There is a place mentioned "Olrio" in the map.
Is it okay to be used as a character location (in the past) but as you mentioned that people need to be in one place so I can have my character already traveled to "Miros" at the end of the Back-story.

Also there are some jagged/squiggly lines separating the two places. Are those supposed to be Mountains or Forest?

sure. Olrio is a merchant heavy city, they are pretty much in the middle between the 3 major cities, so it is mostly a merchant city.
