Well, I don't think I could ever have a romantic relationship with someone I'd never see. But I certainly don't want you to stop talking to me.

Anyway, I've started my scary movie marathon for October. Last week I watched Rosemary's Baby. This weekend, it's The Gift. I hope it's scary. 

I used to watch scary movies with Gedo. :/

Well it's a nice thought. I doubt I'll ever have the money to go there XD

Last night lol. I guess you missed my posts about it. 

It's just a page with a chat box on one side and a page for writing on the other side that everyone in the chat can edit in real time, kind of like google docs. We used the left side to keep track of the movies we'd watched and planned to watch, and on the right side we talked while watching.

I mean, I'm very picky when it comes to what movies I watch, but I love watching a good movie.

I have a problem with live acting. I can't take movies serious because of how I can't help but laugh at the people pretending to be something they are not.

Really? That's... Interesting. Certainly, bad acting can ruin the illusion. But there are plenty of good actors and actresses out there.

It's not the notion of bad acting. It's the notion of acting all together. Acting is people pretending to be something they are not in front of an audiance. That, no matter how someone tries to explain, is weird.

I don't see why it's strange at all. It's just another method of storytelling. One of the more interesting ones, really, in the sense that you are the vessel through which something else comes to life.

Well, let's face it. Everyone acts. You might act polite or respectful to an authority figure or act interested to a conversation when you don't care otact to hide facets of yout ppersonality that you're afraid to share. We never totally show our true selves because we're always acting to some degree. 

Professional acting is just taking that to another level, covering up your true self enough so that you become someone entirely different. And as long as you have empathy and imagination, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to emulate the mindset of the character. 

I think the only thing that would throw me off would be noticing things like cameras and microphones intruding on the illusion you're submerging yourself in.

I did go with the intention of telling her that, but the story played out somewhat differently.
To be honest, the only reason I've not spoken to her recently is because she hasn't contacted me. She had like 0 free time for a while, and I don't know if that's changed or not.

What happened then? :O

that's not a story I'm willing to share.

it wasn't anything romantic though, just a meeting between friends.
