that was more garbage than the anime. literally just an eye candy, AND, AND THEY ****ed UP BERSERKER MOMENT!

UBW had great fighting scenes, but unless you read the VN, I don't see how you could have understood what was going on.

Sadly, yes, they completely skipped Berserker's only redeeming moment.

That's the point. UBW had a fantastic story, the majority of which was skipped to just go from fighting scene to fighting scene.

oh, so what you meant to say was that you could not know all the extra bits as well.
Any was the film told me about shiro and archer and as some one who has yet to read UBW it was enjoyable and understandable.

Exactly. The film didn't really show anything outside the fighting scenes. Sure, you could figure out the basic gist of things, but that falls utterly short of the fantastic story the VN presents.

It was enjoyble to see the fight scenes you were familiar with animated, but that was about it.

like Archer vs Shirou, it was over 1 hour of just exposure after exposure, were you could understood, you could feel the despair and suffering Archer went through and understand why he wanted to kill Shirou.

and in the movie, it was like 5/10 minutes of just sword clashing, and all you got was that Archer had a bad past and he wanted to kill Shirou to revert it.

you were never explained just how bad it was, just how desperate he was and just how much he still loved saving people even if it didnt end the way he wanted

and thats just one moment in a series of moments that were done badly or just outright skipped

I mean, FSN has huge amounts of dialogue and exposition. You just can't make a movie out of that without cutting major corners.

and the funny part was that even the fight scenes were butchered. like the only actually fight scene that was done correctly was the first one of Berserker vs Archer and Saber, and even that one had an inconsistency, though insignificant.

i mean, Archer vs Shirou was completly butchered, Berserker and Gilgamesh went from an epic survival of a monster to a sad slaughter of a big guy, Lancer vs Archer was laughable, like Rho Aius vs Gae Bolg was awesome and you didnt even feel anything in that, heck, unless you knew what they were, you wouldnt even know when it happen since it was so sudden and lasted like 1 second in the movie. And dont even get me started on the Gilgamesh vs Shirou. DEEN shame on you!

Yeah, the fight scenes were better in the VN. But they were still cool. And it was good material for amvs. :P

Ufotable will do it better. everybody was worried about the fight scenes in Fate/Zero since Ufotable never had done that many fight scenes. but they proved to be good at them. So if anything Fate/Stay Night remake will have actual good fights.

I'm sure it will. I just really hope they don't redo the Fate route. That would be a waste. Fate route is great, but I'd rather get to finally see HF animated.
