Chat Thread 17: Game of Chats

District9 is a movie of a man sent to evaluate the "housing" of the aliens in the "concentration Camp" and the "things that happens to him during that "job" of his.

It starts of as a journalistic-esque movie but develops into something of an okay movie... it wasn't bad, you could watch it. It has feels and compassion and stuff :/

Though for a proper "Hollywood" movie, I would rather recommend Elysium. That is a more action and story packed movie. Similar location (urban) setting as District9

Farscape... I kept restarting it and every time something or the other would happen and I couldn't continue :/
Will really need to take some time out for that show. It quite good. used to watch it on off when it aired on the telly.

I was having such a pleasant workday and then someone had to go and ruin it just when I reached home
Everything seemed perfectly fine, and then BAM!! someone who has been receiving one of the highest salaries, goes out and sends in his resignation letter
I mean the heck is the problem with employees!! We pay them better than others, treat them better than others, give them prestigious job opportunities, we treat them as family, and this is how they respond to all that.
There are other low paid employees in the company that are struggling with day to day life and they stick on to do their job where as these well paid people have the tenacity to say "I Quit." in an email.
Why don't you come and say that, to-my-face

The thing is that the only place that can take them is our rival companies They a;ready took two of our people. First one wasn't any thing so we let her go. The other one was creating unrest between his fellow co-workers so we let him go(got recruited by another company)... but this one was strongly rooted into his place and there didn't feel or seem any cause for him to just up and leave. (better paid than the previous two). He was even fine with his fellow co-workers as well... sure there was some work pressure on him but who doesn't have that when working in a government level project. We are also in the works of hiring another person who would have been working under him and would have been quite the help to him.
We be nice to people and this is how they treat us... that's it, no more favors, we will turn into a stone cold employment where we treat all our employees as whipped slaves. Muhahahaha Joking

Don't you have non-compete contracts or whatever?

We don't know yet if a rival Co. sent him an offer. I will have to meet with him, next time I see him and find out the main cause of his resignation letter. It is customary for the HR Department to have a meeting with the person after they issue their letter. But yeah if he is thinking of leaving for a rival Co. then we can't let him leave for that reason only; as by law he would need to wait a whole year before he can join a rival Co. So that decision wouldn't be in his favor. But I think he may be able to find a loop hole and still get through... we'll see next workday.

Ah, I see. Well, at least you guys have your bases covered.

No, but I have heard of Elysium, and it sounds pretty good. I'd be willing to give it a shot.
