to originally feel alone however I wanted the world to be packed with danger around every corner. The individual surviving in a world with just a handful or people and small settlements. You get much more of a wanderer feel, of somone looking for something as opposed to a survival feel.

I was actually in Vegas this last weekend Shayu and came up with some ideas for how it functions now which I think would be a very fun area to explore. So yes Vegas still exists.

In designing the areas, I wanted to keep the elements which went into their creation as an actual city. San Fransisco was a city of displaced immigrants just packed full of a done of different cultures, which is why i diced i up amongst a ton of factions. Even the first book kept the feel of san fransisco with the spooky fog descending upon the city. The east being dominated by the church keeps on to the roots of the new engand area which was settled by religiously rigid setters. So if we go to Vegas I will attempt to hold the essence of what formed the city.

those are more byproducts of what vegas is more than the essence behind it I would look at vegas as a bastion of capatilism, entertainment, money with some crime and corporation elements.
