Well...the most exciting thing I did today was taking a walk for an hour an not being out of breath after there was a small hill >.>

Well...yes, but it's also driving me crazy XD I don't deal well with people telling me I'm not allowed to do any sport for weeks when I'm not in pain and all the scarring is internal so I don't know how much has healed already :S I feel like I should already be capable of more and so I'm highly in danger of over-doing it XD


So this Anna Jacobs character, is she for a new book you're writing or is it a continuation of the one you've already written?

Yeah, I understand. But is it worth it if the damage you could do from not allowing yourself to recover makes the recovery process even longer than if you'd just played it safe? I'm sure it's frustrating, but that's how I'd rationalize it to myself.

She's a new character in the sequel to the book I already wrote. She's a main POV character.

Yes :S I know, that's what I keep telling myself and luckily for me, my brain is still in control, but it's still frustrating DX

Maybe Ehlana lacks conviction when it comes to that : o but she really doesn't want to die and I think that's probably the only reason she hasn't attacked them or attempted to escape when it was useless

The agents make for an interesting contrast. I think Ehlana is the least extreme. Alexei is in the middle, doing things he doesn't like under the justification of needing to follow orders. Belo seems to be the most extreme.

In the first book, you meet the first two chosen out of a group of seven with the potential to recreate the world (yes, that is a plot I'm fixated on lol, though it plays out completely differently from Sortilege). Anna is the third one chosen, and the book starts with her being recruited by the angels to be the champion for their idea of a new world.

You know, I think I would put Kurik also in the more extreme corner. Maybe not as long as he was part of Kaddath, but now that he is with Arusia and Maxim, there is very little he wouldn't do for them : o

Ah, cool. Well it's an interesting premise. So to tell the story for all seven of them, how many books would that potentially translate into?

I think so. It allows for a lot of philosophical exploration while keeping things exciting and action-y. Although this setting is much more based on reality (it's basically our world, with angels and demons being real, and witchcraft being possible), so the action is much like something you'd see in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (or Supernatural, more closely, if you're familiar with that series) as opposed to Nasuverse.

It's four books. Not all of them are major characters or get big arcs. To break it down (spoiler-ing some things in case you ever read the series):

Aiden Milligan - Appears in all four books. Arc spans all four.
Spoiler 1 - Appears in all four books. Arc spans mostly 1, 3, and 4.
Anna Jacobs - Appears in 2, 3, and 4. Arc spans mostly 2 and 3, with a little 4.
Spoiler 2 - Appears in 2 and 3. Arc is primarily in 3.
Fariah Nizami - Appears in 3. Arc is in 3 (minor)
Tyler Wilkens - Appears in 3. Arc is in 3 (minor)
Father John Gideon - Appears in 3 and 4. Arc is in 4.

Unless Maxim plans the destruction of everyone living in Kaddath, I think Kurik will do pretty much anything Maxim asks as long as it benefits Arusia m.m

Well, for Alexei, it will depend if the strain between humanity and professionalism becomes too much.
