I've also only recently started using it. I think it started out as a free voice and text chat for gamers but all kinds of groups can use it. You basically have your own 'server' where your chatroom is hosted. There's a web app, a mobile app and an app for Mac and Windows.

Basically it's a lobby where people can get together for quick chats. Helpful, when forums go down and people are wondering what happened and how to contact each other. Also because it has a mobile app version, one can make a quick message about them going to post in a short while as they are busy with something right now.

Is easier to make a quick message on a mobile when outside or away from your computer. Than open your browser, load your bookmark if any, then type in your post.

And for those who simply want to chat about their day, that's an option available to them too.

I'm hoping the old members who have been reluctant to come back to the forum may find this medium easier to reconnect and eventually ease back into the forum lifestyle and our RPs flourish over again.

And there's nothing wrong for the current members to have an alternate medium to converse in if it helps them for the benefit of keeping RP Bastion Alive.

P. S. @Illya: you may need to send an announcement email (with my or yours generated link) which goes to all users accounts at the forum for them to know of this extension of RP Bastion.

You can imagine it works a bit like skype, just less intrusive and better for bigger groups. Most of the conversations are in text form anyways.

Yeah sorry about that, I've set up in a way that people can post once I give them a role(add them to a member group with typing privilege)
This helps protecting the chanells from outside people (public) from spamming
So now it's sort of a members only server
Though the default General Tab can not be restricted and so is open to all
