| Prologue- Spoiler:
London - March 17th, 1872
The Ace of Cups…
How fitting…
The lone figure in the room caressed the edges of the card with his fingertips, silently contemplating its meaning.
Yes. It was time for some practical testing. His research had already produced what appeared to be a perfect homunculus, at least by the standards of the notes he was working from. Until it was tested, there would be no way of knowing whether or not it was flawed.
With a slow smile spreading across his face, the figure stood and made his way to the trapdoor across the room. As it was lifted, another figure was revealed, pale and silent. A curtain of dark hair fell over one of its eyes, but the other locked onto the first figure, or more importantly, the knife in his hand.
At a word, the pale figure raised a hand to its master, and the knife flashed through the air, slicing into its middle finger. There was no flinch, not even a blink. Pain didn’t seem to register at all as the man standing over it patiently waited for the blood to cover the entire blade.
As soon as the point was withdrawn, the wound began to close, the flow of blood coming to a halt. It truly was perfect…
Closing the trapdoor once more, the first figure quickly stepped back to the table. With a piece of chalk, he sketched the lines of a circle, then three triangles, followed by an insignia. Chuckling softly, he slipped the card on the table into the center of the diagram. It had been the conduit for this experiment. So, it only seemed fitting…
With a flash, the knife pierced the center of the card, driving into the table just beneath where the insignia was drawn. For a moment, there was only silence… And then, every candle in the room died instantly, just as the figure beneath the trapdoor let out a blood curdling scream.

Description: Lily is a stubborn and hard-working young lady. She doesn't begrudge her lot in life History: Lily came from a respectable business-class family in London. When she was only 8, she lost both her parents and her home in a tragic fire. She and her older brother were separated. As they had no relatives with which to live, both were to be assigned to the orphanages. However, their respectable upbringings spared them from this. Lily was taken in by the Cormiers, an aristocratic family from France that had immigrated to London, to be both a maid and friend to their only child, Delphine. The two girls grew up together and became good friends, with Lily teaching Delphine to speak English while Delphine imparted all the grace and benefits of an aristocratic home. Lily worked hard, both in gratitude for the Cormier's treatment, as well as an inherent desire to do things to the best of her ability. Name: Elizabeth "Crimson Mistress" Hemory Age: 24 Appearance: - Spoiler:
Typical Elizabeth - Spoiler:
Courteous Elizabeth - Spoiler:
Angry Elizabeth - Spoiler:
Battle Elizabeth - Spoiler:
Depressed Elizabeth - Spoiler:
Description: Elizabeth is a rather interesting individual, she has traits that many would consider to be of a noblewoman such as her taste in clothing, her courteous nature and her rather sadistic stance towards others, but at the same time holds many traits found in common folk, such as her rather simple and humble speach and most important her view of equality towards others, a trait rarely found, she will speak with anyone as if they were her equal. She is a very emotional person who is easily troubled by other people's and her own problems, although she tries to hide it. History: - Spoiler:
Father's Research Logs - Spoiler:
Research Log #1 - Quote :
- As much as I try to convince my colleages that this was the answer to finding the path that all should seek, blinded by fear and the hipocracy of their beliefs, they reject my idea and refuse to provide me with the resources I require. As such I am lead to first focus on longevity rather than results. For if I find it difficult to survive in this community terrified by the church, would my heir not find it unbearable to not simply surrender all my hard work to those wreched bastards?
Research Log #2 - Quote :
- I have grown used to hiding, they hunt me down as if I was a monster of the moon, but I persevered, those who I once called colleages have long past and been substituted by their heirs while I stand as though not a single day had passed.
Research Log #3 - Quote :
- Most intriguing, while in the process of filtering the blood of a common whore that I had found, I discovered peculiar traits in that blood both possitive and negative that could be most useful if I found a way to use said traits to my advantage. While I certainly see no practical use towards reading the beginning, I can certainly see it's use in protecting me research.
Research Log #6 - Quote :
- It seems that there are methods to use blood in an destructive way. By taking advantage of the iron in one's blood, it becomes possible to harden a body or weaken it by both concentrating and dispersing them. Further tests must be conducted, I have taken a couple of whores to use for my experiments. But I must be carefull, it seems people have taken notice of me and are trying to track me. I must use these women most sparringly.
Research Log #9 - Quote :
- Strange, as time progress I feel more and more behind, it seems that there are limits to how much one can sustain oneself through filtering blood. Isolation seems to take it's toll and my mind is not what it used to be. I can no longer remember why I research this magecraft and the only way I seem capable of remembering is by looking back at these notes... Why do I even write these?
Research Log #30 - Quote :
- Crap, only one whore is left, last died while I tested how much blood I could take out before it became lethal. The search has become more active against me, I can't even show my face anymore, which means I'm stuck with a that lone whore to further my experiments... Ah, perharps it's about time I retire. Looking back, it seems my actions have become most chaotic and I can no longer think right.
Research Log #Last - Quote :
- I have decided, I will use the whore as a vessel for my heir. I will brainwash her to believe it to some random costumer's child but she will be compeled to take care of it. She will have my fortune as means to survive, while I do not care what she does with her body, I must be certain that my heir gets every chance to continue my research. Finally, I will transfer my blood to my heir, killing me in the process but making sure that my research continues.
Elizabeth's Diary - Spoiler:
Diary #1
I write this not as a research log but rather as a re-collection of my thoughts. A diary if you will, so that I may look back in times of great confusion such as these. My name is Elizabeth Hemory, daughter of Jonathan Hemory and Roxana. Since I was a child, only 5 years old I have been given strict instructions from my mother to pick up my father's work, a complicated idea at the time, but now I understand where it came from. I cannot explain what drove to do it, but I studied endlessly with hope to understand one day what I was reading. Magecraft, who knew magic existed.
That said my life wasn't easy, although my mother seemed to care about me and we had no economical problem, she kept on inviting people inside for less appropriate reasons. Many times I walked in on her work with a random individual, sometimes nameless other times of more respectful status. At first it was troublesome, but eventually I just accepted it, she wasn't going to change her lifestyle and she was careful to warn me before hand of when these activities might occur. Ah, this isn't to say I hate her, I still love her regardless if she's a public woman or not.
As for why did I start to write this? Mother told me that upon my 18th birthday that she would give me a box that belonged to my father... Let's just say the experience of opening the box was most traumatic. I expected more boring papers about his research, secrets that he could only trust a matured mind to understand, but no. What I found was blood, so much blood that I was almost drowned in it. Never before had I felt such pain, even as I write I can feel the blood rushing under my skin changing me, molding me into whatever sick experiment my father planned for.
I will rest now, my mind and body are most strained from this pain, perhaps I'll ask my mother for something to knock me out for the day.
Diary #2
Know that as I write this I feel most disgusted about the current situation, never before have I felt so much hatred and guilt that I would kneel and cry in from of Mother begging her to forgive me. I feel like I want to set the whole house on fire in an attempt to erase the knowledge I had learned. For how could I be a spawn of such a demented thing?
Perhaps it's best if I explain, after having had a long rest from the previous incident, I woke up today with sense of alienation. Knowledge which I never had, suddenly was there as if I had always known about them. To prove this situation, I found a series of logs from my... From my father, I had no idea they even existed much less where they were hidden, and yet I found them most naturally. It was then that I learned the truth of my father's research and my own birth.
Oh why? Why did I have to know of this? I would have rather been played as a fool and been driven to believe that I had free will, instead of knowing my origin and why I'm even here to begin with. Even as I write this, I have no idea if this my own free will or my father's twisted play.
Regardless, I must continue the study, I refuse to lower myself to my father and use such disgusting methods, if am to test on anyone than it will be on myself before anyone else! I just hope that whatever was affecting my father in his finals logs, does not begin to affect me.
Diary #3
Today my mother decided to leave the house to meet one of her employers. I asked her to rethink this and that it would be best if she had whoever the man was walk to our house instead of the other way around. I reminded her off what she knew full well, the killer that stalked the nights preying on women such as herself. But my mother is confident, and I felt no right in objecting her after what I had learned. As such I merely wished her a safe return.
Now moving on to my findings. The experiments have been going slow as I have little heart to continue despite this impulse to commit to them. That said it seems my father was blinded in his own ego and could not see the reality of the situation. After a few experiment I have discovered a few things which he dismissed for some unknown reason. First, majority of my current blood is pure poison, although our body require blood to survive it seems my father neglected to realize that to much being pumped into one's brain could cause severe damage, there is also the problem of the density of blood, right now I have 550 liters of blood inside of me, that is over what 100 of me should have! Despite this absurd number I do not feel any heavier than I felt the day before the incident, I can only assume that my father did something with magecraft. However this comes in a consequence, because of the density of the blood, the amount of iron, oxygen among other properties are off the roots.
To put it in simple words, my father's health decline came from his body containing more than what it could, and he has damned me to the same fate as his. Right now I have no negative effects, but as time progresses I am sure that my body will begin to break.
To combat this ticking bomb inside of me I have doubled the efforts in the research, although for the lack of better judgment I will pass through the hospital at night, I do not wish to see anyone die but giving use to a corpse should be fine, right?... Right?
Diary #4
Today I write with new founded hope, I have found that the use of other bodies, although while not giving most results, still display the most observable. Mind you that these are corpses and as such the results would likely be quite different if used on a living being. However if nothing else I was able to calculate a system that would allow me to store this excessive blood that I contain into the corpses I brought without deteriorating the blood. The bodies on the other hand would have to be changed every few years, hopefully the hospital will continue to be generous in the future.
That solves my problem of time, but doesn't fix the problem itself. My body is already affected and will break eventually, I merely extended the amount of time I had left. This should provide me with enough time to find a cure for my condition.
On another note, my mother as not returned today. I will be leaving tonight in search of her, I hope that she is fine.
Diary #5
I question now who wrote these entries, if me or my father? It is amazing to read my evolution in less than a week's span.
It's been two days since the last entry, after leaving the house to look for... to look for my mother. What I imagined to be a tearful reunion, turned into a sick chaos that even now marks my mind. Who could have done that? Not even my father, who I viewed as a demon, did nothing comparable to the chaos I witnessed. What did my mother do to deserve this?
I remember kneeling down and vomiting on the floor at the site of what was left of my mother. I cried so much, the need to hold onto something crushed by the fear of destroying whatever was left with a mere touch. MY MOTHER DID NOT DESERVE THIS!
After an hour of sobbing, I picked myself up and took what was left of her with me. I would not allow anyone to see her in that state, I would give her a proper burial. As I walked home anger began to boil inside me, the desire to find the monster who did this and dismantle him to bits, this would be someone I not only would not mind experiment on, I would enjoy every moment of it.
Upon arriving home a placed my mother in the basement to be taken care off later, there was something I need to do. I went to my room and cried myself to sleep.
The next day went pretty uneventful, I continued to sob for half of the day until I felt my eyes to dry to shed any other tear. The other half was spent reflecting on current events.
This is unfair, I miss the times when magecraft was hobby not an obligation. The times when I would be embarrassed for walking into mother. The times when I respected my father...
I don't want a cure, I don't want happiness, I just want to be free from this cage of misery.
After These Events - Spoiler:
In the past 6 years Elizabeth has become rather active in her social life, left in alone she gathered her thoughts and began to find some social stability where she could hold herself, but she had a problem that she could not avoid, she was the daughter of a whore and no mater how much money she had, she would be looked and treated as another whore by the aristocracy. This led her to find the Magus Associating for backup, hoping that they would ignore her backstory so long as she presented them results. Although hard, after a lot of dealing she was able to get the support she needed. From here on it went pretty simple, once she had support she was able to rise herself in status regardless of how much the regular aristocracy disliked her. As if to create more spite towards them, she began to visit orphanages and look through the streets for people she saw potential in. She picked up both males and females and trained them to be servants, maids and butlers, but went a mile further and provided them with education so that they could both read and write.
This strange behavior of her came from a sense of loneliness, alone with neither a father or a mother and with the constant pressure from higher society, she felt she needed people close to her that she could relate with to maintain her emotions in check. So she looked for orphans who she believed would understand her and the other way around. Never ask her if it went as planned, she'll probably go in to a fit of rage at the despair the children and young adults caused her. But regardless of all the difficulty she treats them and considers them all her children and she has gained their trust.
Right now she is looking for a suitable partner to be her husband, but is finding it difficult to find anyone that even dares look at her. Due to her backstory and recent absurd actions many men have felt intimidated by her mere gaze and she has gained the nickname of "Crimson Mistress". Her maids and butlers know that she is a magus and have altered the nickname to "Crimson Witch" much to her displeasure.
Status: Magus Origin: Tenacity Attribute(s): Blood(Modify) Weapon(s): Nothing Mystic Code(s): - Spoiler:
Elizabeth Mansion Type: Amplifier Appearance: - Spoiler:
Effect: While many magus set up their homes as impenetrable fortresses laired with traps for those unfortunate enough to get in. Elizabeth's home is much more sinister in design, it is a welcoming building that offers little resistance to those who enter it, but is in reality a giant amplifier to Elizabeth's magecraft. While inside it Elizabeth's magecraft increases in rank, destructiveness and range. She could kill someone from one side of the house to another without difficulty. The core of the mansion resides in the basement where the blood containers Elizabeth keeps are hidden. It is a Mystic Code that almost mimics the human body, the mansion being it's body and Elizabeth's magecraft being it's imunity system, as such one could say that the mansion itself is a living organism.
Skills: - Spoiler:
Positive Traits:
Minimal Immortality: Has decent regeneration that makes fatal wounds irrelevant, even destroying the heart will not kill her as thanks to her magecraft the heart is mostly a secondary organ. Only known sure ways to kill her is by destroying the brain or attacking the soul. Physical Prowess: Her body is at the peak of it's age, most man would be envious to have her prowess. Health Security: Her body has high resistance to alien substances, making her highly resistant to poisons, diseases and infections.
Negative Traits:
Poison Blood: While she is resistant to alien substances, she is not to her own blood, her blood is so dense that it becomes poisonous even to herself, making her a ticking bomb until her body finally breaks under the constant pressure. Over-heat: The dense blood brings another problem of being difficult to cool down. Constant use of her magecraft will take a toll on her body and she require to keep herself hydrated. Must take a bath of cold water at least once per day to keep her body from shutting down from it's own heat.(PS: She can't beat a fire magus.)
Magecraft: - Spoiler:
Blood Magecraft: Taking into account that blood is the essence of life, it's a magecraft that attempts to research blood to reach the beginning of all things, The Root. There are various ramifications that this Magecraft takes. Immortality; According to the research papers, it is possible to become Immortal through the filtering and purification of blood and absorbing it into the body. Trait Master; It is possible to gain specific traits that are both positive and negative. Iron Blood; It is possible to manipulate the blood and harden it to be used as tools.
Prometheus Misery Type: Blood Speed: Single-Action Chant: - Rank: C Range: 1-10 Effect: Blood is solidified into an hardened substance that is control on whim. Although it can take many shapes, due to Elizabeth taste it ends up taking the form of chains by default.

Rank: C Range: 30 Effect: Releases blood from her system in the form of a thick redish fog that due to it's concentrated levels of iron and oxygen are toxic to others. This is not a magical attack, but rather a biological attack.
Bathory Iron Maiden: Type: Blood Speed: Four Verse Chant: It revels against the leash. But the grip is unrelenting. In malice the doors welcome the unfortunate. And in despair they seal the thread of fate. Rank: B Range: 10 Effect: Creates an Iron Maiden that pulls the target in before closing and ending it's victim's life.
Base of Operations: Elizabeth's mansion.

| Elysia Edrington - approved Notes: Are you going to have her mistress be a factor in the RP at all?
Henry Jekyll - approved Notes: I suspect that Fabian's Cage is actually a three Verse, since you posted a chant, but you have it listed as a single-action.
Edward O'Neal - approved Notes: You didn't name the second Mystic Code, and I assume he probably does have some kind of weapons.
Elizabeth Hemory - approved Notes: Creepy and probably bi-polar... I like the concept behind the mystic code.

| William Marshall - Spoiler:
Name: William Marshall Age: 21 Appearance: - Spoiler:
Description: William is the more noble of Duke Marshall’s two sons, although he has always lived in the shadow of his brother’s excellence. With no claim to the family’s title, William must make his own name for himself, and that makes him resent nobles that look down on the common folk. He is quick to offer aid to those in need, but once his trust is lost, it is rarely given a second time. History: William was born the second of three children, three years after his brother and seven years before his sister. The legacy of the Marshall family, like many other noble families, always fell upon the eldest son. When his brother, Maxwell, was old enough to understand that, the dynamic shifted between them. Maxwell was given preferential treatment in all his lessons, and William struggled to keep up. His brother seemed perfect in every aspect, save one. With the birth of his younger sister, Cynthia, William discovered that his brother might have an excellent military and business mind, but he clearly lacked a heart. As he continued his lessons and studies, William also took on the role of his sister’s secondary caretaker, keeping her from tumbling down the stairs or getting caught in the rose bushes outside the manor. Unlikely as it may seem, it was his sister, not his brother that pushed William to become a stronger person. He never quite got over needing to prove himself though... Status: Youngest son of the Duke Marshall. Origin: Dauntlessness Attributes: Light, Darkness Weapon: A rapier. Mystic Code: none Skills: Advanced swordplay techniques and tactical thinking. Magecraft: - Spoiler:
Glimmer Shroud Type: Light Speed: One Verse Chant: The light be my veil. Rank: D Range: 2 meters Creates a mobile bounded field around the caster, which allows him to freely manipulate the reflection and refraction of light within. Provided with a steady source of light, the caster can freely change the visible appearance and transparency of anything within.
Radiance Type: Light Speed: Single-Action Chant: - Rank: E Range: - Creates a harsh and blinding light that envelopes at least some portion of the caster's body.
Balefire Type: Light Speed: Eight Verse Chant: Reflect, reflect, reflect and build. Gather now in the palm of my hand. Novas, stars, the sun above. Boil the sea, and burn the land. Heating, scorching, fire of light. Shadows run and darkness flees. Panic, run, all for naught. Burn the land, and boil the seas. Rank: S Range: 50 meters Sunlight is concaved into the palm of the caster's hand, growing white hot as it reflects inward upon itself, completely eliminating any hints of darkness within it. Once released from this state, it sears forward in a beam that rivals the heat of the sun itself. Anything along its path for the full length of 50 meters is vaporized instantly.
Dark Garden Type: Shadow Speed: Four Verse Chant: Sown in dark of darkest night. Now they grow, piercing the light. Seeds of shadow, now take root. Stretch your branches, bear your fruit. Rank: C Range: 35 meters All shadows within a 10 meter radius of the spell's target twist inward like a tangle of thorns. Anything other than the target passes through the shadows as if they weren't there, but to the target, they are completely solid.
Shadow Grasp Type: Shadow Speed: Single-Action Chant: - Rank: D Range: 15 meters A dark arm extends from a source of shadow. This arm is solid and has the same strength and speed of the caster’s own arms. It is controlled as if it were an extra appendage, and up to four of them can be maintained at a given point in time.

Name: Elliot Swann
Age: 23
Appearance: 5ft 11, slim build. Elliot has short dark brown hair. His green eyes are framed by a pair of glasses.
Description: Elliot is a quiet individual who often prefers the company of books over people.
History: As the youngest of three children, Elliot quickly developed a quiet personality, owing to his very vocal brother Jonathan. From a young age, he would hide himself within the library owned and maintained by his parents and enjoy the peace that came from reading a good book. Tuition by their parents quickly developed the three children’s abilities, supplemented by a wealth of information contained within the library.
When Elliot was 17, his sister, Eleanora, was murdered returning home one night, causing Jonathan to break down. He relentlessly pursued the murderer for several before managing to corner him, brutally murdering him with magic. He was swiftly incarcerated in an asylum, having long lost his mind.
Elliot reacted differently to his sister’s death. He became even more introverted than before, and would spend days at a time locked inside the library, searching for a way to bring his sister back. Eventually, after 6 years, he stumbled across a concealed study in the family library hidden by a false bookshelf- inside he found a number of texts speaking of a ‘Holy Grail War’, with the victor being granted any wish of theirs. It appeared that Elliot had found his way of reviving his sister…

| yeah that's why I suggested that Assassin (NPC/controlled by GM Illya) shall be paired with your Character. (You did make your sheet as a Master right?) The Character appears to be a quiet one, so I guess there won't be much needed for conversations XD... unless Assassin attempts to change his Master's thinking, way of life.. if it bothers too. | |

| Hey all, I'd like to enter this too! I've been talking to Payne just to make sure I had the basic ideas correct since it's the first Fate RP I've done, and he gave me the go-ahead to post these characters here: - First Character:
Name: Henry Morlas Age: 28 - Appearance:
Scruffy is the easiest way to describe him, he looks like he hasn’t had a decent night’s sleep for days. However, by far the easiest thing to spot about him is his muscles; for an average guy, the guys has got a pretty intimidating build to him, looking more like a prized fighter than a blue-collared workman. There’s a few scars on his hands and arms, nothing too bad or deep, but particularly pleasant to look at. His head is handsome in it’s own way; he won’t be winning any beauty contests, but he’s passable. Has (again) scruffy black hair, brown eyes, no blemishes, and his face usually rests on a stony frown.
- Description and History:
Henry spent most of his live living the live of the average man in Victorian England; wake, work, sleep. Not a hard live by any means, but hardly interesting. After all, where in the world could you go as a butcher? Certainly not far when you’ve been stuck there for the last 28 years. 'Morlas Butchers' has stood the test of time for two generations, and when his father became too ill to work the responsibility to carry on fell on Henry. Day in, day out, it was the same thing. Buy meat, sell meat, process meat, move meat… it was the drip, drip, drip of daily live that wore down on the man. There was only so much he could take! At one point he began to hallucinate seeing the damn substance everywhere… But he kept at it, deciding it was best for now to keep making some money before retiring.
While he'll probably be never known as one of the world's greatest mages, he's no stranger to the mystic arts. His family practiced it; it’d been right up there with learning how to drain a pig of blood in importance. They weren’t bad at it either, the only thing holding most of them back was ambition (and in the case of Henry, not really knowing where to start with using it). And of course, the sheer amount of animals they went through serving the public meant they had more than enough blood to study and analyse blood magic, the area all of them specialized in. True, some saw it as an evil art, for those willing to cross the line, but Henry always found that silly. He wasn't into gore or hurting people, why would he be? That was just mean. Nor was he was some sort of psychopathic madman who kidnapped people and drained their blood for his own ends. Hell, at most he'd drained a whole pig, and that was after it'd died!
Still, it wasn't really the most polite magic to talk about in conversation, so Henry mostly kept it to himself. Still, he was confident in his abilities, and even if his dreary job prevented him from doing much with his life at the moment, he was sure he'd get away from it eventually. Status: Meat butcher. Pretty good one too, give him a knife and he’ll cut your pig’s leg however you want. Attributes: Life, Blood Weapons: Carving Knife Mystic Code(s)/ Origin: (sorry, wasn’t sure what these were!) - Skills:
Pretty damn strong, due to his more physically demanding job. His library gives him access to a lot of knowledge on magic, though obviously, he has neither read all of them nor can he access them outside the house. So he has a firm base on magical matters, but areas outside of blood related magic that are more specialised he’ll have to look at in his books. Due to constant practising with blood from an early age, immune to any blood related magic. Not particularly agile however, and no real magic defences. Plus, he doesn’t have nearly the wealth of some of the other Masters.
- Magecraft:
- Familiar Summon:
Name: Familiar Summon Type: Blood (darkness?) Speed: Single Action Chant: (if applicable) Rank: C Range: 2 Effect: Pouring a vile of blood onto the floor and calling the chant summons the monster that gave the blood. This monster is then allied to Henry, and will do what he says. This does allow there to be too of the same animal. For example, if Henry cut a dog’s leg and let the blood hit the floor, he could theoretically summon a clone of the first dog. The summoned animal is stuck in a frenzied state however, and if left to their own devices will attack the nearest person. Naturally the bigger the animal the more blood needed. Doesn’t work on Servants for obvious reasons.
- Corrosive Blood:
Name: Corrosive Blood Type: Blood Speed: Single action Chant: N/A Rank: C Range: However far Henry can throw Effect: Henry throws a vile of blood at a foe. If it hits, it works like highly acidic acid, and starts burning through their clothes and skin. Affects magical armour as well as on weaponry.
- Knowledge Transfer:
Name: Knowledge Transfer Type: Blood (darkness?) Speed: Four verses Chant: {have not thought of one yet, but can do so if needed!} Rank: B Range: 5 Effect: Given enough time with a body (since those four verses to the spell means he ain’t gonna be doing this in the middle of battle!) he or his Servant has killed, Henry can gain the knowledge and some of their powers. So, he would have access to their memories of the last few days, be able to do things he could not before. However, this can only be done on a body dead than less than a day. Any further than that, and the soul has departed. Not a move Henry really wants to do much, since it involves drinking part of their blood to complete the spell. He may be a user of the dark arts, but he isn’t a psychopath!
- Raising the Dead:
Name: Raising the Dead Type: Blood (darkness?) Speed: Two verses Chant: {will work on!} Rank: A Range: 5 Effect: With the dead body of the target, Henry can invoke the dark powers to call back them back. Looks like them too, the risen body will be just like their normal selves! …Well, bar the blood pouring from their fingers. Henry can influence how they come back to an extent; if he wants them insane, they won’t be able to think properly (think, Berserker like functionality). If he wants them to obey him, they shall think he’s their leader (they aren’t 100% loyal though, so they could leave him if he disrespected them enough) and so on. Target should be able to think, act, behave like they do normally before they died. However, due to the blood leaking from their hands, they only really have around three days before they collapse from blood loss.
Base of location: His house and workplace, 'Morias Butchers'. - Second Character:
Name: Elaina Clemency Age: 34 - Appearance:
Smartly dressed, wearing the standard Victorian woman’s clothes; a prim blue dress which covers her from shoulder to ankle, black laced books with two inch heel steps, a silver necklace (with a small 2d metal flower in the middle) and a darker blue bonnet. Her long red hair is done up in a bun, allowing all to see her rather exquisite face. There is undeniable beauty there; the full cherry red lips, the crystal blue eyes, the seemingly constant blushing cheeks. However, there seems to be a certain... coldness surrounding her. Like all the fun was sucked out of wherever she was, all the joy gone from around her. This feeling isn’t really helped by her constant smile; or rather, devilish smirk, which she wears pretty much constantly.
- History and Description:
Ah, the Victorian era, the time when the British truly were great. The sun would never set on the British Empire, every day more and more people came to London to visit or work there! And that meant for Elaina, there were more and more people to exploit each day!
For Clemency owned several major workhouses in the area, and despite her name she was anything but merciful. Standards for living there were horrible. Any workhouse had more than its fair share of deaths, but under her iron first the amounts of people killed for her were ludicrous! Each one had it’s own mortuary, and each one was near constantly filled. Clemency wasn’t trying to kill people obviously, oh no; people just had a habit of doing things wrong around her. Like deciding to crawl under active pressing machines, or putting their hand just a little bit too near a saw’s edge… No-one ever tried to complain; what would they say? It was well known even talking to Elaina was a bad move, she had a tendency to scream and throw things at you. Most just kept their heads down, earning their meager paycheck, and hoping they wouldn’t decide to do something stupid.
Despite the mass deaths, Clemency’s workshops kept on making more and more money, enough for her to retire several times over. And for Elaina, that was all that mattered. After all, who cared what happened to the poor? She didn’t. Whatever her powers did to her was no concern of her. As long as she made money, that was all that important.
Elaina had worked out she was ‘different’ from most children early on. Bad things happened to the others when she played with them. They decided to try to climb up bookshelves and fall, or swallow handfuls of dirt, or attack their dogs… all, stupid, foolish, moronic ideas. Nothing she would ever do, anyway.
For Elaina had an aura of disaster around her, and when she learned to weaponise it she was unstoppable. Annoying woman trying to impress the man she fancied? She decides it’s a good plan to walk into the nearest lake at night. Man thinks she can’t run a company on her own? He thinks he’s immune to poison and drinks some. A rival company starts off? The owner wants to give her sole possession for a pound. Within a few years her series of workhouses were flourishing, and she was rolling in money. And she didn’t even have to do anything! She was free to pursue the magical arts, free to learn all there was, free to do whatever she wanted! Nothing had, and nothing would, ever stop her from doing what she wanted.
Status: Upper class, affluent owner of several workhouses dotted around London Attribute(s): Luck, money Weapon(s): A small dagger, hidden in the back of her corset, and a two-shot pistol she keeps with her. The parasol she sometimes carries around has a metal spike on the end. Though of course, being a parasol, this is easily destroyable. Mystic Code(s)/ Origin: N/A - Skills:
Unluckiness field: A passive field of around twenty feet (or the insides of a building she owns which she is currently in, hence the death rates in her workhouses) which dulls people’s rationally skills to the point of losing the idea of self-perseveration. The effect is not immediate, so the target has to be in her field for a while before it really starts to affect them. She can also target a specific person near her to increase the speed in which the field effects them, at the cost of it only affecting them for the time being. Upon leaving Elaina’s side, the effect takes about three days to wear off.
The Wonders of Affluence: Elian (completely incorrectly) considers herself to be the richest person in the world, and it shows in her fighting; the bigger the gap in wealth between her (or her Servant) and her foe, the stronger her attacks.
- Magecraft:
Due to her powerful skills, Elaina does not know many magic spells. However, she is not completely defenceless, having studied several types of magic (though mastering precisely none) - Elemental Ball:
Name: {Element called} Ball Type: Varies Speed: Single Action Chant: [will come up with!] Rank: B Range: 40 meters Effect: Eliana choose a type of element in her head, and hurls a football sized ball of energy at her target. The ball has the properties of the thought of magic; if she thinks of fire the ball will burst into flames upon contact of something, electricity will electrocute anyone it touches etc.
- Copy:
Name: Spell of Copying Type: Material Speed: Single Action Chant: [] Rank: C Range: Touch Effect: Eliana touches an object and focuses. If it’s not too big, a copy of the item appears next to the original. Only works on non-living things; trying it on animals merely results in nothing happening, or a dead copy of the animal appearing next to it. Doing this too much gives Eliana migraines however, so she can’t get too crazy with this.
Base of operations: Her series of workhouses. No set HQ, usually using the nearest one available.
Hope they're not too bad! Since they're the only one left, I think that leaves me with Rider. Like I said, I've never done a Fate RP before, but I have done a few RPs before in the past. Hopefully I'm not too rusty!
