I hate Mary Sue

it's one of the biggest problems I have with Saber, not that she's one, but she's sooo close to one.

I mean, it clearly exists. It's like Gilgamesh said. We make it too easy for the weak, stupid, and useless to survive. And when the population swells, the value of each individual decreases.

i'm not saying that that doesn't happen, but rather that it's only a problem for those outside of it. For those inside there's no problem.

Well, I guess. Those being protected by it certainly wouldn't mind. But eventually, you make it so easy, for instance, for old people to keep living, it's going to drain finances, keep younger people from getting jobs, etc till things collapse and everyone gets screwed. That's the kind of thing they're afraid of.

that's what peace and medicine bring. With no wars there's no way to constantly cut the population and with good medicine it's easy to save people that would die otherwise.

Well, that's exactly what they aim to fix.

Khull is a villain, Morgan is another villain, Ciel feels like a temporary villain
