[Web Story] Invisible War: The Five to Change, The Five to Aid

"Finally! I found it!" said the young man softly; he was clearly excited, but he did not shout about his discovery, nor he jumped nor he showed his joyfulness. The man carefully lifted what he had discovered, and put it into the container where it can be safely preserved. What he had discovered looked like a scripture; a worn out scripture it may not even carry any meaning. Even then, for some reason, the young man held the container close to his heart as if he had to guard the scripture no matter what happens. He softly muttered, "With this, I can finally go back home... with this I can finally..." The young man's voice trembled with uncontrollable emotions, soon his eyes started dripping tears. "Dad is coming back home, darling. Just wait for me..." said the man.

Slowly and steadily, the man finally came out from the darkness to the light. The warm breeze greeted the man; he was clearly outside, even though there was nothing in front of him, but sand. "I made it alive... I made it..." He muttered. Then he kneel on the sandy ground, started to cry out loud. "I made it alive, I made it.... I can see you one more time... dad will...."

Before the man could complete his sentence, the sound of drawn blade echoed behind him. The young man quickly stood up from where he was and started to run; the man's face turned pale and it was clear in his face that he was horrified. "No! I am going to see my daughter! I cannot die now! I will not-" The young man's sentence was interrupted as he rolled on the sandy ground. The man gazed at the being that was chasing him. "Please, let me go! I beg you!" The man begged at the being, but he fall silently to the sandy ground. The young man's blood soon colored where he met his doom.

"Dad, you don't call that bed time story!" shouted the girl and the man, who appears to be her father, laughed heartily. "Well, you wanted to know about the scriptures that came to our museum. So here I am, telling you about how it came to us." The girl stared at her father, annoyed. "Well it doesn't make sense! Dead person cannot deliver things, you saying it was delivered by the ghost?" Her father grinned, "That I cannot tell you, darling."  The man yawned, and stood up from the chair where he was telling his daughter a story; his daughter face clearly showed that she was not satisfied. Even so, the father gave his daughter a kiss on her forehead, "Good night, Jane" said the man. The annoyed girl sighed, then smiled back at him. "good night, dad"

Jane's father went out from Jane's room and gently closed the door behind him. Jane's father smiled then muttered as he walked towards his room. "Well, I also wonder time to time.... if it is really true...."

The discovered scripture was delivered and it was delivered with the translation of the scripture:


In addition to that, it was delivered with the sender as "From Unknown Archaeologist" which surprised many, and it led some people to think it was a bad prank. Until, it was analysed that the scripture was real deal.

Then several years later, dead man's bones were found in dessert. It held a container for scriptures which was empty and the skeletons were intact except his chest bones. It was then people started to make a story of mysterious expedition that never surfaced, and so the story of unknown archaeologist was born.

Jane's father chuckled, "it would be interesting, if it was real."


Several years later, Jane developed serious illness and she died, Jane's father as well followed his daughter's death with same illness. The illness cause was unknown, and it was hard to detect who was infected or not. What was wrong with them? The doctor couldn't answer that, nor could they come up with the cure. However, such illness victim were not only Jane and her father from France; Germany, England, Spain, Italy, all parts of the Europe reported the mysterious death. However, it wasn't the only Europe that reported such incident. Korea, China, Japan, Mongol, Thailand, all parts of Asia as well started to report similar incident. Interestingly, African countries, America, Canada and Mexico had no such incident were happening. But, the fear of plague led those countries to prevent others from entering their country.

Especially U.S.A officers decided to raise the huge wall against the whole word; the defensive mechanism, they had been developing secretly, was decided to use against the infected world. However, as the project wasn't perfect, many entered the United states of America. Of course, some people decided to go to African countries and some decided to travel Canada. However, the fall of Canada and African countries were heard 20 years later, and during that 20 years, people of America had to make painful decision of what to do with their overpopulated country; the solution they came up was exiling the unwanted people in their country.

After 10 years from then on, the younger generations decided to protest against such practice. Over a million young adults had given their life to convince the officers to stop such practice. It was then another golden age had begun; the economy became stabilized, the crime rate that worried everyone started to fall greatly, the technology became even better, all of the sudden, everything was returning to normal or even greater.

However, no one knew that they were all victims of the war; the war that had been raging between the two parties. The war that couldn't be seen in naked eyes.

They were the victims of the invisible war that shaped the future of the world.
And the next Invisible war was about to begin.

"What!?" shouted Andrew with his eyes widely open; Hyun Jung grinned, even then she looked pretty, devilishly pretty. 'Wait, it doesn't matter if she's pretty or not! This is crazy!' thought Andrew. Hyun Jung smiled, "Thanks, and trust me, this isn't crazy talk." said Hyun Jung as she gave him a wink. "And you had a dream about me, didn't you?" she asked, and that made Andrew to jump away from her. "How did you know I was dreaming about a girl!? I didn't tell anyone else, but Mike!" Hyun Jung walked past Andrew gently, and giggled, "So you did. What did you do to me in the dream?" she asked as she turned around to face him. Andrew sighed, "Nothing... If you think I would do something to the girl who looked so helpless... you got me wrong." said Andrew, scratching his back hair, 'it can't be true that she's reading my mind... wait does she read others too?' thought Andrew, and Hyun Jung smiled gently. "Nope, I can't read other's mind. I can only read yours." Andrew face became paled; cheerfully Hyun Jung continued, "And no, I didn't get you wrong. You really are my knight." then she added, "even though, I was expecting little naughty answer from your age group." "Hey, not all guys are crazy about that stuff." Andrew commented as she generalized all of the guys in his age group. "Really? I thought it was healthy thing." 'this girl....has no shame....' thought Andrew and he literally felt himself becoming stone or something. It was too much revelation of what kind of a girl Hyun Jung was. "I was stating the fact, so you are heterosexual, Soo Ho Sunbae?" another surprising proof that she could read his mind, Andrew really felt uncomfortable. "Yes, I am heterosexual! And stop reading my mind like that!" Then all of the sudden, a voice sounded in his head, 'Well is this fair? Now, you can read mine, too.' 

There was a moment of silence between Andrew (Soo Ho) and Hyun Jung; 'What the-' Andrew said it in his thoughts, 'Why? surprised?' and Hyun Jung voice replied in his head. "Come on, Sunbae, let's get something to eat and talk about this further. You got nothing to do, so join me for the dinner." She suddenly grabbed Andrew hand, and from little body of hers, she had a strength to pull Andrew out from where he was standing. "How old are you really?" Andrew asked, "I just entered high school, but had excellent grade so I skipped two years." She said happily, "What?-" Hyun Jung finished his sentence, "Yes, I am in same grade as you are in. Hmm... so may be I should call you Oppa? since it's weird for students from same grade calling one Sunbae?" Andrew said 'Yes' in his head, but his mouth said "No way, that would make people to see our relationship in awkward way!" Hyun Jung grinned, "It's settled then, I will call you Soo Ho oppa from now on! Yay!" she said cheerfully. 

"This is..." Andrew looked at the big sign board that flashes bright colors at him, 'Dance Club *Couples Only*', "not the best place to talk.." Hyun Jung giggled, "What are you looking at? We are going to that place." Hyun Jung pointed out at the small banner under that shining banner. It read 'Sweet Destiny Cafe', and it had no neon lights like others. "You think it's open?" He asked, "Of course, it's open" Hyun Jung answered cheerfully. 

Even though the sign board was small and had no neon lights, the place was crowded with customers. 'Talk about contradiction...' thought Andrew. 'Yup, the life is full with contradiction' said Hyun Jung's voice. "Could we stop reading each other's mind?" Andrew asked, and Hyun Jung answered it short. "Nope."

As they sat on chairs of empty table, facing each other, Andrew opened his mouth to start conversation. However, Hyun Jung signaled him to be quiet. 'We got to keep this conversation to ourselves.' Said Hyun Jung in Andrew's head, calmly. 'Why?' asked Andrew; Hyun Jung sighed, 'Alright, just listen carefully, Soo Ho oppa. I am not going to repeat it again...'

So the story of invisible war began...


'Long time ago, there was no good nor evil, but balance. The environment, the creatures of water, earth and air.... all lived in harmony under the banner of balance. However, the Creator of the balance, was the one who broke the balance by making the beings he could not control. Those beings were human.

Human was not easily made, so the creator loved them dearly and soon he gave them the power similar to his, the only problem was that the creator was not aware that unlike him, the humans had light and darkness. Soon humans were divided into two groups; humans who were affected by the light were called Angels and human who were affected by the darkness were called demons. The two sides fought for the dominance and it almost destroyed the planet that was created by creator. 

By that war, the Creator was enraged, and he had created us, the second human beings; who had the power of the command, and  who had the soul that had more potential than angels and demons. Soon the second human beings drove the angels and demons to the other side of the planes that were created by Creator. 

The creator, however, knew they would come back to take back the planet that they had lost, so the Creator suggested the term to the three beings. An invisible war. The second human beings would play the part of the pieces like chessboard and the angels and demons would be mastermind. 

However, the conditions were that all those battle would happen in different plane and the results would not affect the world. 

But who would have known, the souls of the second humans were too powerful. The angels and demons couldn't control the souls and soon it consumed them. And that led to another disastrous effect to this world. The second human race, who had only awareness of balance started to develop the idea of good and evil, just like the old race of humans did. 

Realizing that, the creator told 666 people of the second human beings that their descendants would fight the invisible war that would decide the fate of this planet as the creator grew tired of the unpredictable outcome. Fortunately, the first condition that he had placed upon the planet still holds, but the second condition didn't.

So in the end, if the darkness wins the war, the planet would become unsuitable for organism to live. If the light wins the war, it would stop the disasters and the planet would be inhabitable for another 50 years. 

However, the third party became part of this war as well. And they call themselves 'Hate'. It is the beings created by the darkness. They do what the darkness wants them to do. 

The war happened for 3060th times, and the next one is coming. You and I are part of it.'


Hyun Jung order came to the table as she ended the long story; she starred at the chocolate ice cream for some time then used her small spoon to take a big scoop. "I don't remember ordering anything...?" said Andrew to waitress. "Oh my, my daughter didn't tell you? I am her mother. 

"Eh?" Andrew eyes looked at the waitress; the waitress looked younger than 20, yet she is claiming that she is the mother of the high school student. 

"Don't even dream about it" said Hyun Jung "My mom is 45, she is just suffering from 'look too young' disease." she added with annoyed tone. 


The waitress, Hyun Jung's mother, sat beside Andrew. "So are you my daughter's boyfriend?" she asked suddenly, Andrew shook his head, "Oh, really? Hmmm... interesting." she commented and her eyes looked at him intensely.

"That's enough, mom." Hyun Jung glared at her, but, mother didn't. Instead, she warmly smiled, and left the table. "Well, have fun you two and eat as much as you like. It's a treat."

"You know... you shouldn't act like that to your mother..." Andrew commented carefully, Hyun Jung smiled softly, "no worries, I am not angry at her. We are like friends." Another taking big scoop of her ice-cream, she asked him. "You are not going to eat?" 

"So... you are telling me to believe all that?" Said Andrew, Hyun Jung lean her cheek on her palm, staring at him. "Soo Ho oppa, do you want to be my boyfriend?" said Hyun Jung without any emotion; Andrew almost chocked his food. Coughing out hard, "What was that all about?" asked Andrew. Hyun Jung gave him devilish smile, "Oh? So you don't mind dating younger girls?" she commented softly, Andrew surprised by her question, it was clear that she was reading his mind again. "Well, the way I unlock your powers could be intimidating and it would be better if you take me as your girlfriend." Hyun Jung stated plainly. Andrew still looked confused, Hyun Jung added gently, "And you are cute."

Andrew face became red, or so Andrew thought; he could literally feel he was having a fever or something. "Hmmm, you know, Soo Ho oppa, have you dated a girl before?" she asked, Andrew, caught off guard, startled on his chair. "Wha-What? Er...yeah, had two..." Hyun Jung looked at him carefully. "So you are not that innocent, huh? So are you good at kissing?" Hyun Jung asked without any sign of blushing, 'How could she asked me that plainly?' thought Andrew. "It's important." said Hyun Jung. "The way I unlock your power would be a kiss, so I need to know if you are good at it or not." Andrew sighed and stood up from his chair. "You know, I had enough of your game. I am going home." Andrew commented with annoyance and started to take a step to walk away from the table.

It was then two hands grabbed his arm, pulling tightly. "What the-" Andrew face was turned and his eyes met Hyun Jung's eyes. It was then, for the first time he realized her eyes were not brown nor black nor blue, but red, and not just red. Hyun Jung had odd eye, she had one red eye and another one had the color of golden orange. The sudden momentum from Hyun Jung's pull, surprised Andrew. She surprised him even more as she closed her lips against his.

As the soft lips touched each other, Andrew could feel his heart beating faster and he felt something strange about his body. It felt like it was being recharged by electric current; he felt something he had been lost for long time finally coming back to him, his strength. Soon his lips were separated from gentle and sweet lips of Hyun Jung.

Dumbfounded, Andrew looked at her. Hyun Jung smiled, "So how was it? It was my first kiss." Then Hyun Jung smile faded away slowly; then her eyes suddenly started dropping tears. "Now, I can.. I can save them. Now... now I can help them..." As Hyun Jung cried Andrew who didn't know what to do, felt uneasy. "Who? What do you mean?" Then quickly wiping off her tears, Hyun Jung took out her tablet computer. "Look at my poem again, please." Said Hyun Jung as she passed it to Andrew. Andrew looked at the poem written by The Dark Justice.

Was he seeing things? The poems written by The Dark Justice sent out images to him. The horrific incident that was going to happen inside the train.

People were screaming, and there was a laughter of madness echoing inside the train. Then everything brightened with the sound of 'boom'.

The silence came after the blinding light; the sight it came after made Andrew to be frozen. There was nothing, but black ashes.....

'Is this for real!?' Thought Andrew, 'If we don't stop it, it will be real.'

The inner voice that came from Hyun Jung had deep sorrow, 'If you do not help me, that will become reality.' Then there was an awkward and heavy silence between Andrew and Hyun Jung. Hyun Jung broke the silence with the question,

'Now decide, my dear Knight. Would you stop the disaster or will you walk away?'

'Is this for real?' and instead of answering her straight away, asked Andrew, and Hyun Jung answered him very clearly; not in his head, but clearly in front of him.

"It is real, and this time you are one of the chosen knights to prevent such disaster from happening."

"But I am just a high school student..."

Hyun Jung smiled, "Well, you are no longer ordinary high school student, Soo Ho oppa." said Hyun Jung giving him the signal to look around his environment.

The people in cafe were not moving; were they playing dead? thought Andrew, and answered came from Hyun Jung.

"Nope, they are not playing dead, nor we are. You and I are just living the potential of one second to fullest. I have no idea how this happens, but it seems like this miracle happens when one makes a big decision. Just like how I became a seer... Anyways, Oppa, what are you going to do?"

"Well, I don't know what I can do to stop that." Answered Andrew looking at his hands, with uncertainty.

Hyun Jung smiled softly, "Well, if you really are not sure about it, how about we do this together? If it really isn't to your liking, I can make you forget about everything. I did that to several guys..."

"There were others?"

Hyun Jung sighed, but smiled followed. "Yup, but they decided not to help me... You are my 36th guy who I found as my potential Knight." Then she grinned, "But Soo Ho oppa, you are my first kiss."

Andrew blushed, turning his face away from Hyun Jung. "So-so ho-how ar-are we going to that sta-station?" Andrew couldn't speak properly; he couldn't get rid off the thought how soft her lips were and how warm it felt.

"No worries, hold my hand." Said Hyun Jung confidently, then as Andrew (Soo Ho) grabbed her hand, the surrounding started to become blurry.

When everything gained their shapes and sounds, they were in the train. Andrew recognized some of the passengers. 'They were...' thought Andrew, 'They are going to die, if we don't find 'Hate' soon' Hyun Jung said to him in his mind.

Andrew gulped, then shook his head, clenching his fist. He was stronger than that, he had taken care of school bullies before. The reason why he had quiet life was because he had taken care of the problems that would make his life hectic.

'This is no different.' thought Andrew; Hyun Jung still holding his hand, commented, 'Good to see that you are not a coward.'

It was then, Andrew could smell something rotten; something smelled like rotten fish, no, the smell of rotten fish would be a compliment to such smell. 'What is that smell?' He felt like his stomach was getting twisted; he felt he could throw it up in any moment.

'You can smell it? Where is it coming from?'

said Hyun Jung, 'From there!' Andrew said it, pointing out the massive crowds.

In that massive crowds, Andrew could see a girl; little girl with bag painted red as if blood was splatted on it. Even her face was disfigured so horribly, he didn't realize it was a girl until he saw the girl's clothing. Andrew looked around his surroundings, no one noticed it.

'Their true form could only be seen by us... poor girl, she lost her body to her hatred...' said Hyun Jung. Hyun Jung quickly embraced the girl, "You are not going to control body like this! I summoned the Gate of Infinite!"

Then, apart from Andrew, Hyun Jung and the little girl, everything banished. They were surrounded by the darkness.

The girl suddenly pushed Hyun Jung with incredible strength; Andrew caught Hyun Jung before she could fly too far.

"Ha ha ha ha ha! Foolish girl. You think you can stop me with your seer powers alone?" The disfigured girl said in laughter; no, the voice of the girl was not really like any girl's voice, it sounded more like 'it'. "And to make your life more miserable seer, the owner of this body no longer rests inside." It smirked, "No..no way....we...we were...we were too late?" said Hyun Jung in disbelief. "Anyways, time to crush you, Seer!" The monstrous girl rushed towards them.

"She's not alone! I am here, her knight!" Barked Andrew, stepping in front of the monster who had the body of dead girl. The monster jumped back, surprised by the sudden movement of the male figure.

"A Knight, huh? Ha, let's see what you can do, pup!" Soon the darkness quickly faded, and the several pillars were raised, reaching for the sky that looked like it had no limit. Underneath Andrew, Hyun Jung and the monster, marble-like platform spread its pattern all over the area.

As if such sight was common, the disfigured girl smirked and dashed to Andrew, who were stunned by the sudden appearance of the stage, but for some reason, Andrew senses were weirdly sharp and was able to see incoming attack. "Too Slow, bi***" said Andrew, dodging the incoming fist, then, without any hesitation, punched its face.

What had happened, Andrew couldn't believe it, he sent that little monster far. The little monster broke several pillars as it flew.

'Was that really me?' thought Andrew, "Soo Ho oppa!" Hyun Jung called his name, just barely making him realize that he had no time to think. The monster came back from such far distance with incredible speed.

"Die, You annoying Knight!"

With the great momentum, the little monster sent out flying kick to Andrew (Soo Ho); however, instead of blocking its attack, Andrew grabbed the incoming leg and span him back.

"You are outmatched!" said Andrew in confidence. However, he realized he had spoke too soon.

"Alright, pup. You are really going to die!" The little monster was no longer little, nor it had the shape of the little girl. It looked entirely different; what kind of monster was that? Was it a dragon?

The monster eyes glowed in yellowish light; flapping its enormous wings. It's every teeth was the size of Andrew. It growled, and spoke. "Your time is up, Knight!" The monster was several times bigger than Andrew; nothing came out from Andrew's mouth, was it the fear?

"Your time is up, Knight!"

The enormous monster did not get any slower, 'How can it do that?' moment of thought struck him; the monster was defying all the logic he knew in his world. In fact, what it looked like was outside of his world. The dragons he read or watched from television shows and books never looked vicious nor terrifying as it did, nor it looked so hideous as that monster. 'Wait, can it even be classified as dragon?' thought Andrew. Before he could even come to an answer for his answer, Hyun Jung panic voice interrupted him. 'Look out!' It was, unfortunately, too late and Andrew was bashed by the tail of the monster. Andrew's body started smashing into the pillars and when his body finally fall to the ground, he felt like his heart was going to fail him. It was slowing down.

'Is this really my end?' thought Andrew as he could see that his vision was getting blurry. The dark laughter started echoing, "Ha, Seer, you are now mine. I shall devour your soul and bring the disaster that my master wanted."

'Hyun Jung needs my help....' thought Andrew, then a voice intercepted. 'Don't. If you get another bash like that you won't make it alive.' It was Hyun Jung, 'It's alright. I am not the only seer in this world. They are others. We manage to delay it this much. When we come back to reality, there would be less death and you would be able to make it alive.' Andrew's head slowly turned towards where Hyun Jung was, the enormous monster was taking its time to approach her; like the cat loves to play with its food; Hyun Jung smiled towards Andrew, her lips moved gently, 'Go Ma Wo Yo' ('Thank you' in Korean, Semi former form)

Andrew's fist clutched, "I didn't do anything to deserve that yet!" and he managed to stood up. "Hmm?" The enormous creature looked at Andrew, who was barely standing. "No! You shouldn't!" Shouted Hyun Jung, the monster smirked towards Andrew. "Oh, you manage to survive? Interesting. I shall finish you definitely then!" The monster left Hyun Jung and rushed towards Andrew. Andrew smirked at his coming foe, "You are too noisy for your own good,"

Then unexpectedly his lips moved by it self.

"I am the knight that shines with darkness, I am the knight that wears your fear, I am the knight that shall bring your destruction. I am the knight that will bring the end of this war."

"Say what you like, weakling! It won't change the fact that-" The monster's arm was in the mid air as Andrew was done with his somewhat poetic statement.

Andrew was no longer just wearing ordinary clothing, "I am the Black Knight." Andrew was wearing entirely different attire; he was wearing full black armor, modernized with patterns. And on his right hand, he held giant blade covered in blood.

"Ah! Ahh! My arm! My arm!!" roared the monster in panic, "Be gone." said Andrew and his giant sword split the enormous monster into two without troubles.

Andrew, who had identified himself as black knight, walked towards Hyun Jung. "I.... I don't know what happened, but I called myself as black knight.... am I some kind of evil knight?" He asked worriedly, Hyun Jung wiped her tears quick and smiled back at him. "No, Soo Ho oppa, the color of your armor doesn't represent if you are good or evil. It's how you use your power that determines if you are evil or not."

Then all of the sudden, they were back to the their real world. The train was stopped and they were outside of it. One man was being lifted by others, a police officer, "I guess we prevented it successfully." said Hyun Jung. Andrew (Soo Ho) looked at her confused, "what just happened?" Hyun Jung smiled, "Well, check your phone. You will see."

Andrew looked into the news with his phone and his eyes were widened as he saw the title of the news. 'A Police Officer Manages to Disarm the Bomb'

"That is the result of our victory." Hyun Jung smiled, "If we had lost...well it would be entirely opposite of what we are seeing now."

"Entirely opposite?" Andrew (Soo Ho) asked, Hyun Jung smiled weakly. "The image you saw when you were reading my poem, that might have come true if we lost that fight."

The horrifying images came back to Andrew's memory; the images that appeared when he read the poem today. "Well, it good to see that it didn't come true." Andrew commented. Hyun Jung smiled, "Yup and it's thanks to you, Soo Ho oppa."

Andrew could feel that his face was becoming red as he saw Hyun Jung's smile; 'she's beautiful, isn't she?' And as she grabbed his hand, he thought his head was going to explode. "Come, Soo Ho oppa! Let's celebrate with more chocolate cakes!"

"Wha-what?" he voiced out his surprise, then he smiled. 'Weird' he thought, 'When she feels happy, I feel more alive...' May be he was falling for her? Then again he wasn't sure. But one thing was clear, he didn't want to see her cry; Andrew wanted to protect the smile of Hyun Jung, and he knew what he had to do. He was going to be her Knight and end this war, once and for all.

Leon never felt attracted to Asian girls; why should he? In his point of view, the white girls were prettier, had better sizes, better personality.... from Leon's perspective, white girls were way better than Asian girls. But, right now... He was falling for an Asian girl.

"Hey, Leon! You coming for my birthday party?"

A white girl, named Alice, interrupted his thoughts. Even though, he was irritated by sudden interruption, Leon smiled gently at the girl, "Yeah, sure. When is it?"

Alice smiled back, joyfully, "It's tonight!"

Then Leon's smile slowly faded away, and sighed heavily, "Ah....then I cannot make it... I have something to do tonight..."

Yes, Leon had something to do tonight. Something he had to do every Friday night. If he doesn't, he would have a nightmare for weeks. 'Wait? Had to?' thought Leon, and he shook his head; no, it became something he must do.

He had to hear her song; no, he must hear her song, or else he won't be able to sleep. The nightmare he had was simple, yet cruel to Leon. She was with another guy in his nightmare, looking happy, and something in his gut made him feel angry. It made him rage. Have he ever thought such way to other girls? The answer was no. Only her, that Asian girl, the forbidden girl, had something that he wanted. She made him addictive to her voice, to her looks, to her...lips.

Would he feel satisfied if he kissed her? Would that release him from this obsession? He was going to find it out in coming hours. He had suffered enough. It was the time for him to make a stand. 'Thana Ihara, I will give you a kiss you will never forget!' thought Leon.

Yes, Thana Ihara was the name of Asian girl that troubled Leon. Thana family was rich, and Thana, herself, was quite popular among boys and girls. However, some girls gave her a nickname, 'The Demon Child'. Why? According to those girls, Thana had a strong charm that could make everyone as her slave. Well, Leon didn't believe it at first, but the fact that he was falling for her, made him wonder. 'Did she use a spell on me?'

Well, Leon Crosswind was popular among the girls; he always knew how to make girl wants him and, especially, Asian girls were easiest. Then again, girls were always easy to manipulate to his liking. He probably was the best womanizer in his school. Then again, two girls never fall for his charm, Thana Ihara and Thana's twin sister. 'Wait, why can't I remember her name?' thought Leon. For some reason, every guys and including him, couldn't remember the twin's name.

In any case, that twin sister was not important; for Leon, only, Thana Ihara was very important. In his mind, he gave her the nickname as 'Forbidden Girl' as she was an Asian girl; a type that he never wish to be in romantic relationship. However, he was about to make an exception.

As the Sun waved his good bye, Leon went to the rooftop of his high school building. As if she made a promise to someone, there she was. Thana Ihara, the Asian girl that had charm that no other girls had. Thana cleared her voice, then she started to sing. No music was played, but as she sang, Leon could feel the rhythm of the music. He could actually hear the notes, the beat, he could even see the images that song carried with it.


The last sentence of the song gave Leon a goosebumps. An image of burning schools was depicted in his mind, as the image was so realistic that he felt like it was really going to happen.

But that became no longer important as Thana made her appearance in front of Leon. Thana looked surprise to find him there and her appearance surprised Leon.

"What are you doing here?" said Thana, her dark eyes met Leon's, Leon could feel his face turning red. He quickly turned his head, breaking the eye contact he had with Thana. "Oh....ummm..... nothing...... I heard a song..... so....so I was curious....." said Leon, 'stupid! that's not why you are here!' and thought Leon. "You heard me singing?" Thana stepped back, "You actually heard my voice?" Leon looked at her, confused, "What do you mean?" Thana sighed, and carefully lean her back to the rooftop's door. "I can't believe it..." Her eyes gazed at Leon, "Tell me the truth, Leon. Did you really hear my song?" Leon nodded, Thana's stared at him coldly, yet there was anger in that stare. "Did I do something wrong?" Leon asked carefully, and Thana snapped at him. "Your existence annoying!"

Leon could hear the world breaking apart, his heart shattering like fragile glass... However, his mind came back to earth, and his face turned red. It was not embarrassment that made his face red though, it was his anger. Leon came close to Thana, Thana's cold gaze followed his movement. Then all of the sudden, Leon's fist was launched to the right side of Thana's face and made a dent on the faultless door. "Hey, I know you think you are attractive and lovely, but do not get cocky. You are just like other girls who have pretty face." Leon shouted angrily.

However, Thana looked unfazed by Leon's shouting. She looked at him with her eyes as if she was reading his mind. "Don't you dare think about doing that to me, Leon." She said it calmly, and Leon's eyes were widen. 'Did she read my mind?' thought Leon as even though he was shouting at Thana, he couldn't help it but to think about kissing her. Leon moved away from her.

Then there was sudden chuckle; it was not from Thana nor it was Leon's. The two looked at the direction of where it came from. Thana and Leon spotted a girl who suddenly made her appearance, she was floating in mid air. Leon looked at Thana, to see if she was seeing this, and it was clear that Thana was looking at her too. She looked even more surprised than he was. Thana muttered, "Why are you here?" Leon looked at the girl who was floating in mid air again, the girl looked at their direction and smirked.

"Do you know what is different about this generation and last generation of invisible war?" The girl said cheerful manner and giggled. The girl's eyes shined brightly red and licked her lips with her tongue. "We, the hate, no longer need to listen to you." She grinned, her grinning gave a goosebumps to Leon.

"We do whatever we want and you are going to die today, Thana, the voice of forbidden."

"The voice of Forbidden?" Leon repeated what the girl said, and suddenly Thana grabbed his hand. "Come on! We have to get out from this place!" With incredible strength, Thana pulled him and soon they were rushing down the stairs.

"Yes, run! Run! Fast as you can, the voice of forbidden! It's going to be boring if you die without resisting your fate!"

The little girl laughed maniacally, Leon, as he ran with Thana, he asked. "What is that girl? Is she even a human?" Thana, leading the way, answered without any sign of tiredness. "Of course not! Would normal girl fly?"

Leon curled his lips, and opened them to bark back. But, before he could voice it out, they had to stop in the middle of their way as the girl made her appearance right in front of them. "Ha! I caught you! Just be devoured by me and you shall be free!" Said the girl, "Not in my watch!" Said Leon rushing ahead, "Idiot! You are no match for her!" Said Thana, but she was too late and Leon was already in the sky, and he gave a good kick to the girl, sending her off.

"Come on!" Said Leon. (to be continued)
