Liked? Not really. Saber is a douchenozzle, but he is a strong competitor.

Metal Gauntlets and wires, not metal gauntlets with wires. But it's still reasonable that she would have them so it's all good.
 
And those are just weapons. (Though the wires have a discharge ability or something.) Her actual magecraft is altering the body. Bending, stretching, acrobatic feats, etc.

And look at the master, he is not even actually legit to be his master

I really feel like Dowth's daughter deserves that title...

Well maybe Jack can somehow put Dowth out of the fight. He and Saber will have to retreat and she will be the Master from then on.

She's pretty much just going to analyze Shiyan's fingers so she knows what does what and what with what so she can predict the attacks before they're even made and move in
