@Nex: Is the Player's spell choice linked with it's dragon's element?
Or one can chose whatever element spell if they so wish?

You mentioned that at least the healing part is draining life force from the contracted dragon... so are the magic casting the same or that is based on the player's own mana pool/capacity and that grows as they keep using them (ie: gaining experience and leveling up)?

Also if one does use the same element as their dragon (if magic casting is linked to their Dragon) then would the same element spell be more powerful in every way, versus using any ther element?

I think the mana power is better off staying with the player character to cause less confusion or complications.

But still, where do all spell casters channel their mana from?
Dragons may have Dragon force but what about the human species? Chi/Yin-Yang/chakra/soul-power/etc or Gaia/planet life-force/invisible floating ether/Mana-tree/Mana-crystals :P /etc ?

I've watched the first 3 episodes and there are a few changes but then again I don't fully remember the Live Action Movie, but still the changes do feel in place and are acceptable.

You do get the feeling that you know what's going to happen next or what to expect but at the same time you also get the sitting on the edge of your seat kind of excitement   Not sure if its because of the acting or the pace of the movie or just nostalgia or just that the Death Note Story was simply excellent. Can't wait to see the ending That Maniac Laughter that Kira makes right after he is revealed/cornered in the last anime episode ... I really hope they do it right this time. (The Live action movie had sort off changed the ending so I really hope this time they are true to the Anime/manga)

so the current set of episodes (10) is the entire Manga series.
Starting in 2016, we'll have Death-Note 2. A brand new story. More DeathNotes, more Kiras
Maybe this time the other Kiras will be be smarter and not show basic serial killer giveaways (heart attach trademark kill)
I do understand that by that means, you are telling the world to be afraid or someone who gives criminals heart attacks will get you (something like Boogieman status) would send fear to the masses and be the most effective way to stop potential criminals. But that also brings to much attention to oneself.

If the people started dying through "accidents" or "suicides" from the get go and there wasn't any pattern then, you would be still killing the criminals and doing your job of making the streets safe.

It will take a little more time to get attention (of criminals suddenly dying) as the pattern in this case would be random, but still there wont be a moto or trademark, identifying the deathnote user.

Also the main point of not getting caught is to not get rattled by anything/anyone. Just keep doing what you're doing, be careful and don't give any attention to the police. The moment you start fighting back, the whole possibility of one side winning, takes root.

Yagami Light, felt that he needed to make Kira into an Icon, someone who would be known for his power. (But that all did start because he heavily relied on his trademark heart attack kills).

Anyhow, I still recommend you all watching the Live action series and hopefully the DeathNote2-2016 (unofficial name) would be equally exciting.

its a Justice(super detective) vs Evil(Anti-hero) genre.
Its has one or two shinigamis but they aren't the main focus.
Anti-hero gets somewhat powers of a shinigami (nothing like bleach, or dragon ballz shounen stuff) and the story is about how he uses them to make a better world but because he is an Anti-hero.. there has to be a good-guy to stop him :/


From what I remember, Yagami Light is at the level off Lelouch or little below him but yeah same high infamous kind of character rating.

I don't really recall many cases of hero vs anti-her, ggiven that they'rebboth still technically heroes. They usually just argue passionately about morals vs results. 

Lelouch is that guy from Evangelion, right? Never watched it, but I've heard it mentioned a lot. I always thought he was popular.

Lelouch is from Code Geass.

Its about an exiled "prince" gaining the ability of total obedience (he can order someone (only once) who looks into his eye to do whatever he commands).

His dream is to rule the world so that he can get rid of oppression and reclaim Japan from the British empire. The military uses various robots called nightmares. He gains access to one and begins his assault in a tactical way in a chess grandmaster kind of plotting. Later on another one or two are revealed to have the power of the Geass. everyone who would acquire a geass would have their own unique ability which is rooted from their subconscious.

I've only watched the main series and that was good enough. The captivating part of the story is the mind games and battle tactics that Lelouch and his enemies use.

Oh yeah, that's right. Got them confused. The premise sounds mildly interesting, but I don't like the character designs.
