or you could start with the basic... well not QBasic but DosBox Games
I knew one guy whose PC would crash when those games would go into Fullscreen mode XD
But hopefully your new setup is more advanced and can handle Diablo2 era games

meh, my little brother tried to talk me into paying for half of that. I would rather get SR4 first.

lol I found the game a bit boring but then again I only really enjoyed GTA2 XD
and then sniping in GTA3 games (haven't played GTA4/5 only watched gameplay vids)

I sure hope WatchDogs and Beyond2Souls would be a much better experience

I'm not that big of a lover when it comes to the shooter genre, unfortunately.  I used to have a zombie thing, but then I kind of burned that love for zombie games out when I played too much of left 4 dead :X

It seems like she'll be mainly using technology based attacks that use gravity, fire, and electricity with a hammer/drill of somesort as her main weapon.  

Like.. one of her distortions is apparently her summoning a giant tager behind her (probably using the teleportation tech she got from lambda) and shooting a giant lazer beam from it :p

similar to yu's lazer beam attack from Persona 4 arena

Oh, so you have a PS2? :0 You should try Phantom Brave then. It's really fun, and it's a pretty unique battle system. And the story is engaging enough to tie the package up nicely.

Ya it looks interesting, I didn't bring my ps2 with me this time around though, so I'll have to remember about it when I get back home.

Mark of Kri ended up being fairly entertaining, although it's pretty short and rather limited. Still, I think it was worth the couple bucks I spent on it. Or actually, that might have been one of the ones I got free as part of the sale. :0 Either way.

Ya, it's nice to play all the older games, because they're cheap and still pretty good. I just usually have trouble getting into them, but once I actually get into the game.. I play it a lot :p

I still haven't finished eternal poison, so I think I'll hold off on buying anything new for the ps2 until I finish that

I don't have my ps2 because I lent it to a friend who wanted to play a certain game on it, and he didn't return it in time when I moved to my university, because he recently moved and had it in moving boxes :x

So ya, I was really only able to play like the very beginning, which was why I didn't mention it earlier because I knew how much you loved eternal poison from the blogs on AC :p

Oh okay. :0 It's a good route (well, they all are really) though I probably wouldn't have suggested that as your first. Olifen's is probably best from a gameplay perspective, since his party basically covers every possible type of attack. Ashley is a beast though in physical damage, magic damage, and healing, so you should still probably be all right. Glynne's offense is decent, and I love Reyna's ranged abilities (since I am a fan of archers). You can always make up for any weaknesses with mercenaries in any case.

I'm a turn based tactical freak, so I should be fine. And if I end up dying... well I haven't gotten far so I can always start over :p

But I also tend to adore games that make me hate my life so... I'll be fine lol

Tactical rpg is my favorite type of game. And I love the dark gothic fantasy style of Eternal Poison. Phantom Brave is more colorful and lighthearted, and the gameplay was a bit unusual, so at first I was unsure of it. But it really defied my expectations.

Ya, I think I'll like the dark fantasy aspect too. I've been watching and playing with a lot of games and anime that have been lighthearted lately, so it'll be a nice change of pace.

I've recently grown interested in the games that have people pitted aganist each other though. There's a game called dangan ronpa that's coming out in the US sometime soon... and it's a pretty fun game. The only problem is I already spoiled myself by watching all the story since I liked it too much :p.

I'm not sure what you mean by people pitted against each other.

In dangan ronpa's case they were trapped in a school and one person had to murder another to get out of it and not get caught by the others. If they succeed and toss the blame on someone else, everyone else gets executed, while if they are caught they are executed.

It's pretty well.. dark.. but I'm into that stuff right now for some reason :p
