Ascension: The Immortal Emperor

Basil’s father was a noble and his mother was Dolofonos; his mother was a slave, who was bought by one of the nobles that considered well respected. However, that respected noble’s name didn’t last long as the man really fall for his mother, Shula. Was it the beauty that attracted him? Was it her strength that attracted him? No one knows, but he was crazy enough to give up everything to live with Shula and Shula was also crazy to accept that noble to be her husband; the noble family did not take it well when Basil’s father decided to marry the slave, and as they did not approve of his love for Shula, he ran away with Shula before his family harm Shula. And Shula turned her back against her family as her family did not welcome the noble. In the end, they isolated themselves from the world and lived deep inside the mountain. It took them a year to make their life stable; Basil’s father worked hard as a mage for hire to get the money they needed for shopping (however, he didn’t take risky tasks) and Shula made it sure warm food was there for the family. As their life became more stable, Shula gave a birth to Basil. And being afraid that their child could be the victim of the society, Shula and her love decided to train him and teach him. Just like his mother, Basil quickly learned well how to hunt, and how to fight to protect his own life. Even though, training from his mother was life-threatening, he quickly adapted to his training. Soon, he was able to fight back against his mother with weapons skill; he started outclassing his mother. Soon, it was obvious that he should be tested with the nature (Fighting bears, lions, and etc). However, Basil’s training with magic, which was thought by his father wasn’t getting anywhere. To make it worse, he also showed zero talents in blood magic. When they about to give up hopes for Basil’s talents in magic, they met a stranger in the mountain. The family found the unconscious female and in their house they treated her. When the stranger woke up, she smiled and revealed it to them that she was a mage just like Basil’s father. The stranger told Basil parents that Basil’s magic talents were not in the ordinary magic, but it is in the form of Athevna Magic. An Athevna magic none like any others; psychokinesis, the stranger named it. The magic had no words to initiate, no words to learn, but a magic that works with his will. “It is a scary talent”, she commented, “but I can teach him to control it.”

How long he had been thought by the stranger? As he had his training in the mountain, it was not clear. However, he soon became a force to be reckoned; according to his teacher, he was able to use 40% of his real power, a sign that he could become stronger.
The stranger left his family after telling Basil that there was nothing else to teach.

All this happened when he was a teenager. As each year pass by, his magic became stronger, and he was able to understand it and apply to different situation. He was able to teleport himself into different places; he was able to move things around with his thoughts... His magic showed him that it had lots of application.

After 4 years later, when Basil reached his 18, the strange mage visited them again; however, she did not visit them with intention of good will. She came to Basil’s house with her friends, threatening him to come with them. As his father was no longer strong mage, and as his mother cannot fight all the wizards, he had to go with them.

It was this day that he had encountered the ‘La Nihaya’, a weapon that strangers were looking for and the weapon that decided to choose him as owner. ‘La Nihaya’ was a weapon with a thought, and furthermore, it was able to fight back. It could float itself to fight the foes, and as it had no definite physical form, it transformed into many shapes and sizes to fight its foe. The strange cult had hard time capturing it, and with their magic it was definitely impossible. However, this time they had Basil.

Basil was forced by them to face the weapon, and it was one on one. The weapon struck first and with instinct, Basil stopped its movement. “Interesting…A mortal with the power to stop me before I strike…” said the weapon. “Mortal, what is your wish?” And Basil wished for one thing. “I want to have power to protect my family!” And with the blinding light, the strangers were all dead.

“I have chosen you as my master, mortal. Tell me your name to finalize this contract.” And Basil said it without any hesitation. “My name is Basil Zaahir! Son of Tabassum Zaahir and Shula Zaahir! I accept your contract.”

“You have accepted your contract, thus, my powers are only yours and no others are able to use me. I will curse others if they touch me, remember that mortal.”

Basil didn’t know how serious this contract was and this weapon led to his parent’s death. He joined the mercenary after that incident; he couldn’t dispose the weapon nor did weapon leave his side. He regretted making the contract. To make it worse, the next generation of his family was bound by that contract.

After the incident with his family, he decided to become a mercenary to help people, who could not pay the proper price for the help.

Free of the Sun: A curse carried by those who did not join the Immortal Emperor's banner. Those of these blood cannot by under anyone's control no matter how much charisma that person may have, their stubbornness for freedom makes them incapable of following orders. At the same time, they are incapable of ordering others, they lack a clear characteristic in speech and will sound mostly as social incompetents. Speech stat cannot have points.

Dolofonos Blood: The blood of the hunter tribe, a tribe that survives through hunting results in it's people becoming monster hunters, unlike others, they do not train other to hunt, they are born as natural hunters. This grants them a strong sense of smell, hearing and sight, they are also resistant to poisons and illness. They also have a longer longevity than other people.
