Genesis Crisis OOC XI

I don't dislike him. : o He was a spy at one point and I haven't forgotten that. I don't think he will try anything, but he was supposed to report on the Targaryens to begin with. Only to come to respect Dany, and choose to be by her side.

I like him enough, but not enough to make him a favorite character just yet. However, I did enjoy his jealousy over the freelancer and Dany. :P

Well yes, but you can't really blame him on that.

Yes, that was quite amusing. I think it was equal parts reasonable suspicion of a shady character and jealousy over a potential love interest. :P

I know, but it is still a blemish on his record. : o

Oh I know it was, but that's what makes it so delicious. You see him give that weighing look along with stare of you should watch what you do around her or else.

I'll be interested to see how that turns out. :P He had enough on his place with Barriston Selmy, but now this..

Oh yeah, what about Varys and Baelish? :0

I really dislike Baelish. Although I do like how manipulative Varys is. : o

I actually very much like Baelish. I can't help it. I like cunning types, and he's obviously a devious schemer and wants the Iron Throne, but he's smart enough to bide his time very patiently. That "Chaos is a Ladder" speech was rather brilliant, and it almost makes me feel like he could turn out to be a Big Bad. He's the type that I feel wouldn't hesitate to make a proverbial "deal with the devil" to get what he wants.

It's an interesting contrast to Varys, who is equally manipulative but wants perfect order, regardless of who brings it about or how. They really embody the Law and Chaos alignments quite well. But yeah, I like Varys a lot as well, since he's the only character I've seen who has no ambition of his own and just uses his skills to preserve the stability of the kingdom. He'd do all the wrong things, but for all the right reasons.

Well the speech itself I enjoyed, its iconic and eloquent. However as much as a schemer as he is he is also just a heartless bastard.

True, but he's an engaging one. I feel like he could almost be the big bad, allowing himself to be turned into a White Walker or something just to sow chaos and acquire the throne.

Oh, she was a total nutter. That whole breast-feeding thing with her like 8 year old son was beyond creepy.

Possibly. Its hard to tell what he will do to be perfectly honest. I doubt he would want to lose any of his humanity for it. He kind of feels like the kind of man who would want to drink in the chaos he has created. Just making that assumption from what I've seen from his betrayal on Ned. I feel like he is biding his time in Westeros for Dany's arrival and looking to see what chaos he can bring from that.

But Dany's arrival would definitely mean his window of opportunity for claiming the throne would be lost. He wants chaos, but that's only to reach his end - and that's the power and respect he feels he's always deserved.

I doubt they will. They weren't exactly impactful characters, and they've basically locked themselves up in the Eyrie. I doubt anyone will bother with them while everything else is going on.

Dany could be the chaos he needs to take the throne however. I mean when Westeros sees dragons, there will be lots of panic. The people will look for a competent leader in this situation. He fancies himself this person. : o

But he's too smart to put himself in as hopeless a situation as facing off against dragons, unless he hopes they and the White Walkers will end up killing each other off.
