which part? Killing Scat? from the way the scene went, that she`s part concept?(do you prefer "Fused with the land of shadows"?) Nasu uses her as an example when talking about Araya and Buddha transcending life and death

So Ryougi can supposedly kill God, but not Scathatch?

your forgetting a very big caveat,"As long as he`s alive i could even kill god"

to bad in interviews Nasu clarifies that God isnt technically alive.like the Buddha Araya`s bone comes from,transcending life and death(although God was probably not alive or dead to begin with) makes you immune

and Scathach becoming part concept means that to kill her you`d need to destroy the concept that she`s part of.And however much you think Nasu favors one character or another,its the concept of using concepts for powerlevel/power scales that is his true baby.


mind you, this refers to Ryougi Shiki not to [Void]Shiki

I thought Mystic Eyes of Death Perception could target concepts.

Ryougi's eyes can affect anything that has an existance.
Alive refers to anything that effects the physical world

It's Tohno's that are limited.

Ryougi`s eyes could supposedly target anything except a broken phone`s trolol

Ryougi sees being Alive as "performing a function"(wow, this remind me of Kuzuki) if you dont perform your function then your dead, so broken phones have no lines on them,their dead.

Tohno Shiki sees being Alive as "having form" as a result he gets dot stab disintegrate(completely annihilate an objects form)

But that would almost make Tohno's eyes sound stronger...

Only in terms of object destruction.

Shiki's is more efficient. She can cut more, and it has absolutely no kickback on her brain.

Ryougi`s come from being connected to route(Akasha) by way of the dead and currently recycling half of her personality(SHIKI) and the connection tells her how to kill anything she wants,and her emphasis on function rather than forms means that unlike Tohno who sees dot for annihilation and lines for cuts,if she desired to kill the entity that is Roa instead of cutting him to pieced(cuz cutting Roa to bits till the body dies doesnt stop his "reincarnation").She`d have to focus on his existance/soul and she`d still see it as a line to cut(think the wraith that possessed her in Movie 4,she kills its soul but not herself)


so the difference is that Ryougi might have to focus to see and kill the soul instead of the body, Tohno needs to focus to see anything that isnt the Soul or the body(he nearly goes blind from killing poison,while the only thing that Ryougi ever has trouble with is Araya,she focuses as much as she could and her vision still "white`s out")

as for an excuse for not using it ,February is colder than October(at least in my country) so it makes sense that he isnt walking around with an exposed stomach.
