| Eh. It's all right.
I'm getting a bit frustrated though. I wish I could find a writing mentor to help me out with my book. I've read through it again (for like the sixth time), and it's tighter than ever, but I've never used a professional editor for money's sake. And while I've had good beta readers, none of them are writers, so they can't give me detailed feedback on the actual writing mechanics involved.
Still haven't heard back from the last two agents, but the deadline is the end of the month. If I don't hear back, I'll have to start searching for agents again. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~

| You guys are my friend circle. I do have one friend at work who read it, and she has very similar taste to me, so that helped. The latter. So far, I've gotten responses from everyone, even if they weren't always personalized. These two are getting close to the mark though... _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~ | |

| Well, you try to get a literary agent interested in your work, and then they represent you to publishers.
The problem is, literary agents are "too busy" to usually give detailed feedback on why they reject your query. Therefore, you have no idea if it's just because it's not their taste, or because your pitch wasn't good, or your first chapter wasn't engaging enough, or your synopsis wasn't written well, etc. Usually, all you get is along the lines of: Â "Thanks for your submission, but I'll have to pass. Good luck."
So, it's frustrating for me because every time one of these comes in, I'm second guessing everything. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~

| I've not torn into the newest copy you sent me, but I doubt that there's a problem with the actual content, based on what I've previously read. The only real issue I saw with it was that it wasn't exactly "mainstream" for any target group of readers. You could be sending mixed signals about what age/background group you're trying to appeal to. That could make it hard for an agent to sign off on it.
That aside, I don't know what they're specifically looking for in submissions.

| What are you waiting for? But yeah, you may be right. Unfortunately, it's not exactly "adult" fiction since the main-est character and a couple others are teenagers. However, it's not exactly aimed at teenagers either, since most of the cast throughout the series (with the exception of like three characters) are all adults and deal with more complex, adult issues. It also either averts or subverts most YA conventions. There's no love triangles really, especially between the main cast. No brooding supernatural hunks. No main "everygirl" protagonist as a blank canvas. So yeah... It would actually probably fit in better with this "New Adult" category that's been popping up and is listed somewhere between YA and adult, but it's not a very big genre at the moment. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~ | |

| I got the Samsung gear vr Watched the movie The Last Witch Slayer (Vin Diesel) It Did to an extent feel like watching it in a cinema theatre Now i think i can start on all the horror films ive been holding out on (like evil dead) and watch it with this neat gadget I had tried using 2 previous cheaper devices but it was good that i got this nodel, its much better than the rest. The only thing to beat it would be the the vr headset that connects to your computer, this one is for the mobiles. | |

| You've never seen Evil Dead?
It's not really scary so much as... Out there. I mean it is Sam Raimi. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~

| I've watched the classic (original). (found it funny) Haven't seen the 2014 or whenever it(Remake with the teenagers/college student level) came out last.
People said the remake was proper horror but I've seen the trailers.. it seemed normal(amusing/cute) to me (then again my horror threshold is too high XD )

| Oh, didn't know there was a remake.
Did you see The Descent? That's a scary movie. Great atmosphere. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~

| ~~~ My mobile battery died apparently having it run the Oculus Software along with Wifi for the internet streaming of the free VR short movies and listening on the Bluetooth headset while it was plugged into the wall charger, is too much power for the charger to handle. I'll have to try listening via the mobiles loudspeaker and have all the other things still activated and test if the charger can charge faster than the battery depletion ~~~ Yeah I think I've watched all of them. The lady gets infected in the end, right? I think they showed something with her eyes as she leaves the outdoor cafe. | |

| yeah but wasn't there some cave dwelling monsters in it ? One of the woman injures her leg in a fall... stuff happens and somewhere they find a water stream and so an exit :0
Hmm... maybe I might be confusing it with another one. cause there were men in the one I watched. There was a scene where they hide underneath an overturned canoe and stuff happens, the bad guy knifes the good guy (man) the lady thinks he died, but later on he comes back with a bloodied shirt and knife kills the bad guy.
Also there were bat-like creatures in the cave. Gian man eating bats.

| .....no.
The second one did have men, but there was no overturned canoe and no good guy or bad guy. Just people surviving against degenerate subhumans. _________________ ~Vae Victis - The Black Lily Blooms~

| I thought the ending was good. :0 - Spoiler:
Yes, although I thought Juno was an supreme idiot for getting them into the mess in the first place, she was kind of awesome. And the lead chick screwing her over at the last minute was pretty awful. Yes, Juno killed their one friend, but it was unintentional. She got Juno killed knowing full well what she was doing.

| So I was sort of right (maybe it was a small boat, not a canoe :0 )
anyhow so no bat like mutated humans ?
And was there any scene of one of the man finding out that the creatures weakness or mode of detection was sound waves.. you know, like a bat.
