Cause there's two people that started the Monster Girl genre. There's this guy that started the Musume franshise which is erotic in nature but overall the main focus is in the dailylife of the monster girls

then there the other guy that started the Monster Girl Encyclopedia. That one is 100% hentai.

Which do you prefer, Jorg? I assume the slice of life stuff.

Like I said it was a long time ago and I don't remember the details,  just the fact /feeling that I preferred the Jelly type monster girl

Slice of Life is better on the notion that the monster girls, aren't just any monster girls, but actually characters with personalities, querks and backstories. So there's a bigger connection than there is in an encyclopedia.

That said, both aslo have differant approaches. Encyclopedia is more "realistic" in the sense that some of the monster girls there are outright murderous. The notion is, something bad happened and all the previous monsters got turned into monster girls that are cursed with pure lust. But a zombie girl with lust is still not a good thing.


The Slice of Life has a more "bright" approach, monster girls are just normal people from differant races.


one also happens in a high fantasy world while the other one happens in the real world.


Basically both have good, but due to one being more family friendly it get's more atention then the other.

So, what do you like about monster girls more than... you know, regular girls.

i like animals more than i like humans in general

so i guess if you fuse both it ends up being positive

I mean from design perspective, they look more cool, cute, dangerous, naive, innocent, angrier than just regular humans :V

I like them cause they are closer  to the demon genre or the occult viewpoint. (from my perspective}
I'm more tuned to that side, so mostly anything non human yet could be close to it, I'm cool with that. And would choose them over "normal" human creations, anytime.

Well, I think we like other supernatural races because they're not the default or norm, so they excite us.

Knowing my nature, if I spend some quality time with the other races, on a daily basis or so, I would get very bored of them pretty soon and wish to move on to something else. :/

At the end I'll only be happy or content with my lonesome.

But the problem (for me) is that after a while when I have moved on to another, I might go back to what I liked before... only to re-remember (after giving it a chance) why I left it in the first (or second) place >__>

@Jorg: I googled... and I think the "Slimes"(Blue, Red, Bubble, etc) seem more familiar than the "Jelly's" that you linked (Musume)
