Yes, but because of the fact that I can't change post count, I instead have a log in the staff section to keep track of the bonus posts. They don't count toward the normal rank, but when added to your current post count, can get you the V.I.P. rank.

This doesn't really tell us anything. Although it's annoying how Yugioh seems to get more and more colorful and flashy.. Then again, that's the least of its problems...

Exactly. Sure, people like Yugi looked slightly ridiculous, but at least most of the characters looked normal and the overall feel was pretty dark. Now it's bright and sparkly and over-the-top.

Even worse is what it's done to the game. I mean you literally can't win unless you play the newest type of deck. There's no room for variety and creativity anymore.

and many of the cards from the older stuff are banned. Further limiting your choices to the latest. I personally don't like Xyz. (or, however that's spelled)

I hate XYZs. I wasn't too fond of synchros, but XYZs are absolutely broken.

I just saw "Sword of the Stranger", twas a fantastic movie. Yu-gi-oh is like the Legacy format in Magic The Gathering, you play to have fun, or you play to win, not both.

I play for fun, but it seems like everyone else just plays to win, which kind of ruins it.

I don't even remember synchros all that well. I liked fusion monsters though.

See, the real issue is that each new series doesn't just introduce a new type of card; it shoves it down your throat. Every character's deck and every new archtype revolves around it.

In 5D's, there was basically nothing but synchros. In Zexal, everyone uses XYZs. It just gets old. At least Yugioh and GX (with the exception of Jaden) used fusions fairly sparingly.

Jaden/Judai was a fusion whore.

and don't forget, Zexal also turned the Yu-Gi-Oh world on it's head, AND gave us a main character that is so overly 'typical shounen' that it almost sickens me that he's a yu-gi-oh protagonist. Scratch that, it totally sickens me.

Lol, indeed. Although it was justified, since his monsters were pretty much helpless on their own.

Yeah, I didn't like Jaden or Yusei much, but the Zexal guy is just pathetic.
