| No, dummy lol. I'm saying "pretty good for a mobile game" kind of indicates that mobile games are pretty crappy by default, and thus, this game only looks good by that comparison, rather than by its own merits. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~ | |

| Well, I don't think good time sink necessarily equals good game. After all, a good game is something I chose to play despite the fact that I could be doing other things, rather than because I have nothing else to do. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~ | |

???: Fuou...? Kyu...Kyu?
???: Fuou! F-Fwou!
Choice: What was that cry? Did something lick my cheek just now?
*Scene: Chaldea hallway, Present: Mashu, Fuou*
???: ................................
???: ................................Umm Since it's neither morning nor night, you should wake up, senpai.
Choice: Who are you? Where is this?
???: Yes. That is a simple question. It makes me feel relieved.
???: This is the corridor leading from the front gate to the central control room. Or if you wanted a less precise answer, Chaldea's front gate.
???: Ahem. Anyway, I have a question for you senpai.
???: While rest is important, isn't sleeping in the corridor a bit much? Are you the type of person who cannot sleep on anything but a hard floor?
Choice: Was I sleeping here? Honestly, yes. I can't sleep on anything but the tatami.
???: It is Japan's carpet. Just as I had heard. I see... I see. ???: Fuou! Kyu-Kyuu!
???: ...I had forgotten To introduce you, Fuou.
???: This squirrel-like person is Fuou. It is a creature with the privilege of freely wandering Chaldea.
???: It was Fuou who guided me here To find you sleeping.
Fuou: Fuou. Nkyu Fuou!
???: He left again. He always wanders without any obvious purpose like that.
Choice: I've never seen an animal like that before... That's quite a strange creature
???: Yes. Aside from me, he seems to keep away from most people, But he seems to like you, senpai.
???: Congratulations. You are the second in Chaldea that Fuou has taken an interest in.
*Enter: Lev*
???: Ah, there you are Mashu. That's no good, you shouldn't leave without permission.
???: Oh, there's someone else here too. You're... Oh yes, one of the rookies who joined today.
Lev: My name is Lev Rinor. I'm one of the technicians working here.
Lev: Your name is...?
*Insert name entry form here.*
Lev: Hmm, Gudako. 48 were invited, for their aptitude, except for the last.
Lev: Welcome to Chaldea.
Lev: You look like a normal person, how long was your training? A year? Half? Or was it only 3 months?
Choice: I'll leave it to your imagination No, I haven't had any training
Lev: Oh? So you're a complete amateur?
Lev: Oh yes, There were a few brought in to make up the numbers.
Lev: So you were one of them. I'm sorry, I was lacking in consideration.
Lev: But please don't be pessimistic about being a regular person. All of you will be needed in this next mission.
Lev: 38 people from magi families, 10 talents from the general public... 48 Master candidates were gathered.
Lev: It's wonderful. In this 2015, all the sprit-divers Are gathered here in Chaldea.
Lev: If there's anything you don't understand, Feel free to ask me or Mashu... Oh?
Lev: Come to think of it, what were you two talking about before? Do you know each-other?
Mashu: No, this is the first time we've met. Senpai was soundly sleeping in this section.
Lev: Sound asleep...? Gudako, you were sleeping here?
Lev: Ahh, were you placed in a simulation during admission? Spirit-diving can be starange when you're not used to it.
Lev: After the simulation, you must have remained asleep And when you were released from the gate, you sleepwalked here.
Lev: It is a dreamlike state. Then when you fell, Mashu must have heard your voice.
Lev: Now, you don't look injured, but better safe than sorry. I'd like to send you to the medical office...
Lev: But I'm afraid the director's briefing is about to start. You should also hurry to attend.
Choice: Director...? Briefing...?
Mashu: Yes, the director will be greeting Everyone assigned by their aptitude to be a master.
Lev: In other words, the organization's boss will carelessly give all the newcomers a welcome(discipline).
Lev: The director is the type that won't forgive even the most trivial mistake. So if you're late, you'll be glared at all year.
Lev: The briefing begins in five minutes at the central control room. Just go straight along this passage. Quickly.
Mashu: Professor Lev. Am I allowed to participate also?
Lev: Hmm? Well, if you stand quietly in the corner It'll probably be allowed... Why?
Mashu: I thought I should accompany senpai to the control room. She's likely to fall asleep again on the way otherwise.
Lev: ...Leaving you alone would probably result in a scolding too.... So I shall be attending as well.
Lev: Well, do whatever you want, Mashu. Gudako, are you okay with this?
Lev: If you have any more questions before we go to the control room, Now's the time to ask them.
Choice: No questions. By the way, why do you keep calling me "senpai"?
Mashu: ..................
Lev: Oh, don't worry about that. This girl considers all humans your age to be her seniors.
Lev: But to say it clearly like that is unusual. Possibly even the first time.
Lev: I'm curious too. Hey, Mashu. Why do you call her senpai?
Mashu: The reason...? Gudako is The most humanlike human I've met.
Lev: I see. So, what does that mean?
Mashu: I feel no threat whatsoever. So I have no reason to be hostile.
Lev: So that's it, that is important! Most of the humans in Chaldea are quite hard to deal with.
Lev: I agree with Mashu's opinion, Gudako, you're likely to gather many good relationships!
Mashu: But professor, the type of people you love Are the type that the director hates the most.
Mashu: You may need to boycott many briefings And hide in the toilet.
Lev: Well then you should probably keep an eye out for the director. Leave it to chance and see how things go.
Lev: You could always try jumping into the lions mouth. She's quite charming once you get to know her.
*Scene: Central Control Room*
Mashu: This is the central control room. Senpai, you're no.1, so in the front row.
Mashu: It's the empty space in the furthest column. ...Senpai? Your face is off-colour.
Choice: ...Sorry, my head's still a bit... ...Sleepy...So very sleepy...
Mashu: It's the aftermath of the simulation. I'd lie to take you to the infirmary immediately, but...
*Enter: Olga-Marie*
???: ..........................
Lev: Best avoid making small talk. It looks like it's already begun.
???: It seems everyone is here, Though not quite on time.
Olga-Marie: Welcome to this secret military agency Chaldea. I am the director Olga-Marie Animasophia.
Olga-Marie: You were all selected from various countries Or were discovered-
*Gudako passes out* *Scene: Hallway*
Mashu: Are you alright?
Choice: ...Damn it ...Was I asleep?
Mashu: Yes. Though rather than simply asleep, You seemed to be in REM sleep...
Mashu: Either way, you woke completely When the director slapped you.
Mashu: Since yo've been removed from the first mission, I will guide you to the- Kya!?
Fuou: Fuou!
Choice: The squirrel jumped at your face...! Be careful...!
Mashu: N-No, this always happens, it's fine.
Mashu: Fuou always targets my face first, then wraps around my back And finally ends up on my shoulder.
Choice: You've gotten used to it. By any chance, did you name him?
Mashu: That's right. There was no particular reason for it, The word Fuou just came to me by intuition.
Mashu: But for you to spot that, You have strong intuition too, senpai.
Fuou: Fuou. Ku-, Fuou! Fuou!
Mashu: Hmm-Hmm. Apparently Fuou has Welcomed you as a rival, senpai...
Mashu: But is there truly a way For a human and a squirrel to be rivals...
Choice: A rival? So there's trouble here too.
Mashu: Well, he'll probably have forgotten by tomorrow.
Mashu: Actually, we've arrived at our destination. This is your private room.
Choice: ...I see. Thank you for bringing me here. What team are you on?
Mashu: No problem. If you want to repay me, Treat me to lunch sometime.
Fuou: Kyu...Kyu!
Mashu: Fuou is caring for you senpai. You should be safe.
Mashu: Well, I'll be going then. With any luck, we'll meet again soon.
*Exit: Mashu* *Scene: Bedroom, Present: Dr. Roman, Fuou*
???: Okay, and that's- Ueeeeeeeeeeeh!? Who are you!?
???: I finally found a free room to slack off in, And who are you coming in here now!?
Choice: I was guided to this room but... I'm the one who should be asking who you are.
???: This is your room? Ah... So you're the last to arrive...
???: Well, nice to meet you Gudako-chan. After such an unexpected meeting, lets start again.
Dr. Roman: I am the head of the medical department, Romani Akiman. For some reason everyone calls me Dr. Roman.
Dr. Roman: Though I don't know why, it's easy to say, So please feel free to call me Roman too.
Dr. Roman: Actually, I quite like being called Roman. It's got a cool and kind feel to it.
Choice: Nice to meet you, Doctor. ...Ahh, so fluffy...
Dr. Roman: Fluffy? Oh, you mean my hair? I don't have time, so it always ends up like this.
Fuou: ..................
Dr. Roman: Huh? That, on your shoulder, is that the rumoured mysterious creature? Wow, it's my first time seeing it!
Dr. Roman: I had heard of it from Mashu, but to think it was real... I wonder if I can try to tame it.
Dr. Roman: Come on, take my hand. If you do, I'll give you something nice to eat.
Fuou: ......Fuu.
*Exit: Fuou*
Dr. Roman: H-Huh? Now I just look really pathetic Being ignored like that...
Dr. Roman: A-Anyway, let's go back to what we were talking about.
Dr. Roman: You're one of the rookies that arrived toay, right? Has the director directed her thunder towards you yet?
Dr. Roman: Ah, me too. As a matter of fact, I'm due for a scolding now.
Dr. Roman: You know the ray-shift experiment is beginning soon, right? All of the staff have been sent out.
Dr. Roman: But my job is managing everyone's health. So I don't have anything to do.
Dr. Roman: When it comes to the Magi's Spirit Housings(coffins), It's better to do vital checks by machine.
Dr. Roman: The director said "When Romani's here, everything feels too relaxed!" And evicted me, so I came here.
Dr. Roman: But then you arrived. And like meeting a saviour in hell, you have lifted me from my loneliness.
Dr. Roman: Together we shall disperse boredom with leisurely small talk, And also deepen our friendship!
Choice: That's right. This is my room you know. Yeah, but I'm not alone.
Dr. Roman: Yeah, that means I can play in my friend's room! Yahoo, I've got a new friend!
*Time passes*
Dr. Roman: ...so, that's Chaldea's structure. It was built at an altitude of 6000 meters deep into a mountain...
Lev: Romani, the Ray-shift is about to begin. Just in case, could you come here?
Lev: Team A is in perfect condition, But some of Team B are unfamiliar with the process.
Lev: It's mostly anxiety. The coffins are just cockpits after all.
Dr. Roman: Hi Lev. That's a shame. I'll bring some anaethesia.
Lev: Yes, please hurry. Are you in the medical office? You should be able to arrive in two minutes from there.
Choice: But you're not in the medical office. This happened because you were hiding...
Dr. Roman: ...Awawa... Please don't say anything... From here, it'll take at least five minutes...
Dr. Roman: Well, it'll be fine if I'm a little late. Team A is fine after all.
Dr. Roman: Oh, that man just now was Lev Rinor.
Dr. Roman: He is the magician who made the pseudo-celestial observation telescope- The Near-future-observation-lens Shiva.
Dr. Roman: Shiva not only observes Chaldea, almost the entire facility As well as projects are monitored.
Dr. Roman: By the way, the summoning system central to Ray-shifting Was created by the previous director.
Dr. Roman: In order to realize the theory, The Atlas Institute Provided us with this supercomputer to use as a pseudo-spirit calculator.
Dr. Roman: Thus, a large amount of talented people were gathered In order to perform this mission.
Dr. Roman: For a mediocre doctor like me to witness it, It can't be helped if I'm not invited to come along.
Dr. Roman: Thank you for talking with me, Gudako-chan.
Dr. Roman: Once you're settled, come visit me in the infirmary. I'll treat you to some delicious cake.
*Explosion sounds, alarms ringing, scene goes dark*
Dr. Roman: Huh? The lights went out-
Announcer A: Emergency. Emergency. Fire has broken out in the Central Power Plant and Central Control Room.
Announcer A: The partition walls of the central section will be closed after 90 seconds. Please retreat beyond the second gate as soon as possible.
Announcer A: I repeat, fire has broken out in-
Dr. Roman: That explosion just now!? What the hell is going on!?
Dr. Roman: Monitor, display the central control room! Is everyone safe!?
*Scene: Central Control Room: On fire*
Choice: How awful... The control room, that's where Mashu...
Dr. Roman: This...
Dr. Roman: Gudako, evacuate immediately. I'll head to the control room.
Dr. Roman: The partition wall will close soon. You need to get out before then!
*Enter: Fuou*
Fuou: .............
Choice: Escaping at this point would be... I know. Let's go rescue Mashu!
Fuou: Fuou!
Dr. Roman: No, hey, you're going the wrong way! Turn around, the second gate's that way!
Dr. Roman: You're not planning on coming with me!? Are you looking for survivours...
Dr. Roman: Aargh, there's no time to argue! Get back there before the partition wall closes!
*Scene: Central Control Room: On fire*
Dr. Roman: ... There aren't any survivors. I need to check on Chaldea's condition.
Dr. Roman: For an explosion to happen here, It can't be an accident, it must be sabotage.
Announcer A: Power department cessation confirmed. Power generation insufficient.
Announcer A: Error switching to backup power supply. Please switch manually.
Announcer A: 40 seconds remaining until partition wall closure. Please evacuate the central section-
Dr. Roman: ... I'm going to the underground power plant. I have to stop this fire.
Dr. Roman: You hurry back the way we came. You can still get there in time.
Dr. Roman: Don't take any detours! get out and wait for rescue from outside!
*Exit: Dr. Roman*
Gudako: ...................

Gudako: .......!
Mashu: ........ah.
Choice: Hold on, I'll help you! ...(These injuries, they're too much...)

Gudako: !?
Mashu: Ah......

Announcer B: Warning to observation staff. Chaldea's state has changed.
Announcer B: Shiva's near future obsevation data has been rewritten.
Announcer B: In the near future of earth, Traces of humanity can not be found.
Announcer B: It is not possible to confirm the survival of the human race. The future of humanity can not be guaranteed.
Mashu: Chaldea is... bright red... No, something like that can't-
Announcer A: Central Partition closed. site clearing will begin in 180 seconds.
Mashu: ... The, partition wall, is closed. ... We can't, leave.
Choice: ...Yeah, it seems that way. But we're together. ...Seems that way.

| Persona is a console series... At least most of them. The ones I've played.
Immersion means feeling drawn in by the book, game, tv show, etc to the point where you tune out other things around you. Portable games can't really do that, at least not for me.
That said, I don't dislike portable games. I've played a few I enjoyed. The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of the Seasons and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of the Ages were very fun games. Super Mario 2 and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror were fun in a sort of mindless play way. Oh, and I really enjoyed Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~

its a feeling people get that make them think they enjoy somethings better than others because of the atmosphere around it i.e. you`ll enjoy something better on a couch with a bottle of coke and a bag of chips ,than playing it while hung upside-down from a flagpole anyway, gtg bye

| Focusing, yes. But immersion is more complete than that. I can be focusing on doing a homework assignment, but I know I'm in my room doing homework. Immersion is to become part of the world you're enjoying. You go from being a passive participant to feeling like you're in it. Yeah, not quite, madarra. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~ | |

| everyone has their own way/ take on enjoyment. She likes to get absorbed into stuff she has researched before delving into the chosen material. The Research beforehand prepared her for the whisk-away-to-fantasy-land. Thus she knows that she will enjoy that thing more than others (cause of their lack of research).
I like diving with minimal research, I get much more enjoyment in that retrospect. If I know everything that I need to know before hand, that ruins the fun factor for me. It may not stop me for still getting into it, but there are more chances that I'll stop midway. (I get bored easily but get back into the left stuff at a later time when I've almost forgotten why i got bored in the first place)
Her immersion/engrossment/dedication is what keeps her invested in what she does, thus "enjoys" it more than others. People get that feeling from various sources.
I like privacy, intimacy, thus I prefer the 3DS or portable consoles/gaming devices/ etc. She likes them big and surrounded all around with what she gets into.
Maybe the Microsoft Holo Lens will change her attitude towards "mobile" gaming with its "sort-off-real" "immersion" approach to everyday life XD

| Clearly, I'm either not communicating the concept properly, or you're just being difficult.
Well, I like privacy too. I don't generally play games in front of others, even when it is on a tv. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~

| Why? What's exactly is funny about it?
If you've ever gone to a theatre and watched a movie and lost focus of the theatre around you and the people and whatever else and fully concentrated on the movie, that's immersion. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~
