| GENESIS CRISIS The Tale A cataclysmic war has ravaged the planet Earth. In a global battle for supremacy, no region of the globe was left unscarred. At the very height of the bloodshed, a revolutionary satellite cannon, Leviathan, took aim and fired at the earth. The power of the blast caused tidal waves the likes the world had never seen before. The Western Hemisphere was utterly wiped out, and Africa, Australia, and most of Asia plummeted into the ocean. Only the area once known as Europe remained intact. From the ashes of the devastation, one power arose from central Europe. The empire of Kaddath took control of the region, quickly regaining order and peace for the survivors of the war, but at the cost of much freedom. The militaristic government instilled its rule with an iron will, but the still-present fear of the recent catastrophe kept the people only too willing to accept its authority.
Much time has passed since then, and many advances in science. One was the field of genetics. After the Great War, unusual strains of DNA became evident in some people, genes that allowed the possessor to cause physical manifestations on the world around them, or magic as the primitive legends once called it. These were theorized to have come from one gene, the Unified Gene, which allowed unrestricted use of magic. But that gift was now lost, fractured among the many magic-carrying strains studied. This field of study became a popular science, studied among the educated as Strain Genetics.
Fearing this new power might allow insurrections, the Kaddathian Empire instituted a new law, making it forbidden to practice magic outside the Kaddathian Army. Any found casting magic would be immediately drafted, or face martial law. For a time, their stability remained ensured.
However, there were many who murmured in secret about the Kaddathian tyranny. From the shadows a revolutionary group, known as Legion, began to surface. In response, the Kaddathian Empire has brought down its mighty boot to stamp it out, but whispers of the Legion's power and the mysterious creatures known as Majin continue to circulate.
In this time, an unlikely group will be catapulted into the middle of these events. But with a path obscured with deception and secrets, how can they know where the real evil lies?------------------------------------------------ Chapter 1 - Harbingers - Spoiler:
A mysterious masked man calling himself Pierrot unleashes a heinous plot against Kaddath and the High General himself. His group, Legion, has prepared itself to rise up and now sends forth its first Harbinger, the White Rider, to go forth in conquest. Meanwhile, Alex Dranos, an ordinary student at the University of Academia, is attacked by a mysterious black creature that attempts to kill him. In a desperate attempt to save himself, Alex unwittingly unleashes magic that annihilates the creature. His life preserved, he now realized that by using magic he has placed not only himself but his friends Rise Esteed and Will Sparks and witnesses James Carter and Lisa on the Army's black list. Seeking the aide of their friend and ex-Army officer Keynes Allenby, the group found themselves on the run. Thanks to Keynes' contacts, the group was able to get a train out toward Eastern Kaddath, narrowly avoiding Chief Samael Raidon of the Secret Police. However, the train was sabotaged in the middle of the wilderness by Majin, who attempted to kill the group after devouring everyone onboard. Thanks to Rise's newly awakened strain, the group was able to defeat the Proclaimer. Now forced to travel on foot, they finally reached Palemare beaten and exhausted. They were able to enjoy a short reprieve, but soon the sirens signaling martial law on the city sounded, locking down the city. In their attempt to escape, the group found themselves mixed up with the Army and shunted to the front lines, where they faced the rampaging White Rider. It was a grueling battle, but the students were able to come out victorious and escape while Commander Grey, having just arrived, struck down Anivia. The escape was shortlived, however, as Chief Raidon managed to corner the group in an alley. Fortuitously, a group of Legion thugs attacked at that moment, giving the opportunity to slip out of Raidon's grasp as he dealt with the Legion forces. Hijacking a jeep, the group headed out east, hoping to finally move outside of the Army's formidable reach.
Once east, however, the group encountered the second of Legion's Riders - Jackson Matthis, the Red Rider. Determined to save his little sister from Legion's clutches, Jax directed troops to take control of the Kappal Mines and heavily damaged Belfort Industrial. On his way to destroy his final target - Helios Weapons Development - he was stopped by the unlikely group of friends. Thoroughly outclasses, they nevertheless fought their best to stop him from destroying the facility and losing lives. In the end, Jax succumbed to the terrible side-effects of his synth seraph, the Majin artificially planted inside him to allow him to utilize magic. Upon hearing his plight, the group decided to help him save his sister from Legion. Upon arriving in Legion's hideout in the sewers, however, they discovered Jax's sister Miki on the verge of death. Able to at last be united with each other, Miki died shortly after. With little time to grieve, Legion flooded the base to hide their presence and do away with the intruders. Narrowly escaping, the group was carried south, where they were able to find rest and shelter to figure things out. Mourning the death of his beloved sister, Jax determined to do whatever it would take to stop Legion, though understanding he was powerless on his own. The others, as well, felt a desire to intervene between the power struggle of the Army and Legion to protect the people of Kaddath. Thus, Aegis was born, and with it a new purpose and resolve for the band of deserters.
Chapter 2 - Tribulations - Spoiler:
After the founding of Aegis, the group headed to Peterny to attempt to stop the next step of Legion's plans. Shortly upon arriving, however, the Military Police appeared to apprehend them, with Raidon thoroughly outmatching Alex and Will as they tried to resist. Fortunately, Keynes arrived in time to stop Raidon from killing them and allow them to escape. Even he couldn't match Kaddath's most infamous swordsman, however, and soon an outsider was forced to step in and distract Raidon to facilitate Keynes' escape. His savior turned out to be Jane Doe, High Agent of Kaddath and double agent for Legion. With her knowledge of the water facility, Aegis was able to infiltrate the plant as the Black Rider began his plan to poison the water supply by adding the remains of Majin to the water. A fight ensued, which ended the water supply halted and the Black Rider cornered. However, the arrival of Command Alina Grey and Police Chief Raidon allowed for the Black Rider to escape, taking Kokonoe Velda with him. Seeing that their time was up, Aegis quickly vacated the premises and sought refuse in an old Army bunker Jane Doe had found. While there, Aegis used this opportunity to train their fighting abilities for the next time they would need to face the Army or Legion.
Seeking retribution for Legion's actions, the Army determined to send its airship fleet to bomb those cities thought to have Legion affiliation. Unwillingly, Commander Alina Grey was placed in charge of the fleet at Palemare Airship Foundary. Hearing of the Army's plans, Aegis determined to stop them and headed out. Lisa, however, broke off from the group and allowed herself to be captured after being shown footage by Jane of her sister Arya being tortured for information. Upon being taken to police headquarters, Lisa found herself forced to watch as Arya was tortured and molested to try to break her. With the abuse having gone too far, Chief Raidon was forced to step in and end things. With Lisa still proving to be uncooperative, Commander Chastenay determined to simply execute the lot of prisoners at Caltha for treason. The sentence set, Raidon was made to relay the information to Arya, and, in a surprising act of kindness, allowed her to spend the night with Lisa in her cell to catch up.
Meanwhile, having reached Palemare, the members of Aegis began to sabotage the airship fleet while Jax held off the Commander herself. Though she did not agree with the decision, Alina was determined to uphold her orders. However, Jax was equally determined to make her see the error of her ways. Pulling off a narrow victory, the Red Rider embraced his opponent to let her know that she wasn't alone. This touching moment was cut short, however, by the arrival of the Army's prototype mobile doll, which easily defeated the members of Aegis in single combat. In a last ditch effort, they combined their spells to hold Lambda off while they were able to escape.
Despite having her life attempted and her allies turn their back on her, Alina was reluctant to switch sides to Aegis. Meanwhile, Arya and Lisa were separated once more as the elder sister was sent to the capital for execution, while the younger was taken prisoner by Raidon and Chastenay as a bargaining tool as they went down to Peterny to finally try to apprehend Aegis.
Jane Doe, who was revealed to be Chastenay's mole, tried to seduce Keynes to lower his guard before she could activate a homing signal to bring the Army in. However, she realized that she'd fallen in love with Keynes, and instead she escaped the bunker to head back to Chastenay and try to negotiate a deal to get Aegis free. Unfortunately, not being aware of what had happened, Aegis thought Jane was betraying them and pursued her to Peterny. Being caught in Chastenay's trap, the situation appeared hopeless for Aegis. Raidon attempted to take Keynes down in a surprise attack, but Jane saved his life, taking the fatal blow herself. With Jane revealing the truth to Keynes before slipping away, Keynes challenged Raidon himself and managed to defeat him while Alina thoroughly humiliated Chastenay in combat, allowing Aegis to escape.
Current Arc: Chapter 3 - Revelations - Spoiler:
Having moured Jane's passing, Aegis was left unsure of how to proceed. Finally gathering their strength, Aegis determined to keep going and produce a broadcast of their own so that the people of Kaddath would know someone was fighting for them. With the death of her half-sister spurring her forward, Alina delivered a heartfelt message to the people of Kaddath. Unfortunately, the Army swiftly countered this with a declaration of death without trial for any suspected members or sympathizers of any anti-Army groups. Using this as a springboard, the final part of Legion's plan came into motion as the Pale Rider came forward, rallying the people against the Army's tyranny and revealing that the satellite cannon Leviathan that ended the Great War was being made functional, supposedly for use against the people. Aegis used Kokonoe's Traesto gems made from Millie's strain to teleport to the capital and challenge the Pale Rider before he could put his plan into action. Unfortunately, Commander Lecarde and the Imperial Guard arrived to break up the rally, turning things into a chaotic battle royale. The Pale Rider managed to get away, and Aegis escaped soon after as Lecarde rallied his men to pursue the Pale Rider.
Mission 1 - Operation Reconciliator - Spoiler:
Legion forces have overrun the Ergo Strain Genetics Lab in Northern Kaddath. Several highly important researchers are in danger of death or capture. Reclaim control of the lab facility and ensure the safety of key personnel. Proceed with haste.
Mission 2 - Operation Black Harvest - Spoiler:
Legion forces have taken control of the adamantine mines in Eastern Kaddath and halted mining productions. Enter the mines, eliminate all Legion forces, and ensure control until proper personnel can arrive to reinstate the mining operations.
Further intelligence has reported that Legion is experimenting in the lower mines. Approach with caution.
Mission 3 - Operation Snow Drift - Spoiler:
Legion forces have apprehended Army researcher Kokonoe Velda. Recover at all costs.
Further intelligence has reported that the last known location of the target was outside Peterny.
Mission 4 - Operation Morning Glory - Spoiler:
Legion forces are attempting to recover a former scientist who went rogue. Recover the target or eliminate to ensure that Legion does not recover.
Further intelligence has reported that the last known location of the target was in a forest in northwestern Kaddath.
Mission 5 - Operation Half Moon - Spoiler:
Eliminate remaining super soldiers and apprehend any remaining researchers.

Mission 6 - Operation High Tide - Spoiler:
Highly sensitive cargo is being kept in storage units at Salacia. Intelligence has reported Legion plans to invade from the harbor and steal the cargo. Defend the harbor at all costs and eliminate all Legion forces. If any storage units are compromised, detonate without entry.
Note: Cargo is considered of the most highly sensitive nature. Any Army soldiers found entering the storage units are to be eliminted on the spot.

| World Description Kaddath is a region of both primitive and advanced technology. In the wake of the Great War, much of the technology of the previous war was lost and had to be redone. Most of the focus was on was on scientific and medical advancements, and as a result these areas are more advanced than the were before the Great War changed the face of the globe. The Grand Army of Kaddath in particular possesses the majority of these advancements, using computers, scanners, and phones. The majority of people, however, live a humble means with fairly medieval technology. Weapons have not been advanced for fear of another catastrophic war, and thus are limited to items such as swords, spears, and daggers. While average citizens have to make due with cheaper equipments like wood and steel for their weapons, Army weapons and armor are all made from adamantine. Ensigns are typically given a standard issue one-handed sword, but those who show greater aptitude for other types of weapons can take exams to prove their skill and be granted alternative weapons. Secret Police are all trained to use katanas and stunners, a blunt dart-like device that emits an electric impulse when it hits the target to stun them. Academic institutions are held in high regard under Kaddathian rule, and in order to get the most out of the coming generations, students are required to take aptitude tests to determine their major and future degrees. Alex is loud and little quick to his temper but he has a warm heart; he doesn’t try to butt into people’s problem but he always ends up helping others. Due to his quick temper, some people think of him as delinquent and with his loudness it is not hard to make unfavorable first impression. Alex cannot tolerate bullies, and usually that is the reason why he ends up fighting. Alex is strong believer that what Army doing now is nothing but stealing people’s freedom, and he has grudge against the Army.

Alex was born from the average family who lived peacefully, until one fateful day.
On his 15th birthday, a man broke into the house, and killed his parents, who were the only relatives he had, and escaped. When the police came, it was too late to track the murderer down, and Alex had to leave his old home and start his study in the boarding school.
The incident made Alex to close his heart to the people, and he changed into real troublemaker; vandalism was common, fighting with his peers, arguing with the teacher, and disrespecting authority, the list could go on and on. Such behaviors were made people frowned, however one of the staff members defended him, and asked the school to give him another chance. The man, who prevented Alex from being expel, was a school’s Kendo club teacher and the school reluctantly overlooked at Alex’ disturbing behaviors.
Alex, who heard about what happened, rolled his eyes and confronted the teacher who stood up for him. Without warning Alex attacked him, yelling that he didn't want man’s pity; however, with one swing the teacher knocked him out.
When unconscious Alex woke up, he found himself, he was in the dojo, and it marked the beginning of Alex’ new life.
At first, however, Alex refused to join in, so the teacher asked Alex to have a simple match with his son. Alex shook his head and said he was not a bully; Alex knew that kendo club teacher had fourteen years old son. In other words, Alex didn't like the idea of beating up younger kid. The teacher, however, made Alex mad by calling him chicken. The short tempered Alex challenged the fourteen years old kid. To Alex surprise, he was defeated just like how he was defeated by the boy’s old man. Half ashamed, half motivated, Alex decided to train himself with Kendo.
As he started his training, he gave up his troublesome behaviors; the only thing he couldn't fix was his short temper. Then again, as he became little relaxed with others, his anger had gotten easier to cool it off. The only situation he couldn't help but to explode was when he saw someone getting bullied by others.
At the age of sixteen, Alex was able to enter the Kendo tournament that was held in his school. Everyone was surprised by Alex' remarkable swordsmanship; he earned first place in that tournament. With the medal he earned, he went to the dojo he trained to celebrate his success with the teacher and teacher's son. However, when Alex got there, the master was crying; the teacher’s son was taken away from him, just because he was a strain user. That day carved Alex' soul with pain, and that feeling developed into a grudge against the army.
In anyways, Alex’s swordsmanship was recognized by Army and that enabled Alex to continue his studies at University of Academia. Even though, Alex didn't like the fact that Army was helping him out, the master insisted Alex to carry on with his study; the master and disciple said their final good bye with smile and tears.
On his first day to the university, he helped a man to carry some stuffs; the man was running a bar, and he looked like he needed a hand so without further ado, Alex helped him. After he helped the man, he made it to his first lecture, just in time.
Alex made two friends as he started his university life, Rise and Will. Even though, they got nothing in common, for Alex, they were the first people he actually opened his heart. Alex promised himself, "No matter what happens I will protect them."

Position: Ex-general Personality: Keynes is a kind soul with a big heart, but isn't very good at expressing himself. His years in the military let him see numerous young soldiers grow up under him, but despite all of his training, he was never really much good as the father figure he often found himself in the role of. On the surface, he seems rather cheerful, but beneath that, Keynes is actually pretty sullen and pessimistic. History:- Spoiler:
Keynes was born into a decent family, and caused very little trouble throughout his childhood. In fact, very little of note took place before his first semester at university, which he got into because of an intellectual exam. Unlike his hometown, where Keynes had been the smartest in everything, at the university, he was surrounded by other people that were as intelligent as he was, or in most cases, more so.
Halfway through his second semester, he was considering the option of switching to a less advanced university and moving back home. It was obvious that although he had passed the exam, Keynes didn't have the proper mindset for the university, but when his lab partner caught wind of the fact that her partner might be abandoning her for the rest of the semester, she confronted him about it. The kind-hearted Keynes was unable to desert her to the fate of either doing two peoples' work for the remainder of the course or flunking out of the class, and decided that he'd stay until the semester was over, but as the time for him to leave drew closer, Keynes realized that during the short time he'd known her, he had fallen madly in love with her.
Telling himself that he could make it work out, Keynes decided to stay, and the two of them continued to work together for the next semester as well. It was probably obvious to her why he had decided to stay, but she never asked him about it, and Keynes didn't bring it up until the end of their second year, when he clumsily told her his feelings, and the two of them began dating. They remained like this for the next three years, until right before graduation.
In the months leading up to the ceremony, she had received a number of offers to work in various research positions, and Keynes had received nothing. He had only managed to survive the courses with the lowest allowed scores in most cases, and as their university lives came to a close, he realized that he would only be a burden to her if he stayed. So, the morning after graduation, he vanished, leaving only a short note saying goodbye.
Keynes spent the next several years in the military, working his way up through the ranks with his fairly sharp mind, which gave him an edge in tactical situations. On a few occasions, he even thought to himself that he might go find her again someday when he made something of himself, but that was never to be. On his third operation as a general, Keynes made a decision that saved a platoon of his men at the cost of the objective. He was already too decorated to be demoted. So, Keynes was forced into an early retirement instead.
Without even realizing it, Keynes made his way back to the town where his university had been, and after a few months, he opened a bar just outside the campus, offering the students a place to relax from their grueling schedules. It was all he could really do at this point in his life, and it didn't hurt to have a couple bottles laying around to hide in whenever he started thinking about the past. Magic: None

Personality: Rise is an energetic and determined individual. She always tells people what's best for them to do, even when they don't want to hear it, and isn't above pouting, guilt-tripping, and harrassing people to make them listen. She is something of a gossip and busy-body and loves to tease others. When she seems something she wants, she's incredibly direct and doesn't stop till she gets it. She tries to always stay positive and encourage others, and loves nothing more than making people smile. Affiliations: University of Academia Status: university student History: Rise was born the only child to a loving mother and father. However, her mother was a sickly woman and died when Rise was a young girl. Rise's father was highly affected by this and dove into alcohol to drown his sorrows. He turned out to be a sorrowful, reclusive drunk, and as a result he grew to more and more just ignore Rise's presence. She attempted to bear the responsibility of keeping things up, but when the opportunity for college arose, she quickly escaped to leave her father to wallow in his own despair without looking back. She was able to quickly make friends with Alex and Will, mostly due to her persistance. Although the university placed her in mathematics due to her proficiency, she finds it too dry and dreams of being able to sing and bring smiles to people's faces. Personality: William, or Will as the few friends he has call him, has always been the type to keep to himself. Obviously, it's not because he can't deal with people, seeing as he surprisingly charismatic. He just prefers the peace and quiet of being alone to the noise of a crowd. Because of this inability to blend in with the social norm, Will has often been labeled as a delinquent, a rumor that he actually encourages in hopes that others will simply leave him alone. Will was born the son of a famous gambler. His mother was a beauty, and she was the best thing in his life, even before his father fell into debt and buried himself in a bottle. For a few years, his family was barely making it, scraping together whatever they could to pay off the debts his father had racked up, but in the end, the strain proved to be too much for the old man, and in a drunken rage one night, he murdered Will's mother.
For the next few years, Will bounced from one foster home to the next, until he finally found a place where he was comfortable, in the care of an older couple that left him to his own devices for the most part. Position: University student, Vice Captain of the university archery team Personality: Lisa is incredibly strict with herself, and is constantly trying to improve her skills. This often translates to others around her as well, since she is more than happy to help others better themselves, even if they don't necessarily want to. She can come across as a bit pushy sometimes, but Lisa also has a protective side that's often seen when one of her juniors is in trouble. Lisa is also nonviolent by nature, avoiding any confrontation that doesn't seem necessary, and she has almost zero tolerance for alcohol. History:- Spoiler:
At the age of four, Lisa's family was taken from her in one fell swoop. Both of her parents well killed in a vehicle accident, and less than a week later, the foster care system decided to place her sister in a different home. Without anything else to cling to, the young Lisa accepted her new family incredibly quickly. Of course, she still felt the pain of her losses, but they were there to wipe away her tears, and in time, they became as close to Lisa as her real family had been.
As the years passed, the wounds healed, but Lisa strived for excellence in everything she did, constantly trying to live up to her foster parents' expectations, even though all they wanted was for her to enjoy her new lease on life. On her 14th birthday, the first letter arrived. It was addressed to Lisa, but from an address she didn't recognize, and her foster mother had given it to her with a sad look in her eyes. She let the letter sit on her desk for almost a month before she finally worked up the courage to open it.
The contents were life-changing. Inside the envelope was a picture of her and her sister when they were children and a letter telling her what her sister had been up to during the ten years since they were separated. With tears in her eyes, Lisa composed a letter of her own in response. She wasn't entirely sure what to write, but there was one thing she wanted to convey in the letter. A part of her life that she had thought she'd never be able to get back had returned to her, and she was incredibly happy about that.
From then on, the letters kept coming, at first infrequently, but with time they came more often, and Lisa made sure to reply to each of them. Whenever one of them would change locations, they would send their new address in the next letter, and without ever actually talking in person, the two of them reconnected with each other. It was also during this time that Lisa took up archery as a club activity, which she seemed to have some talent for. Due to her high aptitude scores, Lisa was admitted to a large university, where she was admitted into the Medical Research and Development department. Of course, she also joined the university's archery team, where she now holds the title of Vice Captain. James appeared to be a normal college student. A little bit geeky maybe, seeing that he was always wearing a micro-chip around his neck and had some kind of computer device with him, but since he also engaged into normal activities such as sport, people never seemed to be sure about him. Already at a very young age he became interested in anything that had an electrical circuit. However, since him and his family weren't exactly in a position to acquire all the things he needed, he soon began to work for the parts he wanted.
He grasped the concept quickly and excelled at developing new technologies and software. In a very short time, even before he started college, James founded his own company and became a successful business owner. Yet, since he was still young, his immaturity and rebellious character made this company for him nothing more than a toy, something to support his ideas and developments with money.
Knowing he still could learn more and become an even better programmer, he went off to college. There he met with a highly regarded professor who introduced him to a Liaison officer from the army. Impressed by James's skills, he was granted a military contract for his company, putting a whole new responsibility on him. Sadly, this did nothing to mature his mind and he's still regarding most of it as a game.
Shortly after he started college, his magic gene manifested. However, he already had his military contract and was able to convince the Liaison officer that he was more useful if he finished his studies and expanded his contract. The military agreed, however insisted that he completed the basic army training and would continue working with them after his studies were done. Though seemingly a bruiser, he tends to be very introspective. This tends to work against him, as it makes him reflect on his mistakes and weaknesses more and thus be very hard on himself. Jax provided for the two of them and helped keep them alive and safe for some time. But one day men came to their town during the night, kidnapping children and teenagers to use in a research experiment. Jax was unable to stop them from taking Miki and himself and imprisoning them in one of Legion's underground bases. They had little real use for Miki, but kept her as leverage to make Jax stay in line as they took him and the other best candidates for strain research. After countless hours of torturous experimentation, he and three others managed to survive and successfully display the qualities Legion was looking for. These four were made into Legion's Riders of the Apocalypse. Jax had little care in Legion's machinations, but was determined to use what they'd given him to help him grow stronger. In public, she's a hero of the people, and has no trouble dealing with whatever situation she happens to be placed in, but outside of her duties, Alina is a somewhat awkward woman. Since her mother died while she was young, she was never taught how a lady should act, but was instead raised with her father's knightly pride. Alina has no memory of her mother, who died of some disease while she was only two. In order to cope with his wife's death, her father tried his best to be there for his daughter whenever possible, and if she ever missed her mother's presence, Alina never let it show. Instead, she followed closely in her father's footsteps. Even as a child, she had already learned the sword, and many of the other nobles were appalled by the fact that she'd rather be fencing than playing with dolls, like the other girls her age.
Despite her protests, her father did send Alina off to a private school for a few years, where she was educated in the things that he himself couldn't teach her, but the two of them maintained contact through letters, and after the first few weeks, it was obvious that she didn't resent him for his decision.
When she returned from the school, Alina began dealing in small matters of the court that her father didn't have the time to deal with, and within the course of a year or two, she had developed somewhat of a reputation amongst the nobles. Clearly, she wasn't what they were used to, and that was only made more obvious when she enrolled into the military to follow in her father's footsteps, footsteps that would eventually lead her to taking over his position as Commander when he fell ill and could no longer continue his duties.
She had always thought that she would return his position to him when he got better, but Alina learned of her father's passing one night when she returned from a diplomatic mission. It was obvious that she was crushed by the news, and for a time, High Command thought of removing her from her father's position. Afraid that she would lose the ability to carry on his legacy if she no longer held his position, Alina pulled herself back together to resume her command, but she was never quite the same after his death. Position: Head Research Scientist Personality: Kokonoe is a brilliant and dedicated scientist, esteemed as a prodigy in her early days and a genius in the field of strain genetics in her latter days. However, she is dripping with sarcasm and cynicism that makes it incredibly difficult to get along with her, much less get close to her. This, coupled with her habit of loud, expletive-filled rants and chain smoking, has ensured that the Army values her expertise at a considerable distance. Beneath all this hides a brave and well-meaning person, who will never back down from their views regardless of the consequences. History: Kokonoe was brought up in a family of scientists and was expected to continue and further their legacy. This was never a burden to Kokonoe, who aspired to to do great things with her mind, which she had proven more than capable of despite her young years. Upon attending university, she had thoroughly and single-mindedly focused upon achieving excellent grades and awards. However, right off the bat her lab partner apparently got cold feet and decided to back out. Infuriated, she confronted him not only for her own sake but for his, lecturing him on considering his future and all he could achieve. To her great relief, he reconsidered and stayed. She believed she had inspired him with her impassioned talk, but it soon became evident that this was not the case. Although he stayed, he continued to only do the bare minimum where his own grades where concerned. When they were partnered, however (as they often happened to be, since she hadn't bothered to get to know anyone else), he always strove to do as much as possible to help her out. Kokonoe, curiosity burning, decided to confront him about it. Surprisingly, he came out and confessed his feelings to her. Kokonoe was flustered and didn't know how to respond or even what to think, but fortunately he hadn't seemed to expect a reply. During a study session well into their university years, she found that she was less focused on the exam they were attempting to prepare for and more on the man she was studying with, much to her distress. She kept stealing glances at his pleasantly rugged features and particularly his lips, wondering what they would feel like. Suddenly, she slid close to him, cheeks flushed as she gazed up into his face. "Kokonoe?! W-what are you doing?" he gasped. She scowled embarrassedly at him, wondering how he could ask something like that with her intent so obvious. "Experimenting to test a hypothesis," she replied before pulling him into a kiss. When they finally came up for air, panting heavily, she adjusted her glasses and sighed. "I think I like you too," she replied before sliding back to her seat and picking back up her text book. Despite her newfound romantic interest, Kokonoe made strict point of not allowing their relationship to interfere with their studies. The arrangement worked quite well, and the moments of pure relaxation were all the more special because of it. Kokonoe began to find herself more and more attached with her love interest, and began to think of how to approach talking about their future together after graduating. However, these thoughts were put on the backburner as she was forced to sort through many potential positions and offers for research opportunities as graduation loomed closer. And then suddenly it was gone. Right after graduation, the love of her life simply disappeared without so much as a goodbye, only leaving a note to say he was sorry. Kokonoe cried bitterly for many weeks, heartbroken at the betrayal. Soon, however, the wound made so deeply by the sudden loss of her love began to scab and harden over. Kokonoe began to blame herself for the pain, realizing that she should have never placed her feelings above her goals and future. Discarding all unnecessary aspects of her persona, Kokonoe dived into her work with renewed fervor, determined to keep her life solely devoted to science. Despite eschewing all unnecessary social contact and burying herself in her research, Kokonoe couldn't hide the bitterness that continued to fester inside her, no matter how much she tried to bury it under her cynicism, swearing, and chain smoking.

Personality: Julius always maintains a show of calmness and courtesy that makes him seem incapable of losing composure. In truth, Julius possesses no real emotions, having long ago discarded them as the result of all tragedies in the world. His experiences have led him to only believe in the firm hand of justice, leaving no room for mercy or leniency. This unyielding belief has led many to criticize him as ruthless and inhuman, particularly with his mask of distant politeness. Affiliations: Praetorate, Grand Army of Kaddath Status: Praetorate, Head of the Ignus Imperius Division History: Julius lost his parents in a revolt during the earlier days of the Army's control, when they had not yet firmly cemented their power. Bitter and resentlful, Julius was passed on through orphanages and foster care until he was old enough to leave for private schooling. Julius determined to make something of himself and discarded those emotions he believed responsible for the motivation of the foolish revolutionaries and the death of his parents. Though having an aptitude for military tactics and leadership, he prefers to let his generals do the planning. Affiliations: Army Status: Commander of the Mare Amplitudo Division History: Urlan's story was typical enough. He grew up in a normal home and received a standard education. But he was often in trouble for brawling, usually for no real reason other than the thrill. His magic strain manifested in his later teens, and he was taken into the Army. His determined nature and valuable fighting skills quickly helped him to climb ranks, where he later displayed surprising aptitude for tactics and leadership skills (though his critics argued it was less of a noble "leaders should be the first in a charge" and more of a reckless determination to bash as many heads in before anyone else got a chance. Whatever the case, he managed to be nominated as Commander once the more head of the Mare Amplitudo Division retired. Having little real choice, Urlan accepted, though he has since regretted assuming such a tiresome mantle. However, Lancar's insight and calm demeanor has helped him complete many successful missions for the Army. Affiliations: Grand Army of Kaddath, Taurus Squad #34 Status: Lieutenant History: Lancar was born into a well to-do family near the capital. He was upheld to the highest standards in his family, always made to attend formal events with officials and such to be groomed for a high-ranking political position than would further their family. However, those plans changed when Lancar manifested his magic gene while at university. His parents were highly affronted that he'd ruined their aspirations for his future and cut off communication with him. Despite his utmost performance in the Army, they never so much glanced his way. As a result, he has developed something of a perfection complex so as to gain the approval from his superiors that he could not from his family. Her favorite targets are her usual support targets, namely Lieutenant Holmes, as he is particularly easy to fluster. Affiliations: Army Status: Communications operative (supports Army soldiers in the field) History: Sasha's story was fairly common for the Army - she grew up a normal kid, went to college, and decided the best job opportunities were with the Army. Being competent with computers and other communication forms, she decided to become a communications operative. She was soon assigned as support to an unlikely duo, as polar opposite as possible. Personality: A woman who appreciates all work made by man no matter how sloppy or atrocious it is. She believes that each creation has the value of a human life and grows infuriated if anyone ruins another person's creation. However, despite her love for creation, she has a very low value when it comes to human life unless they prove themselves imaginative and creative first or knew her from a young age. One of the human lives she values the least would be her own, and would be willing to give up her life for a lot of people. However, she still tries to greet everyone she can in the kindest of manners at first since after all, they are a lot better off than her and she should respect them. She's always been an all work and no play kind of person though since she actually wants to do something with what she believes her worse life, and believes that she doesn't deserve any sort of play. Due to this reason, she can be found yelling at slackers with her being very content to her current way of life since she believes this is a great achievement for a blind woman. Aera was born into a family of blacksmiths along with her brother Delin. As a daughter of the family, she wasn’t required to carry on the family name but be free according to her own wishes with her family hoping she would develop a high sense of independence in a time that seemed so oppressive to them. However, instead she was obsessively focused on becoming a blacksmith like her bother, as she constantly followed him around and asked him if she could work along with him. The brother happily accepted to help out his poor little sister, as he helped her forge a sword in front of her by guiding her arms towards the anvil due to his little sister being blind.
He figured she would give up blacksmithing since it would be so difficult for her, but she developed a fondness for the art, learning the various sounds and areas through feeling she had to hit in order to forge a perfect weapon that had no deformities, while asking her parents if she had forged the weapon properly. And, her parents were actually surprised that it was forged quite well that rivaled even her brother’s work. However, this didn’t sit well with her brother, as he began to resent the fact that a blind girl was beating him in his life’s work that he had practiced a lot more then she had. It wasn’t fair at all, so he simply tried his hardest to ruin the girl who had built up into her now confident state. Even though her parents now supported her to do blacksmithing wholeheartedly, they even told the entire village how much of a prodigy their blind daughter was.
Aera never truly thought she was gifted though. There was always a feeling inside of her that told her she was just mediocre and could never stand up to the potential of anyone in the real world with her being constantly harassed by the jealous younger villagers who hated the attention she was being blessed with, because with fame comes trouble, which only began more evident as a nearby jealous homeless family that was down on their luck hated the unrightfully blessed family of blacksmiths.
One night, they snuck into the Aera’s house to rob them blind, but unfortunately for them, random villagers aren’t exactly very stealthy and the blacksmiths quickly found them and demanded they leave their residence. This wasn’t something the unlucky family wanted to hear; as they used something they knew they had over the blacksmith family that they have kept secret from the army this entire time, strains. Blasts of fire scorched the house, as Aera who was sleeping in her bed heard her family screaming in the distance. She quickly ran downstairs disregarding the scorching fire that covered her body in burns.
Unexpectedly, the screaming had stopped, but Aera knew that this was the spot that the pain filled screams had come from, due to her enhanced hearing from being blind. However, no amount of hearing would allow her to see the corpses of her family that may be lying in front of her, but she wouldn’t move. She wished and wished that she would be able to see them and have vision, and finally her wish had been granted. Her eyes lit up with light as a torrent of energy filled her eyes, and she could see in front of her perfectly. Nothing could escape her gaze now, even if she wanted it to.<br />There was nothing there besides a bunch of broken burring wood and fire burning the area around her that now trapped her within the room. Like, Hell’s maw about to bring her down into damnation with her family supposedly there too. But suddenly, a strange man busted through the windows apparently in an army uniform as he scanned the room and noticed her. He smiled to tell her if it would be alright as he carried her off into safety. Aera was hoping she would be able to at least return to the village after that, but she got a little carried away with her new found vision, as she awed at everything she saw in the distance. Until, inevitably, her mana quickly ran low and she went blind again, her eyes returning to their old empty shades with her letting out a blood curdling scream; her mind remembering all of her tormenting past of her being blind, while quickly passing out from the overuse of mana.
The officer was shocked at first, but he was even more shocked when they saw the evidence that she was now blind and forcefully drafted her to be a part of the Grand Army of Kaddath when he found it was due to mana.
During her time at the army, she was more respected then when she was back home in the eyes of the general public since a lot of solders were curious about her since she was blind, but at the same time many higher ups also questioned her ability to fight and thought about giving her a job that focused on hearing due to her handicap. However, the officer who rescued her, Mian, was able to vouch for her impressive past since he originally came to the village, because he heard about an amazing blind blacksmith.
With this recommendation, Aera was opted into a test of a hearing enchantment prototype that ran off a mana battery that had to be charged from time to time. Her hearing wasn’t improved to superhuman levels, but it would be enough for her to stand side by side next to her fellow soldiers, which was enough for her. Weapons: A sword and a shield that have the Hama gene inside of them that Aera can ignite with her mana to blind her foes. The sword and shield match her bright armor with her shield being shaped like a book. Aera’s lost mind was filled with hellish dreams that were abnormally much worse tonight. She wandered, lost, in an endless void of darkness with only a feeling of fear that silvered throughout the void, but there was one difference with this empty void that resembled every moment of her life it was insanely hot. It almost felt like her skin was about to melt off, as she tried to feel around the void for some sort of exit out of this hellish pit, a way out of this darkness.
However, before she could complete this desperate search the sound of three very familiar screams resonated through her fragile mind, as she was finally able to awake from the dream and wake up gasping for breath, hoping that all of that was really just a dream.
Unfortunately, the unbearable heat could still be felt in the air, but this time the sound of crackling wood was heard with it that symbolized an actual fire was burning in her house. Was it because of the forge lit something on fire? What could have gone wrong! Her life was already bad enough, but her questioning soon came to a halt when the actual screams of her family were heard in the distance, as she threw off the covers in her bed that couldn’t be seen by her eyes and jumped out of the bed on her two shaking legs in a sweat that was caused from the fire and her concern of her family. She quickly bolted out of her most likely burning door, and she hastily worked her way to the now unfamiliar living room from her peaceful and happier memories of her now dying home.

Personality: Daemond presents himself as an impervious individual. He wants others to think that everything rolls off his back and that he's a steadfast individual. Daemond believes he's expected to be strong/courageous/fearless and attempts to appear so amongst his peers. On the inside, Daemond is not so impervious. He worries about how he's perceived, and so usually ignores how he is truly feeling. If his facade breaks and someone is able to see past it, this greatly distresses Daemond. Years of emotional abuse from his father has instilled Daemond with a fear of being abnormal or different and this is a large part of the reason why Daemond tries to play up his strengths. However, not everything Daemond presents to others is fake. He might not be as strong or as courageous as he wants to be, but that's not to say he doesn't have any naturally. As well, Daemond has a sense of responsibility and respect for his peers and those he considers a friend. He will fight for these people and he will do what he can to protect them. Truly, he has an "All for one, one for all" sense about him. As an aside, Daemond isn't a fan of his strain. He feels partly embarrassed by its lack of direct attack power. Daemond's earliest vivid memory is of the age of four, when he was left alone in the woods one night. It was not out of spite or hate that his father abandoned him, but to instill a lesson into his son. Daemond was eventually brought to his parent's doorstep by a concerned co-worker of his father's, crying and shivering from the cold. Despite this, his father slapped him once he was brought inside.
The lesson, it turned out, was "Life is hard."
And that lesson was especially true for the son of Gabriel Wright.
Gabriel had been a logger for most of his life. He was a bruiser and a lover of violence. It was truly a miracle that he was able find a wife as frail and dainty as Maria. She had always said she loved her husband's energy as she had so little of her own. So little in fact, that the birth of Daemond had made her a very sickly woman. She was unable to leave the house anymore, having only her family and the occasional visitor as company. With Maria in such a state, Gabriel was forced work less and less often. It had made the man very bitter and, as Daemond suspected as he grew older, Gabriel had decided to take it out on his son.
Of course, when Daemond thought about it, his father was just toughening him up so he could be a logger as well. That was all it was, right? Daemond felt that his father would not truly risk his life. Or at least, he hoped so. It was harder to determine as Daemond got older. Things just got worse, especially around the age of eight.
Most of Daemond's childhood friends were scared of his dad. They would often avoid Daemond after meeting Gabriel or decline any offer to hang out. One of these friends were different however, and his name was Alex. He seemed to not care about the large man who gave both his son and anyone he stood next to angry glares. Daemond was happy for this, and considered Alex his best friend. They soon started doing just about everything together.
Daemond would later tell both his father and himself that it was totally innocent. Two friends holding hands didn't have to mean anything, even if they were boys. Gabriel wouldn't listen to that, obviously. He was vicious the evening he saw them, laying into Daemond with both his words and his fists. There was nothing Daemond felt he could do about it. He had went to his mother after the event hoping for her sympathy, but his mother's soft voice did nothing but scorn him. She had been told by Gabriel what happened. She told Daemond that he was never to see Alex again.
And so from then on, things got worse. Gabriel became not just a tough father, but a hateful one as well. Daemond was never tough enough for him, never stern or tenacious enough for him. Heading into his teen years, Daemond faced both emotional and physical abuse. Due to his lack of a girlfriend (or any friend at all, really), his father went as far as bringing him local girls to date. They never worked out, one way or another, and Gabriel had even suggested that Daemond sexually abuse girls if he had to. Needless to say, it disgusted the boy.
Eventually, it all came to a stop.
Daemond had no idea how he had done it, but he had casted magic. He was 17 at the time and feeling particularly angry at his father. He had been left to watch his mother as she slept, to make sure nothing went wrong with her. Deciding to have a moment of rebellion, Daemond tried to sneak his way out of the house. Unfortunately, that was when Gabriel appeared. Instinctively, Daemond's heart skipped a beat and he shrank where he stood. Daemond was getting bigger and a bit stronger, but that still didn't mean his father couldn't hurt him. A look of rage appeared on Gabriel's face, but as he started gunning for Daemond, something stopped him. It was a barrier of magic. It was pretty weak and only enough to stop Daemond's father from walking, but it was enough to change everything.
Gabriel shrank away from the magic and for once in Daemond's life, he saw fear in his father's eyes. His son had a power he didn't have.
"I always knew you were a freak!" Gabriel had cried. He had started calling Daemond many things, but he never lost that fearful look. Daemond thought this moment would be satisfying, but ultimately, it felt a bit nauseous. Both father and son knew what this meant, and it meant Daemond had to leave.
Daemond didn't pack much and left as soon as possible. His father never stopped him. Any other time he would have, but not now.
The boy knew this meant he was to be drafted, but he didn't want to do it. He was scared. He didn't think he could do that sort of thing. His whole life he had been told he was weak and powerless, and now he was expected to join the military? Daemond could not face it. He had managed to escape the authorities that his father sent after him and continued to do so for a while. During the next few years he tried to be the person he felt was acceptable. No matter what, no one could see him be weak and no one could see him as abnormal. Still, Daemond knew all things eventually come to an end.
He ended up drafted after all. Weapons: Like all others in the army, Daemond is capable of wielding one-handed swords, katanas, and stunners. Wanting to prove something, he applied to take the exam for two-handed weapons and passed. And so, his preferred weapon is a traditional two-handed broadsword. The tidal wave had been tremendous, too much for Kendal or the others to stop it. Ken remembered vainly attempting to sway the wave, pushing his body to do something it was not capable of. The water had hit, smashing the boat to pieces, the men around him shouting and screaming.
Splinters and wood danced around Kendal as his body was sucked into the wall of water. The force of the wave had tossed him back and forth, destroying any progress he made with his rapidly kicking feet. Ken had felt himself slam into something, likely one of the crew, and that was when he began inhaling water. His mind panicked and thoughts of imminent death filled his head. Ken had no choice but to let go, swallowing down even more water. He soon felt consciousness slipping away from him, and his eyelids felt heavy...
But he was alive, it seemed. And very sore. And hot. Kendal’s eyes shot open, but the bright sun caused him to promptly shut them again. Blinking a few times, his vision started to clear and shapes began forming. From where he lay on his side, he could see he was on a beach. There was a thick forest up the slope, and the sand stretched as far as Ken could see. Definitely an island... somewhere.
For a moment, he listened to the gentle waves. They lapped at his feet, tickling his right foot, which was now unfortunately without a shoe. Kendal considered resting here for a bit longer, but that was a sure ticket to some burnt skin. He already felt incredibly hot.
The man stumbled to his feet, cursing at his sore legs. He brushed a hand through his sand-encrusted hair, scanning the area. Some wooden debris laid scattered on the beach, but there was not a soul in sight, living or dead. For all Kendal knew, he could be the only one on this island.
He took a step forward, but instantly regretted it. Nausea overtook him, and Ken found himself vomiting on to the shining sand. He stumbled forward a few more steps before his legs finally gave out.

Personality: Lymond is like a snake, he cares little for anyone who will not benefit him, this often leads to people accusing him of being uncaring, but that is false. To call him uncaring implies that nothing can move his heart; in fact it is just that what does move his heart he keeps locked away in the birdcage that is his soul. So what is he like? Cold and sadistic. He will leave you to die unless he wants you and even then he will simply brush of any attempt by you to think that he likes you. Then just for fun he will inflict on you so much pain that you will wish you had just died. If after all that you are still with him he will lie to you, manipulate you and never let you truly make your own choice again. You will be his. A toy that will be used till it breaks and, like a little child, if the one who breaks you is not Lymond he will avenge you, visiting hell onto your killer till they are a new toy; or dead. So you have managed to get this far? You are now so completely his that with anyone else you would know his every secret. Here you are still what you were at the start, Lymond’s toy. He will trust you as little as he did at the start, maybe even less and all you will have gained will be scars. So why does he do this? Lymond owes Kaddath everything and thus will aid Kaddath till he no longer has a reason. This debt is why he only takes those given to him or those who have nowhere else to go. He trains them, protects them and at last gives them to Kaddath. He is a builder of monsters. He is the monster. Affiliations: Grand Army of Kaddath Status: Ensign History: Lymond's father was a retired colonel while his mother was the daughter of a general who he married when still climbing the job ladder. Although the marriage was political in many was they still found enough conmen ground to love each other. As was required they had a child, appearances you know a couple of years later. Then tragedy struck Lymond's father, while transferring a group of soldiers they were attacked and he was injured so badly that he was given a medical discharge. After this Lymond was came after a difficult birth, killing his mother. Now driven to despair his father vanished from the world. Killing himself while Lymond was only two. Taken into the care of his grandfather he was packed of to a boarding school at the age of seven after a miserable childhood. The following ten years were filled with more pain as Lymond suffered from the darkest aspects of the system he had been throw into. At last, once he had reached his majority, he joined the army's training school. It was here that he at last had his chance. Showing a knack for command and organising others in his second year he was promoted to the command strain. Here he at last found friends, fellows who he would fight besides and trust them with his back. A healthy sense of competition grew between him and the others as they learned about how to lead others. Although he did not graduate at the top of his class his hard work and charisma was noticed my others and he was transferred to the eastern edge to serve as an aide on the front line. Here he continued to learn about the way to have your men follow you due to faith and comradeship. It was also here that he learnt the limit to this method. On a routine inspection of a settlement they were ambushed. Instead of holding still like they were supposed to the men panicked, many of them being under fire for the first time ever, Lymond included. They tried to runaway and killed their commander when he stood to stop them, trying to save them still. Wounded Lymond could only watch as a man who had become his teacher and more was gun downed. Then his murderers were blown up seconds later as their attackers found their location. Lymond survived thanks to his Kaja strain for three days slowly bleeding out before they were found. He was taken to a field hospital and then back to the capital. It was as he was recovering that his grandfather paid him a visit. The old man was barely standing on his two feet and was followed by two doctors constantly. This is what he said. “So you lived? No help to anyone. Luck. So what do you think of your training? Was it good enough? They won't even emit that was why they died. Blamed bad equipment. Ha,” he coughed. "Brats, they're too scarred to admit that they can't control people. You're the 10th case this year. Want to get even?” He then left as his grandson continued to struggle to breath. Half his face gone. After two years of medical care and physical therapy Lymond returned to active service; unlike his father. He visited his Grandfather for the first time and learned about what was going on. The current system was being designed so that the commanders could keep their power. No one could rise up with sub-par soldiers after all. His grandfather on the other hand believed in Kaddath and was willing to risk it all in protecting the people. He offered Lymond everything if he followed his dream and took control. Lymond said yes. He joined the secret police as an interrogator and quickly rose as the ranks, showing a flair for all the darker sides of the world that he had previously ran from. His rage at the people who ran his country, the people who had let him almost die driving him onwards till he had reached the point of leading his own sub section in North Kaddath. The roots of his cold personality also came from his troublesome past. However, he does interact with fellow soldiers as they are the only people he could put little faith in. Xennox can only remember his name and nothing from his past. In fact Xennox Xylon is made up name; Xennox true name is Xeon Lighteater. However, as he had no actual memories of his past, he had decided to lock that name into the dark place, erasing his own existence, and besides, the time he finally opened his eyes; he was surrounded with burnt down buildings. The environment filled him with sorrow, and anger. Even though, he wasn’t sure why he had felt such emotions, it was very strong emotion. The word vengeance kept on appeared from his head at that moment, but as he had no memories of his past, he tried his best to forget about unhealthy emotion. Another unhealthy emotion was lingering inside him but he didn’t know what it was as well.
As he tried to calm down, he started to walk away from the devastated surroundings; he realized that environment was influencing his emotion too much which was hard for him to handle. With the unknown determination to survive, Xennox walked for days, without water and foods. When he finally arrived at the small village, the first word he told the stranger he met was “water”. Fortunately, the villagers were generous enough to offer Xennox a drink and a meal. Some even opened their guest rooms for Xennox to use.
After few days later, some people broke into Xennox room with the ill intention. By sheer luck, Xennox was out at that moment and no harm was done to him; however, the people who lived at that house were brutally murdered. Then somehow Xennox was blamed for the murder; Xennox had no choice but to run away from the village. Sadly, such incident didn’t end with the one village, it continued village after the village and city after city until Xennox got fed up with the chase. With the courage, Xennox decided to confront them: to unlock the mystery of his past, and to end the miserable chase. The confrontation didn’t go well as Xennox hopped. The group who came after him didn’t want to answer Xennon’s question nor were they planning to be nice. At the sight of Xennox they pulled out their weapons to kill Xennox, then something unexpected happen. Somehow, Xennox’s body acted alone, he suddenly slammed his right hand fist at his left hand palm while closing his eyes, and then suddenly some weird circle was formed in front of him. After that, he opened his eyes, his right hand gestured grabbing something in the mid air and crushing it, soon underneath the shady group, and magic circle appeared in shady grey light. One of them gasped, surprised, and gently Xennox let the word out, “Mamudoon!”. Each shadowy individual were pierced by the sharp shadowy spear from the ground, binding them. It left them dead.
Soon the law enforcers heard about the news and arrested him; without any resistance, Xennox was captured. One of officers who came to arrest him confirmed of five men’s death, hearing the report Xennox screamed, saying there should be six of them, not just five. Xennox showed his insecurity, and the policemen had hard time to make him talk in proper manner. Well they almost gave up talking to him, actually, but the case was closed as the army bailed him out with the condition that he will work with the army.
Xennox, remembering someone was trying to get rid of him, he signed up with the alias, Xennox Xylon. Fortunately for him, Xennox Xylon really existed and that man went missing after his family was wiped out. With that profile, he began his army life. It was a risk someone might find out he was not really Xennox Xylon, but then Xennox Xylon was quiet man who avoid contact with the outside world, which was good for him, as he wanted to keep his distance from others.
For a newbie, Xennox was somewhat different. He had great swordsmanship, and instinct to survive the challenge that was presented in front of him.
Xennox always wonders at the night, asking the same question to himself over and over again, “Will I figure out my past?” Weapons: Two hidden blade that springs out like a claw that has a mechanism that allow it to be fired at his target if Xennox wants to. Xennox also carries a weapon that has shape of two handed sword, however, it has property of changing its shape into a bow that produces dark arrows to pierce its enemy. Xennox was troubled, muttering himself, “Should I run? Or should I stay…”
It was going to be his fortieth village; he had been running ever since the massacre that happened in the first village. “Who are those people, why do they want to harm me?” There was confusion in his voice, insecurity, uncertainty and fear. As Xennox had no idea of who he really was, he couldn’t help but think this must be related to the destroyed buildings.
Did he do it? Did he destroy it? Such disturbing question was taunting him, making his confusion, insecurity, uncertainty and fear grow. However, there was something inside him, telling him that was not the case. Something made him to refuse to believe he was the one that destroyed it. Something was telling him that it was someone else. “But who!?” shouted out loud and tossed nearby vase, breaking it. The frustration was bringing out the emotion that he had felt when he first woke up from the darkness. Xennox, then felt something warm running down from his face. Without his realization, Xennox eyes were vomiting the water; Xennox wiped them and washed his face. As he came out from the private bathroom, he saw the moon was bright. As if he was asking the moon, he tossed his question at his window. “Will I figure out my past?”
Then Xennox realized something or someone were coming, “I need to know,” muttered Xennox.
There were six people, including himself there were seven people in the room. Xennox opened his mouth first, “Why do you want to hurt me? What did I do? Who am I and who are?” The others, however, were quiet and drawn their weapons. “Please! Tell me!” Then one of six chuckled, “You are going to die, that’s all, he he” Xennox could feel that his legs were shaking; the man said he was going to die. Then suddenly, his body felt cold, he felt like time stopped. Then he realized his body was moving automatically, closing his eyes softly. Then his right fist slammed his left hand’s palm then magic circle was appeared. The six people who came to kill him, gasped in surprise. In quick motion, his right hand gestured like he grabbed something in the mid air and it shook violently as if he was crushing what he caught in his hand. Then black spears pierced the six people and bind them to the ground, Xennox watched them bleed to death.
Xennox’ scream filled the street, the scream echoed here and there. A scream that contained confusion, fear and sorrow searched for help.

Her parents died in a car crash when she was seven. She was left in the system and went into foster care. She had a little sister, which was given to a different foster family, where she was welcomed warmly. Arya, however, changed foster families quite a few times and could never seem to settle anywhere.
Since her life was that of a drifter, she learned to survive and changed school fairly often and hardly ever made friends, afraid she’d have to leave them again. Despite this, she managed to finish school with excellent results because of her talents for physics and math. After school she decided to enlist in the army. They trained and educated her, forming her into the perfect tool with her want and need for acceptance. The army gave her the stability and family she was longing for. Her loyalty, which is partly blinded by gratefulness, runs deep and she is eager to prove herself over and over again, afraid that they’ll turn back on her and abandon her. She doesn't always agree with what the army is doing, but she'd still do anything for them.

Personality: Due to the nature of her upbringing, Elizabeth was forced to grow up quickly, but outwardly, she handled this quite well. Many who know her professionally would describe her as calm and serene, the type of person who is always on top of the tasks assigned to her. This is, however, only a front that Elizabeth has created to protect herself. Beneath the mask, she's a girl who likes cute things, although she wouldn't be caught dead admitting to that openly. Elizabeth also has a fiery temper, which she keeps in check while on duty, but if the sandbag in her room could tell stories, it would have more scars to show off than some of the most seasoned combat veterans. Elizabeth was born as the only child of a middle-class couple, and her mother died from complications within an hour of Elizabeth's first breath. Even though he grieved for the loss of his wife, Elizabeth's father was all she ever knew as a parent, and he did a good job of keeping up with her, despite having to work to support them both. In order to make sure he had more time with her, Elizabeth's father, who worked as a civilian contractor with the military, would take the higher risk jobs because they came with better paydays, giving him longer breaks between jobs than a normal contractor.
Unfortunately, it was on one of these higher risk jobs that he lost his life. Elizabeth, who was thirteen at the time, took the news very badly. With no one to support her anymore, she was handed over into government care, which placed her in an orphanage. Unable to cope with this change in surroundings, Elizabeth failed to fit in with the other children, going so far as to not speak with anyone for months at a time, a habit that she eventually grew out of.
On her eighteenth birthday, Elizabeth joined the military, partially to escape from the hell she had been living in for the last five years of her life, but also, for a chance at finding the one man who had sentenced her to living in it. As a result of how her father had been killed, Elizabeth had vowed to never use a weapon against another living person, but for one man, she would make an exception, and Elizabeth devoted all of her time in the army to finding that man.
Because she refused to use a weapon, Elizabeth was trained as a combat medic, a trade that she showed some proficiency in, especially after her magic manifested itself. Of course, with the discovery of her magic came more opportunities, and more challenges too. In order to rise through the ranks, in order to reach the information she needed, Elizabeth needed to be combat ready. Without the use of a weapon, she was forced to make her entire body a weapon instead. Day after day was spent on physical training, and such was the pace she set for herself that Elizabeth quickly surpassed all of her instructors, eventually taking their place instead.
For a time, she almost allowed herself to forget her original mission. She had students that cared for her, even if they didn't know what she was really like, why she was really pushing herself this hard. Yes, she had almost settled into a life of semi-comfort and serenity, but that was before a certain file fell onto her desk... Snow came from a normal working family, one brother and one sister. Already as a kid he always got into trouble, whether it was stealing motorcycles or breaking into buildings. Still, with the help of his big brother (whom he incredibly admired) he managed to leave the streets and start college. However as much as he wanted to make his brother proud, he never finished it. In an unfortunate gang shooting, his brother was killed and Snow set out to find those responsible. Now, for the first time he crossed paths with the Secret Police who are investigating this seemingly random shooting. By (reluctantly) working together they were able to find the persons responsible and Snow, consumed by raging revenge, wanted to kill them. In the end, the Secret Police offered him a deal to start a career with them if he didn't kill his brothers killer. Snow gave in, thinking his brother didn't want him to become a crazy murderer.
Pretty late, later than normal, his magic gene manifested. However since he was already working for the Secret Police, the Army saw no need to recruit him, when he was already on 'their side' and doing a good job. Instead they gave him basic magic training to enhance his skills.
Years later, with lots of experience in his job and excellent skills in his profession, his partner messed up. Snow refused to cover for him, still trying to be an honest person, and through some twisted turn of events the agency used him as fall guy and he is blamed for everything while his now ex-partner ended up with a promotion.
With his career at a standstill and his faith in the system lost, he left the Secret police with a dishonorable discharge and drifted back to the streets. It was more than difficult, because of his abilities they only reluctantly let him go. In the end his knowledge of the street life helped him to disappear from their radar. Being lost, the wishes and dreams of his brother just a faint memory, and without any goal, he sunk deeper and deeper, ending up with high gambling debts. Forced to pay them off, he began to race motorcycles on the race track for Tony. Tony not only owned the gambling halls and the motorcycle race track, he also ran a small business that occasionally required someone to transport packages quickly and unseen through the city. This job he gave to Snow more frequently, because he realized that Snow kept his mouth shut and didn't ask a lot of questions. Instead he just followed his orders and with his skill set was able to survive more than one of these often highly dangerous missions. Position: Head Research Scientist Personality: Kokonoe is a brilliant and dedicated scientist, esteemed as a prodigy in her early days and a genius in the field of strain genetics in her latter days. However, she is dripping with sarcasm and cynicism that makes it incredibly difficult to get along with her, much less get close to her. This, coupled with her habit of loud, expletive-filled rants and chain smoking, has ensured that the Army values her expertise at a considerable distance. Beneath all this hides a brave and well-meaning person, who will never back down from their views regardless of the consequences. History: Kokonoe was brought up in a family of scientists and was expected to continue and further their legacy. This was never a burden to Kokonoe, who aspired to to do great things with her mind, which she had proven more than capable of despite her young years. Upon attending university, she had thoroughly and single-mindedly focused upon achieving excellent grades and awards. However, right off the bat her lab partner apparently got cold feet and decided to back out. Infuriated, she confronted him not only for her own sake but for his, lecturing him on considering his future and all he could achieve. To her great relief, he reconsidered and stayed. She believed she had inspired him with her impassioned talk, but it soon became evident that this was not the case. Although he stayed, he continued to only do the bare minimum where his own grades where concerned. When they were partnered, however (as they often happened to be, since she hadn't bothered to get to know anyone else), he always strove to do as much as possible to help her out. Kokonoe, curiosity burning, decided to confront him about it. Surprisingly, he came out and confessed his feelings to her. Kokonoe was flustered and didn't know how to respond or even what to think, but fortunately he hadn't seemed to expect a reply. During a study session well into their university years, she found that she was less focused on the exam they were attempting to prepare for and more on the man she was studying with, much to her distress. She kept stealing glances at his pleasantly rugged features and particularly his lips, wondering what they would feel like. Suddenly, she slid close to him, cheeks flushed as she gazed up into his face. "Kokonoe?! W-what are you doing?" he gasped. She scowled embarrassedly at him, wondering how he could ask something like that with her intent so obvious. "Experimenting to test a hypothesis," she replied before pulling him into a kiss. When they finally came up for air, panting heavily, she adjusted her glasses and sighed. "I think I like you too," she replied before sliding back to her seat and picking back up her text book. Despite her newfound romantic interest, Kokonoe made strict point of not allowing their relationship to interfere with their studies. The arrangement worked quite well, and the moments of pure relaxation were all the more special because of it. Kokonoe began to find herself more and more attached with her love interest, and began to think of how to approach talking about their future together after graduating. However, these thoughts were put on the backburner as she was forced to sort through many potential positions and offers for research opportunities as graduation loomed closer. And then suddenly it was gone. Right after graduation, the love of her life simply disappeared without so much as a goodbye, only leaving a note to say he was sorry. Kokonoe cried bitterly for many weeks, heartbroken at the betrayal. Soon, however, the wound made so deeply by the sudden loss of her love began to scab and harden over. Kokonoe began to blame herself for the pain, realizing that she should have never placed her feelings above her goals and future. Discarding all unnecessary aspects of her persona, Kokonoe dived into her work with renewed fervor, determined to keep her life solely devoted to science. Despite eschewing all unnecessary social contact and burying herself in her research, Kokonoe couldn't hide the bitterness that continued to fester inside her, no matter how much she tried to bury it under her cynicism, swearing, and chain smoking.

Position: Research Subject Personality: Millie is easily pleased, and likes getting any attention that comes her way. Anyone meeting her for the first time will be shocked to find that Millie is the epitome of childlike innocence, not something they would expect to find within the confines of the military's most secret labs. Despite appearances, Millie is also very intelligent for her age. This may be a side-effect of the peculiar strain of magic she possesses, but no one can be entirely certain. History:- Spoiler:
Since as far back as she can remember, Millie has always lived at the lab. The staff seemed distant at times, but they're the only family she had. According to the researchers, her parents had died and left her in their care, but Millie wasn't stupid. She had seen a report with her name on it laying on a desk one day and couldn't stop herself from reading it.
Apparently, her magic had manifested itself from birth, and in the first few seconds of her life, Millie had transported her mother and three of the hospital staff to the other side of town. Millie's mother was, of course, terrified by this experience. So, when the military came knocking on her door a few days later, she happily turned over her daughter to them, in exchange for a very generous sum of money.
After she'd read the report, Millie had cried for the first time in her life. The world she'd known up until now was a lie, but she couldn't leave it. So, instead, she just put on a smile and kept going, and after a while, she settled back into her surroundings, as if nothing had ever happened.
Occasionally, strange men would come and they would ask her to send them to places, but she was never allowed to talk with them, and once they were gone, she rarely saw them again. Not once did Millie ever consider sending herself away though. Even if it was all a lie, this was the only life she had, and there was nowhere else for her to go. In fact, her lifelong motto is: "If you want something done right, do it yourself. It'll be more fun than watching anyway." To say she has a sadistic streak would be an incredible understatement. Anivia was raised as the only child of a wealthy family, and the first thing her mother taught her was how to take advantage of her father. At first, it was just a learned skill, but as she grew older, Anivia realized that she could very easily manipulate any of the men around her to do her will. As she moved into adolescence, she juggled several boyfriends, somehow always managing to convince each of them that he was her favorite, but never really allowing any of them to truly get close to her. In the end, she threw them all away when they had outlived their usefulness. None of them were a match for her, and with each failure, she was more and more convinced that no man ever would be. They were all so weak, so willing to give in. How could she not step on them until they broke if they bent over so readily?
This was Anivia's mindset going into adulthood, and time only reinforced her beliefs until she lost all faith in males, coming to the realization that women were actually the dominant gender. With this in mind, she sought to make herself the best example of her beliefs, so the entire world would realize how right she was. Just as she was emerging as a frontrunner in the corporate world, a mysterious character appeared before her, offering Anivia an opportunity to rise to the top even faster. He offered her a leading position in one of the most well known rebel organizations in the world, and he also offered her something that no one else could have. He offered her magic. All she had to do was become the financial backing for Legion's operations. It was a low price to pay. Though seemingly a bruiser, he tends to be very introspective. This tends to work against him, as it makes him reflect on his mistakes and weaknesses more and thus be very hard on himself. But one day men came to their town during the night, kidnapping children and teenagers to use in a research experiment. Jax was unable to stop them from taking Miki and himself and imprisoning them in one of Legion's underground bases. They had little real use for Miki, but kept her as leverage to make Jax stay in line as they took him and the other best candidates for strain research. After countless hours of torturous experimentation, he and three others managed to survive and successfully display the qualities Legion was looking for. These four were made into Legion's Riders of the Apocalypse. Jax had little care in Legion's machinations, but was determined to use what they'd given him to help him grow stronger. He trained relentlessly day after day to become a fighting machine, in the hopes that he could free Miki from Legion's clutches. Jonah was born and raised in high class society, where he was a less than impressive child. It became obvious from a young age that the one thing he craved was the one thing he had trouble getting, attention. As a result, Jonah picked up a few unsavory habits for someone of his social status, because bad attention was better than no attention at all.
At the age of seventeen, he had tarnished his family's name so much that they finally resorted to disowning him as their heir. Outraged by this course of action, Jonah vowed to become even more influential than his parents, and joined a branch of the mafia as a trashman, the type of unsavory character that does anything necessary to rise within the organization.
After several years, and countless unknown felonys, Jonah caught his big break and became an official member of the family he belonged to. But lady luck is a fickle mistress, and after only a few months in power, Jonah made a mistake that the family deemed to be inexcusable. Fearing for his life, and rightly so, Jonah faked his own death and fled town. It was his worst fear come true. Because of what might happen if he was discovered, Jonah couldn't do anything to gain himself the attention he craved anymore.
It was on one cold night in a bar that someone approached him, using his original name. Thinking that the mafia had found out about him and tracked him down, Jonah thought of killing the man, but the offer he made was too irresistable for someone like Jonah to pass up. Position: Pale Rider Personality: As the only rider who truly believes in Legion's cause, Marcus is the most responsible of the group. He's a firm believer in his own strict code of justice, and won't hesitate to erase anyone that doesn't comply with it, acting as judge, jury, and executioner. His calm demeanor and strict code of conduct make him seem like the most reasonable of the riders, but due to his twisted world view, he is actually the most insane. History:- Spoiler:
Little is known about the early years of Marcus' life, but apparently, he spent a large portion of it bouncing from one orphanage to the next. Any record of either of his parents never existed, and Marcus himself wasn't very noteworthy until the age of ten, when he began taking a stand against bullies in the orphanages he was staying at. It was clear to workers that he had a strong sense of justice, but what they failed to realize was that he didn't have a good set of morals to accompany it.
It seems rather ironic that their encouragement of his strong behavior is what actually led to the incident that forcibly ejected Marcus from the foster care system. In one particularly bad case of bullying, Marcus did what he considered "just" and removed the bully's offending arm, permanently. To most thirteen year old children, this would have been over the top, but Marcus thought the crime was worthy of the punishment he dealt.
Needless to say, the foster care system didn't agree, and Marcus was moved to a secure facility for the mentally ill. After a few incidents with the other patients, Marcus was deemed a trouble maker by the higher ups, and moved to solitary confinement, where he stayed, alone and without any visitors aside from the guards that brought him food, for ten years. That was until he was mysteriously released from the facility.
Waiting for him outside the front gate was an agent of Legion, who was more than happy to offer Marcus a new kind of justice to follow, and a new means by which to accomplish it... Target/s will be plagued with terrors and hallucinations for some time after Mudoon - casts a powerful magic circle below the target, which erupts in a column of dark energy that attacks the target’s mind. | lol it's funny when i look at some of the threads while on my phone, some words appear to be links (for exsmple backpack) and when i click on them it links me to ebay or other sites that wabt me to buy stuff : P
and... i just noticed i have no idea how to edit my posts on the mobile version (but apparently i can do it on my computer), so i'm gonna double post on purpose (the double post i now deleted) to let you know that the link to the old forum you posted to show the rest the of the story log doesn't work. it gives me an error and tells me i have no permission to view that page whether i'm logged in or not....
