Oh, to clarify, those come in different sizes. The piece he has is almost as thick as his arm.

He's smart, just not very good at communicating.

I have a feeling he is going to have hard time with his dragon too

Sorry had to go get food and utilities for the office....

Dropped the food then went to a different shop to get the rest of the supplies ...

came back and realized I forgot one item... not going back again

and lol he's not completely deaf just can't hear very well (old man syndrome kind of thing)

Just that he is trained enough to not subconsciously raise his own voice when talking to others D:


And from my next update, you'll know that he can lip read... just not at an expert level but a beginner  



The Cybernetic Implants installed in him by his parents (well they paid for it)  cured him but at the cost of "changing" his psyche as he continued to use it over the years. It's like some drug that effects the user's mind and body.

He's never thought it could be the dragon because he still thinks it was just a game. So his mind automatically dismissed such a possibility subconsciously.

He then proceeds to speculate about ghosts and aliens....

That said, he can read people pretty well when he's calm. He's not an apprentice psychologist for nothing.

Psychology doesn't mean you can "Read" people and people who cannot communicate well cannot "Read" people well

Especially when you are an apprentice you have 99% misunderstanding people's intention

Coming from a guy who study psychology, so yeah, your understanding of psychology pretty much based on "pop" idea of psychology

in any case, it doesn't matter

Read =/= mind reading

It means guaging their mood from their demeanor, reactions, tone, expressions, etc.

Well he's not going to suddenly be all "I know exactly what you think and feel, mwahahahahahaaa!". He technically got the game so he could improve those skills in the first place.

Maybe by the end he'll be a legit mind reader

His main selling point right now is being way too confident he can best any humans. Sure he could best *normal* people in the *real* world, but those in game are a different story.....
