Well, I have three characters. If I had to assign them to each case:

Call of the Wild: Larka
Out with a Bang: Aurora
Forty Wacks: Alex

Though really, any of them would go on any of the missions.

She wouldn't actually bother hunting the thing down, just find out what it is and how it ticks. See if she can improve on Abraham's Notes (that she stole,) or add in something he never encountered.

...Yeah. You could just tell something horrible was coming up when the story kept moving past points where it could have ended. But nothing that horrible.
