I don't mind some of the font being blue (like that stuff under who's online), but the font for normal posts should be black.

Just do black. If the background is going to be a darker grey for your delicate eyes, then we need the font to be bold and dark to stand out.

not sure about the blue background, especially with how flat the inner background is now, but the grey for the font works

I just switched that cause the grey seemed so dismal, but I have no intention of keeping that blue background.

The buttons need a little tweaking, but that color works now too.

I don't like the pattern, and the shade isn't right. If it's going to be blue, it should match the blue of the banner. Otherwise, I'd say something more like black.

It wouldn't look right f it was the same shade as the banner's blue. Otherwise, yes, the pattern needs to be edited.
