actually, it's because, since the strategy is to swarm the field, the worst hand possible is to have a bunch of spells in hand and no monsters. the only reason it even has spells, is because it's suicidal to not run three MST

I created a deck of 40 random cards. Now what?

now you get your ass beaten cuase it's a buntch of random cards

Actually, your deck has no strategy, because the effects of that monster archtype all play off of each other, requiring zero thought process on the part of the owner.

They don't give you a starting deck.. Look, start with a basic element deck like earth or dark by using the "card" drop down to select monster and then "attrib" to the desired attribute. Select the some monsters with good attack or defense, keeping in mind that monsters with more than four stars will require you to tribute a weaker monster before you can play them.

Once you have about 20 monster cards, switch the "card" type to spell and put under "desc" the attribute you chose. This will give you some spell cards to support your attribute monsters. Once you do that, then switch the "card" type to trap, keeping the same attribute. Once you have a total of 20 spells and traps, you should be ready to go. Your deck probably won't be very good, but we can at least start teaching you how to play.

actually, you're butthurt, cause my deck has synergy, something yours dont :V

Please. My deck has synergy I actually had to put effort into. You just grabbed the preset archtype cards without any need to plan cause some card maker did everything for you.

Do you want me to recommend a deck for you Bbomb?

Okay, probably one of the easier styles of decks would be a rushdown deck, that being said lightsworn is one of the easiest archtypes to get into.

So, look at the lightsworn cards and make a deck.  Personally, when I first started playing I had this weird lightsworn rebirth deck that focused in milling cards and bringing out angel 007 with all the monsters I could get on the field with the lightsworn summoner.

Angel 007 - stops monsters from activating effects, I mean

I've gotten my st. joan (my favorite card in that deck) turned into a big eye once, was a very sad moment indeed :'(

well i my case it was either Big Eye and steal or something else and kill :V

Big Eye is way cheap. At least cards like Change of Heart or Snatch Steal can be countered as spells. It's hard to block a monster eft.

it's not cheap, it needs two 7 lvl monsters to make. yeah a few decks can do that easily, like then Dragon Ruler decks, even mine can only do that with a godly hand, otherwise it needs at least two turns to set it up

its just as hard to block monster effects as it is spell cards,we can thank 5d`s and zeXal for all the new effect negation...
