Chat Thread 15: The Best of Chats, The Worst of Chats

I love the story, its awesome that they can break the 4th wall at times and still connect back to the story.

Yeah, scary factor goes down a lot.

I only disliked Sam during 8 and 9. His thing with Amelia and his wangsting about the Gadreel debacle got on my nerves.

Somwhere in season 7 I started to harbor ill will... it first bug me when he trusted ruby over dean.

That was season 4.

Agreed, but justified in some respect. Dean, as usual, was doing what he thought was best for Sam. Sam was doing what he thought was best for everyone.

I mean it first bugged me... but the hate actually started in season 7 fully.


True he thought was best, but if he actually waited and listen instead of acting quickly.
That is why I didn't fully hate him then.

It didn't bother me. I liked determinator Sam more than suicidal Sam.

In fact... I don't think Sam or Dean had any kind of internal conflicts in 7. It was all external. Like 9, unfortunately.

Season 10 is the polar opposite, where it's all internal conflict and no real external threats... Unless they shove Rowena into designated villain in the last five episodes despite her doing nothing the whole season.

I am really curious how the angels look like.. they only showed them in holy smoke or in their human skins only.

I want to see Castiel in his angel form that is apparently as tall as the Chrysler's building.

They're never going to show them. If you notice, even monsters that have no business being in human form (dragons, phoenix, etc...) are displayed as thus. It just makes it easier to film and not have to use CGI, which I can appreciate to a degree. Supernatural's minimalist approach to CGi has served it well, just bringing the right touch of awe to the angel's auras and smiting or the demon's smoke forms.

True... I know its never gonna be like that, at least we get ghost as ghostly XD

Ah, you watched? It was good. I can see where they're finally going to get Rowena involved with the Winchesters.

I really hope they're not going to make Crowley into a villain again. I like him in the grey, and I would like it even more if they continued the development since the Trials of him gaining more human traits.

Also when I saw chuck I lost my mind, when I first saw him at the end of S5 episode 22 when he vanished, I thought it was a flashback to when he finished the book and he turned into a ghost...

When the new prophet came around and cass basically confirm my theory... Saying he must have died for a new one to take his place... but when he showed up I was like Its god, chuck was god all along but just playing the idiot : o

Yes, that was actually a Word of God (pun not intended) confirmation after season 5. I don't really know how it works out that Chuck Shurley was a prophet inscribed in all angels' minds while simultaneously being God, but... *shrug*

I loved Chuck, so I'm glad he's not dead, at least.

Chuck is god, he probably knew the future and basically implanted his name... He was able to bring back cass not once but twice from the dead and made him stronger... if he reappeared... why now?

As for the angels, when Kevin was first introduced, Castiel mentioned that Chuck had disappeared and they thought him to be dead. Considering they didn't realize who he was when they were around him all the time, presumably he can conceal his presence if desired.

True, they did say even the amulet that can burn hot around god couldn't locate him.

Yes, presumably. But... *shrug.* I mean, I don't know what a lot of the authors I like look like. So it's possible they didn't recognize him.
