Yes, there was a throwaway line about the church investigating them. But Fuyuki's was a big deal cause it was only one to make use of the Einzburn's 3rd Magic. Without it, Heaven's Feel wouldn't be possible.

oh but that's a differant take. if you said Heaven's Feel, then yes, Fuiuki's war is pretty important for that reason alone.

but it's not a Holy Grail War because it uses Heaven's Feel. Heaven's Feel simply creates a wish-granting machine as a side-effect. Thus causing a Holy Grail War

most Holy Grail Wars are farces or shams, but it's impossible for in the mist of hundred for only one of them to be the real thing. The truth is, there's more but they are simply inferior or simply complete differant systems.

example: In the Fate/Strange Fake, the Holy Grail is inferior and can't summon a Saber class, thus the war is only with 6 servants.

in Fate/Extra, the Holy Grail is a giant alien recording machine that gained so much power from it's recordings that it became a wish-granting machine as a side-effect. Since it's something outside of human understanding, it becomes a system much more powerful than Fuiuki's war and thus can summon ridiculous numbers of servants.

Basically, so long as it can grant wishes, it's a holy grail, how that Holy Grail is created is whole differant question.

in Fate/Grand Order if I'm correct, an organization with the sole purpose of stopping the end of the world is behind all these holy grails appearing everywhere(although I'm not sure if it's on purpose or as a side-effect)

Well, a prequel would deal with the magi civil war. A sequel would deal with the possible ramifications of the failures of the Grail Games. Possibly, someone attempting to take advantage of the tensions to take another shot at taking over.

It's stated in the background info for GG. Basically, all the factions were at war with one another. Eventually, they called a truce and started the Grail Games. Unfortunately, Clocktower was disgraced by Jamie's quick demise and Calisa's betrayal, the Eastern Magi Association had their position hijacked, and then the homunculus blacked out the surveillance spell so no one saw what came about.

well yeah, but why did it start? If you plan on making it that then you need to know how it started, how it ended, how it went. And quite frankly I'm not sure if it's a good topic since it's difficult to imagine an actual all out war between the magus.
