Well, from what I've heard, critics generally say that The Secret of NIMH is Don Bluth's best work. I'm not so sure that's a good thing. It had its good points, but it was a bit too jumbled for my taste.

Well there's a 2nd movie if you ever want more.

Though with the great rat detective and the Fantastic Mr. Fox, that's two other animations

Gotta admit... Dean was kind of a douche in this episode. Sam goes after a kitsune he knew as a kid, but decides to let her live. Dean decides to go back and shank her anyway, then lets the kid live... apparently to stew in misery. He tells the mom that she can't fight being a monster and so must die, but then lets the kid live cause he hasn't killed yet.... though by his logic, it's just a matter of time and should do it anyway. But you know, kids! Can't kill them if you're a good guy, even when they're monsters.

Yeah Dean's either a grade A asshole, or was out of character that episode

Yeah...

Although to me, the ultimate out-of-character moment was him telling Bela he'll see her in hell as he drives off and leaves her to hellhounds. You know, after establishing all season how terrified he is at the prospect of going to hell. You might think he'd sympathize a bit with her desperate plight.... but NOPE.
