Thrillers tend to be more suspenseful and tense rather than outright scary.

there was one resident evil movie that was more thriller than scary.

I never bothered with the Resident Evil movies. Those are more along the lines of the "cheesy horror" category to which I referred..

oh and I already have a large 3D TV but that's in the living room and mostly being used by my brother watching K-Dramas or someone else using it, I prefer the privacy of my room :/

Thriller implies jump scares then?  Not want.

@Illya: I find most horror/thriller/scary/etc movies humorous >__> So I guess it depends on an individual's taste

@Spiriter: Yeah that's the one I stated that I didn't like the design (I'm more of a dark glasses type) Check Vuzix company (though they need to upgrade their tech to HDMI <__<)

Seems the gfx competition has gotten no attention after all.

I just find it funny how people get scared by the actions of the monsters/murderers/scene/etc
I guess its the actions and reactions of everyone that I find funny. But then again if a flesh devouring monster or axe wielding maniac comes at me... I won't be screaming and running for safety out of fear but rather take the enemy head on and deal with the situation calmly >__>

Good/brilliant = same thing in my book :P
