He wishes everyone either way....

I check (used to) Facebook every year on my birthday(either by logging in through my other accounts or main one) to see if anyone wished me... it is another thing that I no longer thank or give a like to the posters (again used to).

nonetheless, you never know who might be looking/checking in. So it's always decent to wish someone and make them feel missed.

..... while on the topic of checking in once in a while... I haven't checked into Facebook for two years now, so I have no idea if I got any friends and families wishing me anymore

I don't really take Facebook birthday wishes seriously. It's bare-bones effort.

but now that's all one is left with to contact each other. Everyone is spread all over the world. Calling cross countries costs enough that you prefer to save the money for more important calls like business related. No one sends emails anymore. The next alternative is Whatsapp kind of smartphone apps (which may or may not be free of charge). You can't visit eachother on your birthdays because you live too far away from eachother.

So in the end, you take what you get. If someone makes the extra effort, then you know that they are the people to keep close to


and yes, I don't really care who wished me on facebook as they are just facebook friends (or family). But living away from eachother for years... you tend not to hold any attachments. The classmates added as Facebook Friends... they were just that, classmates, not chums or close buddies. I haven't even met my nieces or nephews, I haven't even met half of my cousins, forget meeting all of my Uncle's and aunts. I've already have had an uncle died without ever meeting him .. So yeah, all the people who  may wish me... they do it out of, habit.

So I received an Email on one of my Hotmail accounts(posing as a Chinese person); the subject title reads as thus:
RE: 29 MILLION USD FOR YOU REPLY TO MY EMAIL (dir_chen18@yahoo.com.tw)

So, It made me think. Maybe I should sue the e-mailer if I don't get my promised 29Mil as soon as I reply back to the email ...

Unfortunately the mailer can simply resort to stalling and saying that there was no definite time frame mentioned of receiving the money . But technically, I should get the promised money after I reply back the first time and not by doing anything else or replying to any more mails 


I should only reply back by saying.
"Give me the money !!! "

There was a talker on Ted Talks who spoke about his "adventures" with those kinds of emails.

He knew they were scammers so what he did was to make a fake account, wait till he received one of them and then began conversing with them. He would be acting as if he was really interested in whatever story they were trying to sell to him. XD

You know, it is a rather warm surprise to find such old friends still here. I'm not sure what to say beyond a simple I am glad to see you all again, it has truly been a long time. There were times when my thoughts would still travel back to the tales and conversations I shared with others here and before, and I hope you do not mind me sneaking quietly back in through the back door.

Yes well I had to take a blowtorch to it for a while I suppose. I must admit it was actually your message which prompted my visit ghosty, I had thought of checking in before but due to several new machines I had no record of the site and had, well, forgotten the name.

Good to see there is still the usual roleplay going on. In that vein of thought, I am actually currently running one, and playing a couple more tabletop sessions, and the one I am just getting into running is based off exalted 3e. As it is actually rather suitable for online play (especially when one uses roll20), I have been musing with the idea of opening up another venture using the same system. Would you perhaps be interested in such an event?

Well I might know a way to breathe more life into it. Would just involve a bit of negotiation.

Yea, my boss on a certain writers site always wanted a working RP section but it always dies for various reasons. I thought she might like to make something like partnership here. That way we'd get users and she'd get rps. Either way, it's all just random thoughts that popped in my head.
