Because seeing a giant, llumbering monstrosity doing ballet just looks ridiculous. Plus, showcasing moves without a sword when all he did WAS swing one about makes no sense.

yes it's ridiculous. Cause King Arthur who's girl instead of a bearded man and a fictional nobody from the future fighting Hercules who can only roar isnt ridiculous, right? Saying something is ridiculous in a show that's all about over the top ridiculousness is pointless.

you also can't say they didn't fight since, in the vn you only see through Shirou's eyes in that fight and Rin and Illya in this ep fought while Shirou was still trying to catch up to them

No, she was going to Sakura because she had plenty of powerful magic circuits. Technically, it makes sense because of Sakura being another Holy Grail. They didn't go into detail to explain all of it, but it's not like they pulled it out of their ass.

No, she didn't. When Shirou runs up to the cemetery, Rin is literally just standing there. Illya never does anything in any route to fight. If she could, don't you think she would have done something when Saber, Rin, and Shirou were all ganging up on Berserker in the woods? Illya isn't a magus. The most she ever does is shoot a single blast of raw mana at Gilgamesh in a fit of anger when he appears on the wall of Shirou's house. But she can't perform magecraft like Rin can.

Caster actually said that any mage could be used and that Sakura was simply the easiest one to target.


Illya is actualy the strongest master in terms of pure raw power as a magus, easily outclassing anyone from FSN and even FZ, how the heck do you not know this?

Oh, she's the best Master with the most mana. But she is not a trained magus. She has no way to channel it into spells. She can supply a monster like Berserker with plenty of power when no one else could, but she wouldn't be able to beat anyone in a fight. It's stated explicitly in the VN. Pretty sure it's that same scene where she tries to attack Gil in Fate.

Yes. Trained her like sticking her out in the woods. They didn't teach her complex magecraft.

It's in there. The only scene where she does anything is to shoot a raw blast of mana. She doesn't know any spells. She's a Master, but she's not really a magus.
