Mary Margaret Girl's Academy was quite a setup. The buildings looked a bit like something out of a fairy tale, with white siding and red roofs. The campus was pristine and filled with well-manicured trees and flower beds.

Yes, no doubt many parents drooled all over the place, thinking how well it would look for their daughters to attend.

Until they jumped off bridges, that was.

Jordan Blake sighed, looking over the details of the report from his car - black, sensible, and reliable. The other hunter would arrive soon, and he would need a plan to wok with.

Several girls passed by, not very discreetly checking him out and giggling amongst themselves. Jordan turned and gave the girls a look over the top of his sunglasses, earning a fresh wave of tittering. Well, that was an idea...

It looked like an ordinary day and ordinary life of Matityahu; living the life of hunter, doing the job with the partner that MoL had set it up for him.

However, Mati didn't like the job; he didn't like the fact that it involved someone jumping off the bridge randomly as it spooked him. The possibility of disaster demon made him uncomfortable. Well, all demons made him uncomfortable.

Then again, he learned not to make assumption of what they are dealing with until they figured it out completely. You never know what it could be unless you go through every detail about the case.

The silvery hair of Mati stand out to the girls, yet, it seemed so fitting him that no one actually thought that it's a big deal. He just looked somewhat handsome and made some girls glance at him. May be he inherited charm of his parents.... May be it's his mother's charm? Well, the color of his hair came from his father so he couldn't be sure. And besides, his parents were not vampires.... So he doubted that charming people was his specialty...

Any ways, as he walked towards the parking lot, he checked his phone. He had to use colored contact lenses so that he could hide his red eyes. Which color was it this time? Black or brown? "Oh... it's brown..." Mati whispered to himself softly.

He then walked confidently, knocked on the car's window. "Hey, name is Matityahu, you can just call me, Mati. It seems like you are already popular." Mati gave his partner the poker face, "So... may I join in?" Asking his partner politely, permission to get inside the car.

Jordan had spotted the other hunter long before he arrived at the car. Mati had barely had a chance to knock before Jordan had signaled him inside he car with barely a glance.

"You must be Matityahu," he said, removing his glasses. "That's quite a mouthful. Let's go with Mati. The name's Jordan."

He extended his hand for the other man to shake, then got right down to business.

"The faculty here are pretty tight-lipped," he said, looking out over the campus. "Men of Letters tried to get some info, but they were harder to crack than a Swiss bank. I think we're going to have to go a less direct route."

He smiled, though it was a thin, tight-lipped smile.

"In the military, when you can't take an enemy outpost directly, you go for infiltration and reconnaissance," Jordan declared quietly, fishing a laptop from his duffel bag in the back. "When was the last time you updated your resume, Mati?"

Before Mati could say anything, his partner responded and invited him in.

'I am starting to like this guy already' thought Mati; the new partner seems like he wants to be in charge, and as Mati was not feeling all that comfortable with the job, he was willing to keep his attitude low and follow his partner.

"Yup, you can just call me, Mati. Jordan" said Mati, shaking Jordan's hand.

As the man described the situation of how MoL failed to collect the information from the staffs, he commented, "Thought as much." He nodded, he was expecting such situation.

What he didn't expect was what his partner suggested, "resume?" He raised his eyebrow, then responded to his partner in calm and cool manner.

"Well which one are you going for? I am comfortable teaching Math, Science and English... Or should I make a resume for cleaner?"

He could be in the gym as well, but his partner, Jordan, looked more fitting and he didn't want to show any abnormality of his condition to his partner. So the idea of being P.E teacher was quickly removed from his mind.

Jordan shrugged at Mati's question as he searched for the Academy's website.

"Depends on what they're looking for, really," he said, trying to find any openings. Bingo.

"They're looking for a gym instructor and a janitor," he continued, giving a glance at his partner. It was clear he thought what roles they should fit as well.

"Both good opportunities," Jordan commented, finding one of the Men of Letter's unique applications that allowed them to make resumes to custom fit their needs. "One allows interaction with students. The other enables entrance to all kinds of locations to find all kinds of things."

He smiled again, though his time it was a bit more relaxed. Evidently, talking about his service was not something he enjoyed.

"Well, let's try to make our best impression," Jordan said after a moment's pause. "Got a suit?"

--------------------

The headmistress' office was quite impressive, as though she considered herself the president of her own little country. It was also clearly designed to give her the advantage, with her guest chairs substantially lower than her own. As she was quite a bit shorter than they, however, this somewhat diminished the effect. She had short, curly, dark hair and seemed to favor the color red.

"Well, you seem qualified for the positions," she said in a honey-sweet voice. "But Mary Margaret doesn't usually hire men for staffing positions. After all, we have to be concerned about certain... distractions."

She gave them a pointed look, at which point Jordan's face grew more serious than ever.

"Miss-?"

"Regina Masters."

"Miss Masters, if there's one thing I don't tolerate, it's distractions," he said in a such a firm, authoritative voice that the headmistress gave a little start of surprise.

"Oh, oh yes," she simpered. "That army background, I suppose!"

She gave a tinkling laugh, then looked over at Mati.

"And you, Mr..... Matiyati?"

"You can just call me Yati, miss masters" said Mati in some accent, yet in polite manner. "You could see in my resume that I worked in similar schools before and had no troubles." He gave her pure and innocent smile. "As i moved here, I've been looking for a job and i heard you need strong janitor to help with changing lights and carry heavy stuffs." He sounded confident of his ability. Then he added calmly, "I did that for long time. And i don't mind working overtime if it's necessary."

The headmistress regarded Mati for a few moments, then shuffled her papers fussily.

"Well, I suppose we can give you both a trial period," she said, smiling sweetly. "We'll meet again in a few days to see how you're adjusting to your positions."

Jordan stood to his feet and nodded.

"Thank you, Miss Masters," he said respectfully. "We look forward to it."

He led the way out of the office until they were out of earshot, then paused to regard his partner.

"Well, Mr. Madiwadi, let's get something to eat and find a motel to camp out," he told Mati, a smirk flitting across his lips. "Then we'll get ready for our first day."

As they passed by another tittering crowd of girls, he could tell getting them organized and fit was not going to be an easy task. This thought was immediately followed by an internal criticism of his soldier mentality.

"We're hear for information, not training," he scolded himself. "Keep your priorities straight."

[OOC: Nex, you can skip ahead to getting them to the hotel room with takeout, or have them already have checked in and go out to eat, or whatever you prefer. Give them a chance to get to know each other a little bit before we jump to the next day.]

Mati was glad when Jordan asked him to choose the place for their meal. Not a fancy restaurant, but a decent family restaurant. "I ate hamburgers here several times, and it's really good." He added as his new partner grabbed menu.

"So... when did you become a hunter? I mean, what drag you to become one? " Mati asked carefully, then he shrugged, "Of course, if you are not comfortable, you don't need to answer that." Mati added calmly, looking at the menu once again.

Jordan searched he menu, giving him some time to formulate an answer. He didn't want to bring up his powers or the circumstances surrounding them.

Deciding to indulge on the burger after all, Jordan set his menu down and sighed.

"Happened after I came back from service," he said quietly. "Came across a revenant that I helped to move on. Another soldier."

Well, it was partly true. That had been his first job as a hunter.

After placing their orders, Jordan took a sip of his water and nodded toward his companion.

"So, what about you, Mati?" he asked. If the other man felt comfortable enough about asking, he should be all right with answering.

"Oh..." Mati did not finish his sentence; he was expecting more of "vengeance" or "searching" motives. Then again, helping other to become a hunter, that's not a bad thing... Is it?

Well, after they make their order, Mati knew it was his turn.

"Well, I am trying to find my parents. We got separated due to some unnatural reason. " It was partly true, but he omitted that he made a deal with an archangel.

"Hmm... So what do you think about the case at the moment?" He asked carefully. "I mean, have you ever dealt similar cases?"

Jordan's brow furrowed for a moment as he heard Mati's own reasons for getting into hunting. He could tell he wasn't the only one being cagey about his past.

Speaking of cagey...

"Hard to really say," Jordan said, staring at his burger in concentration. "There's very little to go on, especially since I think the details are being kept hidden. Whether it's the staff or the students or what, I can't be sure."

A young girl out with her friends suddenly jumping from a bridge? It certainly wasn't a suicide. He felt confident about that. And if it had been some kind of attack, surely the other girls would have seen it.

"Could have been possession," he suggested quietly. "Or... I've heard some monsters can lure people to their death with voices. Crocotta? Or siren?"

Well, if it were that easy to figure out, they wouldn't need to go under cover.

"Interesting theory... well, if it's a possession... we probably have to deal with it quick or else we will have more dead bodies...." Said Mati as he put his hands on the giant burger he had ordered. "On the other hand, siren and others... well, let's hope we find them before they find us." Then he took the bite of the burger, satisfied with its taste, "This is good."

Calm and collected, he took the second bite of his burger; digesting it nicely, he said it to his partner. "I will go and check on the bridge tomorrow."

Then he added again after his third bite. "This is really good." Still having a serious look on his face.

Jason quirked an eyebrow at Mati's continued flattery of the burger before him. He could distinctly remember sitting with his platoon for meals, and his friend Biggs singing praises of the meal with every other bite, much to the chagrin of the rest of the group.

"Yeah, Matthews was talking with the sergeant - Mmm, this is fantastic - when all of the sudden he - oh my god, have you guys tried the-"

"Cut it, Biggs!" they would all cry out, half-amused, half-exasperated.

Jordan shook away the memory with a bittersweet smile and nodded to Mati.

"Yeah, check the bridge. It's a good place to start," he said thoughtfully. "Just remember to keep it discreet. If they get onto us, we're done."

--------------------

Next Day

Jordan watched the girls stroll into the gym, chatting animatedly and standing about in disorganized groups. The majority of them were stealing subtle - and not-so-subtle - glances at him, either out of curiosity or the "distractions" Miss Masters was so concerned about.

Well, enough was enough.

"Line up," he barked firmly, causing them all to jump. Slightly off-balance, they all glanced at one another as they pulled into a line, jostling and bumping into one another to get into a preferable spot. Jordan allowed them a few moments to get in place before continuing.

"As you can see, Mr. Willers is no longer teaching this class. My name is Jordan Blake, and I'm going to be taking a much firmer hand with this class."

Some of the girls seemed to titter at the mention of his "firm hand," but he ignored them.

"Roll call," he said loudly, causing them to fall silent once more. He continued down the list, checking off girls as he went.

"Emily Vance."

"Here."

"Becky Baker."

"Here."

"Heather Grant."

"Here."

The next name was not on the list at all, having been discreetly omitted by the headmistress, no doubt, but Jordan announced it anyway.

"Aubrey Wells."

There was a deafening silence. The girls all shifted uncomfortably, some shooting each other furtive looks. One or two even got teary eyed.

"Absent then?" he said off-handedly, ready to make a note of it.

"She-"

One of the girls, honey blonde with light brown eyes, had spoken up in a hoarse voice - Becky. The others all stared, particularly Heather next to her.

"She died," Becky finished quietly. As one of the ones with tears in her eyes, Jordan figured she must have been one of the friends with Aubrey at the time. From the way Heather stared, she probably was too. Good to make note of.

"I see," Jordan said, giving an appropriately grim nod before continuing down the list.

"Donna Barclay."

"Here."

"Wendy Dunn."

"Uh..."

Jordan looked up at the sound of the unusual response to see a very pale, dark-haired girl looking very uncomfortable to be standing there.

"Yes?" Jordan demanded, causing the girl to flinch like an abused puppy. He almost felt sorry for a moment, though his stern gaze never faltered.

"I... I don't feel very well. May I be excused?" she asked timidly. There didn't appear to be anything wrong with her that Jordan could see, and a bit of exercise would do the girl some good.

"You seem fine to me," Jordan said, moving on down the list. Before he could announce the next name, he heard Heather whisper in a very carrying voice.

"Guess you can't sleep your way out of class anymore, Wendy."

The girls gave delightedly scandalized looks to each other before a loud clearing of Jordan's throat brought silence once more. Finishing the last few names, Jordan set the clip board down and looked at all of them.

"We'll start with a few laps around the gym to warm up," he told them, "Heather, Wendy, over here please."

The two girls stiffened as the rest of the group ran by before joining Jordan over in the corner.

"I won't pretend to know what's going on here," he said firmly, his eyes hard and unflinching. "But whatever it is, it stays out of my class, understand? You're here to learn and get fit, not tear each other down. Understood?"

Wendy replied immediately, though her voice was barely audible. Heather, on the other hand, gave a defiant glare. However, it paled in comparison to Jordan's own, and after a moment she looked away, losing the contest of wills with ease.

"Yes, sir," she muttered.

"Go on, catch up with the others," he said, watching as the two girls ran to join the group. Heather fell into line with Becky and Donna, while Wendy lagged toward the back of the group, as though trying to escape notice.

{Interesting developments with the students.} he texted to Mati. {Turn up anything useful?}

[OOC: Mati won't find anything at the bridge, just so you know]

Mati sent his reply to his partner. {Nothing. It's clean.}

Well, there was no electromagnetic interference, no sign of demonic possession and there was no trace of sulfur. There was no trace of any supernatural interaction.

Mati silently gave a thought as he cleaned up the mess that girls made on the place. He thought he would get something on the bridge. But, boy, he was so wrong.

'What am I missing?' he thought carefully. Then there was a one answer that came to his mind. They have to see the dead body of Wells. Or request to see the autopsy results that MoL's investigation has should be enough...

With that thought he carried on with his janitor duty; looking for leads.

Lunchtime arrived, and the two hunters met at the cafeteria to discuss their days so far.

"It might not have anything to do with Aubrey's death," Jordan said in a low voice to Mati, finishing up his summation of the events during gym. "But it's worth keep an eye on. And if anyone might be willing to tell us more about what happened, it might be Becky. I just have to figure out how to approach her on it."

He subtlety pointed out Becky, sitting with Heather, Donna, and a few more of their friends. Heather still seemed surly from gym, or... was she actually looking a bit ill? She seemed to be pale and distracted, even as she attempted to keep in discussion with her friends.

Wendy, on the other hand, hadn't graced the cafeteria at all. Evidently, gym wasn't the only event she tried to avoid.

"So, no EMF or sulfur. Couldn't be possession. Might have been a monster after all then..."

The autopsy report had come in, but showed no signs other than the trauma one could expect from jumping off a bridge.

"Yeah, that's the possibility. But we should not forget one more possibility. Humans." Mati added his input in calm and collected tone.

"Going to what you said, though, well, you are dashing gentleman... May be charming her little bit? Giving her an idea that you are interested in her might mislead her to tell you something." His tone was half-joking, yet his face was serious of what he said. "Talking about students....One of your students doesn't look alright... You should check on her. Any 'strangeness' should not bypass us." Mati pointed at the girl, who looked pale and heavily distracted, with his chin, giving his partner the heads up.

Mati's phone gave him the notice that the autopsy result was out. Mati shook his head as he put it back to his pocket. "Even dead doesn't want to talk to us. Well, if she had all the body part intact it might be different" Implying that if it was Siren, it could have inserted its gland on the head. "Yet...hmm... I have feeling it's not a siren's job..." Mati added another one of his input.

Mati stood up from his table, "Well my janitor duty calls. Don't let your guard down, professor." Then Mati was gone.

"Possible crocotta....?" He whispered to himself, however he shook his head. "We need more evidence."

Humans?

Jordan was stunned by this suggestion. He hadn't even considered it for a moment. Could it be witches? Or even...

He was startled from these thoughts as Mati made a sudden and outrageous suggestion about how to proceed.

"Does the term 'jailbait' mean anything to you?" he said dryly, shaking his head. He was right about Heather though. He'd have to keep an eye on that.

--------------------

Classes ended for the day, but Mati still had some cleaning up to do. As he finished tidying up around the pool room, he could hear voices reaching him.

"I thought you weren't going to be done with swim practice till 4," Becky was saying, looking at Heather in concern. "Are you all right?"

"I couldn't focus," Heather muttered, more agitated than ever. "It's just..."

She trailed off, and there was silence for a few moments.

"Heather, you're scaring me. What's going on? First, Aubrey..."

There was a loud smacking sound as Heather knocked away Becky's arm.

"Leave me alone, Becky, all right! I'm going back to my room."

Heather stormed away, wincing as though she were in some sort of pain. Becky watched her go, gently rubbing her arm where Heather had struck her, trying very hard to keep herself together.

Mati made sure he remember the face of the girl who ran past him. That girl must be Heather. Well, in Mati's view she was in pain, agitated and distracted. 'Why?' Mati gave a quick thought... But as that question could be answered later, he shook it off. Right now, he probably have a chance to talk with the girl who was probably was knocked away by Heather, Becky.

Well would she be willing to talk to him though? One will never know until he tries...

"Hey, you alright?" asked Mati looking concern. "I was just cleaning up here, then I heard the sound of bam, so i came to check it out." He removed his hat, revealing his silvery white hair. "what happen?" He asked gently, trying his best to sound like friendly janitor; trying his best not to scare her.

Becky looked startled at the sudden voice, but she quickly smiled and wiped hastily at her eyes.

"Oh, yes, thank you," she said pleasantly. "She just... Heather, you know, she's the school's best swimmer. I'm sure she's just a bit agitated with the swim meet coming up. And after Aubrey... well..."

Becky seemed to realize she was saying more than she should and straightened up a bit, hugging her sweater more tightly to her body.

"Umm, I don't think I've seen you before. Are you new?" she asked.

”Oh my bad, you can call me Yati. I am your school's temporary Janitor." Mati gave her a gentle smile; even though, Mati doesn't smile often, he is a good actor and he was trying to be friendly janitor. "Well if you need someone to talk, or just need some company, I am very good listener." Said Mati and gave her paper that has his phone number on it. "Hope your friend feel better soon"

With that he left; it was obvious the girl would not talk about her friend at the time. He would have to wait for the girl to come forward by herself.

But remembering how Heather looked as he came to motel he called MoL; "Hi, this is Mati, i want to know if there is a curse of witches that makes people painful, agitated and distracted." He requested, if there was such thing then he should look for that hex bag; and if there isn't hex bag, then he would probably start thinking about it in different angle.

Supernatural: Legacy - Push Empty

Jordan stood next to the rental car, watching as the students left the class building back toward the dormitories' for those who lives on campus, and to cars or nearby houses for those who did not. From behind his sunglasses, he discreetly made note of Heather's behavior as she left - definitely a concern.

It wasn't long after they'd parted that Mati emerged, getting into the car before they took off for the motel.

"Anything new?" he asked, before getting the scoop on Heather and Becky's interaction. Just after that, Mati's phone rang, with the special number from the Men of Letters bunker. Surprisingly, it was the chief of operations, Sera Winchester herself, who would ordinarily have delegated this task to someone else.

"Hey, heard you were in need of some assistance," she said, without introduction. "Question about hexes, right? From what we've compiled on witches, there are several hexes that can target the mind. One particular hex from Scotland we came across can target the mind with all sorts of impulses - bad memories, grating noises, you name it - to make the target go mad. Might be what you're looking for."

Sera paused, then clearly got to the matter of why she had taken up the call personally.

"How are things, Mati? Anything new?" she asked. It wasn't a matter of personal concern, as they weren't exactly close. But the Men of Letters had a vested interest in the goings-on of a half-demon, half-angel hybrid in their midst.

[OOC: Decided to put that part with the MoL in, so I'll have to wrap up in the next post then.]

Mati told his partner about the interaction that happened with Becky and Heather. He also told his partner that he had given his number to Becky.

There was a silence on the phone, Mati was surprised that Sera came with the information. "Yes, that was what I was looking for." He coughed little and answered.

When she asked another question, he shrugged, "Well, it seems like we might be dealing with a witch... Any advise, Chief?" He asked.

There was a long pause on the other line. Evidently, Sera took Mati's evasion as answer enough that there was nothing to say on the subject.

"Well, if it's a witch, then I'm sure you know how to proceed," she replied briskly before hanging up.

Jordan glanced at Mati out of the corner of his eye, but said nothing. If he wanted to play his cards close to the vest, that was fine by Jordan. Made it easier for him to do the same.

--------------------

When Jordan and Mati had arrived at the school next day, the school was already buzzing with gossip. Evidently, Heather had arrived for homeroom, had a complete meltdown during the role call, and ran off. The rest of her classes she did not show up for, but was put down as "sick."

Jordan's own class was one of them. He noted Becky's distraught expression, the rest of her group of friends looking uneasy as well, as Jordan skipped over the name during role call.

Wendy was not well, either, though this seemed to be her own assessment once more. Jordan though that she looked fine, other that being rather pale. Really, she needed some good exercise more than most of them. Was she just self-conscious?

"I'm- I'm really not feeling well," she said more forcefully, avoiding the gaze of the other girls as they stared over at the two of them.

Hmm... come to think of it, she didn't look too well. Jordan nodded slowly, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Go ahead to the nurses' office," he told her, and her cheeks dusted pink before she turned and hurried off.

Once more, the girls broke into furious muttering about Wendy's frequent escapes from gym class.

"Hey, put that energy toward running, not talking," Jordan barked, blowing his whistle.

As the day went on, he couldn't shake the curiosity. Heather had insinuated something between the former gym teacher and Wendy. Had something been going on? Had Wendy really missed enough gym classes to arouse suspicion?

"Hey, Mati," Jordan said, putting in a call to the other hunter when he had a chance. "See if you can get inside the headmistress' office when she's not there during your cleaning route. I want to see Wendy Dunn's records of absences from class, and whether that had anything to do with the former gym teacher being let go."

Maybe it had nothing to do with the case, but anything unusual had the potential to be a lead.

Mati gave his partner a short answer, "I'm on it."

However, fully aware that the headmistress' presence in the room, he had to clean up other places first.   Well, technically, he was searching for hex bags as he clean up the places.

So far none, and it did not surprise Mati about it. If the target was Heather, it would have been close to Heather or at least, should be where Heather frequently visits. 'Swimming Pool...' thought Mati, but then that search had to wait as he saw the headmistress leaving her room.

As the Headmistress disappeared from the sight, Mati carefully slid into the office, of course, with his cleaning tools. With haste he quickly took the book that had record of past attendance, taking picture with his phone. While he was at it, he also took the photo of the ex-gym teacher's profile.

He quickly sent them to his partner, and Mati quickly worked on making the room neat. There was no camera when he came in for the first time, so it shouldn't be problem. As the job of making the room neat was done, he left silently.

'Anything unusual?'  Mati texted his partner, after sending everything he got from the office.
