Well, he is psychology in training, no? Psychologist are meant to train not judge by people's first impression because 'Psychologists' are trained and learned first impression is something that could mislead about the people

Alright Spirit, I have put 'N' with your character because your character has psychology training, not because of other reasons.

So either your character be a psychologist, who you said supposed to be smart, meaning he knows what he is studying, or be a guy who judges people by first impression

He's an apprentice for a reason~

They stuck him in there so he learns better. Dealing with N should actually help his get past his stubborn stupidity. Which, again, is why it might take slightly longer xD

Next he's gonna head to work and get chewed out by his boss when he asks about it.

Then perhaps he can swallow his pride and try being nicer.

I swear I almost regret making his personality like this xD

I made him and even I find him annoying, kinda feel sorry for N.

He's very much likely to mess up again, hit him over the head for me next time. Also, he probably just likes his psuedo-sword.

I'm thinking of summoning a serpent creature but some lore say its water element  
others that it's just land and "monster" class :/

Anyways I'll post the picture and you can go from there. Making it either water or land or pure chaos. 
At least the image that I chose looks more chaos Serpent themed  
 Also with poison(breath/scent/external-body-fluid(slimy skin)) and acid attacks among other "mythical" features [according to different Wiki and other pages lore]

Just name one, and i will do the rest
