I use the standard attack quite a lot.

i used to use it a lot too, but then i got Deathbound and started using it exclusively, i even started carrying a demon with Diarama, later on Diarahan just to heal the MC

It's a case by case basis for me. It is an awesome attack skil though.

as long as you have the proper Null`s you could make it.

i did Beel before the diet building so you should be higher lvl than me...i just dont remember what lvl i was.

Black Rider and Mother Harlot should null death, and I can equip the proper magatama if needed. It would be great if Kali did, but I don't recall.

according to the wiki she repels death so you should be fine,

and what do you mean "If needed" its not like you`ll kill him before he cast Death Flies twice. so that you can hinge yourself on Endure

I think you mean Makakaja. Doesn't do much good when they use Beast Eye to give themselves more turns. That cheating bastard Mot had a turn where he alternated between Beast Eye and Makakaja to give himself about seven turns before using Megidolaon. I have no idea how I survived it.

no, i meant Takukaja, Takukaja increases both magic and Physical damage while Makakaja only magic, if you stack on makakaja afterwards you can reach 8 buffs, add in 4 more rakunda`s and you wont believe the numbers you could get.

you probably survived it with Endure...

I thought Tarukaja was only physical...

No, my whole party did. Only lost about 200, even though we had taken more damage from them in earlier rounds.

you can read it when you cast it, Takukaja says Physical/Magic attack increased while Makakaja only says Magic attack increased

then i dont know either...

I know War Cry affects both, but I never observed that for Tarukaja. Why even have Makakaja then?

Maybe the game couldn't abide Mot's ridiculous cheating.

4 Takukaja equal double the damage

4 takukaja`s and 4 Makakaja equal triple the magic damage

4 takukaja`s and 4 Makakaja and 4 rakunda`s equal 6 times the magic damage...

but then again there`s never any actual need for such ridiculous damage... maybe its there to balance out the fact that physical attack can crit.

but in the next game they made, Digital Devil Saga, they are completely separate, Takukaja only affects physical and Makakaja only affects magical

no, but the translation is final, all they`ll do from now on is fix any bugs that get reported, so you can try it if you want.

new levels,bosses,characters,challenges.

its not like they added any new story, just 2 new endings that mean about as much as the first ones

Eh. Not really worth it then. I think they could have had a really great game if there were actual story to it all.

then again you can enjoy its gameplay many more times than you could enjoy the story that many times over...

I suppose. It's fun gameplay, but a little too challenging to really get into. I mean there's no checkpoints or saves or anything for a game so long.

1 playthrough is generally only 1 hour, and they added a continue feature now,if you exit the game in the middle of a game you can continue from where you left off now.

also, i`d say they made it easier(that or i played to much of the original) they also added a hard mode now.

Also, the battle with Samael went quite badly... I protected against nerve instead of mind, so God's Curse royally screwed me over. I need to go get that magatama from Shibuya that protects against it.
