draw power doesnt fix that.

tutors fix that, as tutors simply get what you want. there's a reason why most high tier decks have no draw power and instead have every tutor that works for the deck.

drawing is still luck based. it helps that your drawing allot, but it's still luck based

Fortune ladies are really consistent because of that, they have searchers (fortune lady light) and draw power (fortune lady water). Though they aren't really popular :x

They were pretty popular, but archtypes tend to come in fads.

Draw power is actually not that hard to get, its honestly easy too. I could name a number of cards for drawing power.

from what i've noticed archetypes have become really abusive on the tutor aspect. must I even talk about Mermail? like I have the deck and that **** is abusive :V

Draw power is really good for vanilla decks with Heart of the Underdog. :0

on the good side, the deck is not as easy as i make it look like. if didnt have two years of experience from magic I would have no idea how to use mermails :0

That's because of the hand advantage it gives you since any sort of searcher will make you go even or + most of the time.  So, it's just sort of the focus since it not only thins the deck more so they can draw other cards, but it also allows them to get all the cards they want with searchers.

Ya, mermails is rather complex :0

Ya, I don't know the specifics of mermails since I never used the deck, but I have seen it in action once or twice to like its style.

with fortune ladies you can summon 6 different colors all of which have different effects through fortune lady dark or light that makes a lot of combos along with the many options of activating lights effect (removal from field through card effects allow the user to special summon a fortune lady from the deck)

I think the only other time I had a similar face palm was with my ghostrick deck, as it a really wide arrange of options as well.

fortune lady is a good archtype though as you can mix it up with so much (mainly because it only has 6 cards)

ghostricks is okay with mixing potential

but that's how every card game as always been about. archetypes. Do you actually think the dev team just gathers up and thinks about random cards? archetypes have always existed. it's just that before they werent that good and now they are really good.

Archtypes didn't really exist until Yugioh GX came out. You had a handful of scattered ones like Harpie Lady before that, but they really didn't have enough support to exist on their own.

Toon archtype? Bug archtype? Ritual archtype? Fusion archtype? etc...

there were allot of archetypes, however this was them starting the game, so every group was an archetype even if nowadays they may have no co-relationship

Ritual and fusion aren't archtypes. Neither are insects.

Inzectors is an Archtype. Harpie is an archtype. It has to be something with the same name in it.

I did mention them. They were basically the only archtype present in the original Yugioh. Then GX came along and introduced archtypes in spades...

Archetypes can be fine, its just that cards need to out do and fill in different roles of cards that have existed for years before them.
