the plan is about 6 months rin i will hopefully have the prelude done by the end of the week, was having some computer troubles again which delayed it

Ryu book1 went over by an absurd amount of months, unless you're schedule is getting more open as the years pass I wouldn't count on book 3 haha.

so if we wanna improve our abilities, we just include it in the sheet and you'll say if it's approved or not?

I think my ref sheet that i posted in the sign ups, though it was the same i posted the first time, is pretty fair at being a contender with the rest of the characters, but I would like to since my character has been with a group for a while, for his mana pool not to be empty anymore, thus he has acess to his full power set, is this acceptable?

Body hardening = 100-200 mana per second
charged shot (with either the gun or the grappling hook) per shot = 50-100
Grappling hook retract acceleration = 50-100 per second
familiar regeneration = 200-300 per second
familiar teleport = [20 per meter]^2 (so 400 mana for one meter or to suddenly change position of it's body, 1,600 for 2 meters, 3,600 for 3 meters, ect.)

Maybe and average person can have 1,000 mana drained out of them.

His natural mana regeneration per days is 5 mana

his mana pool at the start of book 2 =  19,483/1,000,000

unfortunately(or fortunately) this RP doesn't run on statistical value system. Thus you will have to translate that into "how quickly the character gets tired after X amount of spells cast" /"how long he has to wait between spell casting(or any ability)" "How many times he can do so and so ability in a row" / etc.

For example: My character has an ability that enables him to transfer himself into other beings. but he has a limit of 5 transfers in a row. after the fifth he has to return back to his original body so that he can begin recharging for the next jump. The recharge time is dependent on how much energy/stamina he used while inside the varied vessels. Therefore it can take from 1min to 10min etc before he could jump into a new vessel.
The drain in Energy/stamina, in my case is dependent on his ability to use his mind to fight the living organisms psyche. This can vary, depending on the kind of object he is trying to take over, etc.

So you see, without any fixed restrictions set upon oneself via mathematical formulas, the character can become somewhat versatile and one is able to build their character with a bit of leeway. (ofcourse if it begins to break anything, then the GameMasters will advise you as to how to proceed/compromise)

While I understand the reasoning behind it, and while i usually actually prefer rps without statistics (by a lot actually), I feel as though failing to keep up with my character's mana statistic would break him fairly easily, in his individual case I would think it best to keep up with his "mana" statistically. IT's because his mana pool is so skewed in comparison to other characters. He can hold an enormous amount of energy within himself enabling him to fight hard for a very very long time, however it's always to his advantage, with his stunted mana recharge, to save as much mana as possible as it is very unlikely that he will fully recharge. I feel as though I'd be cheating if I didn't keep up with my mana pool.

As an example "my character would get tired after anywhere from 1 to 5000 seconds of using his ability." I would thing this needs a bit more regulation.

My plan would be to just put my amount of mana at the bottom of each post, no other statistics needed.

I would personally rather you use an easier to understand format, such as ghosty's "I can do this 5 times a day, depending on the amount needed." kinda thing.

Do you any suggestions for doing that without changing the nature of his mana pool? maybe 5 times a day maybe 50 maybe 500. all depends on how much of his hard accumulated resources he is willing to spend. It's almost like buying something, I wouldn't think he can only buy something 5 times a day would be a good way to manage him.

Ultimately it's your choice, but I'd like to keep my slow recharge, high capacity system.

I have a few ideas, but I suppose we'll figure that out once we know which one of us is your gm.

its fine now, I managed to come up with a more general description (for my characters ability) which actually works better
