no because rping is 100% story driven, everything you do you ask if it's possible and do it.


while D&D is 50% story driven and 50% game driven, where you try to do anything and who decides if you do it or not is the dice, want to kill the really important npc the DM loves? sure, role a dice, oh, you rolled 20....oh plus the bonus 5 you get from that skill, sure I guess he's dead. Want to open a door, sure roll a dice, oh you roll 1, you try to open the door and it hits spetacularly in your face dealing 3 damage, btw it's still closed. there's also allot of skills and traits and equipments and stats, and obviously rules to ensure that no one just makes an op character.

Okay yeah, but you can still make up his personality, appearance, backstory, etc.

well the thing is that those things also matter. for example, the race give different bonuses in stats, skill and traits, they also restrict your class choice and your alighment.

I'm thinking of a Drow(dark elf) Warlock Chaotic Good, however I can't find an online book that explains things well about those since they are recent, so i need to go to the store and look at one of their books and GMs to help me

Well, I've almost finished season 8. Poor Benny went back to Purgatory just for Dean. I swear, Benny and Dean's relationship is like the only healthy one in the whole series.

I sort of didn't like that it was Bobby they saved from Hell. Like after a quiet, solemn sort of end, they have a not-that-deep ten minute reunion and then send him off to Heaven. Like... couldn't they have had it be someone else in Hell they know, like Bela? That would have actually had potential, like them feeling like a-holes for letting her get dragged to Hell by Hellhounds when Dean was pissing himself over the same prospects. Oh well.

No, of course not. I'm saying Bobby should never have been in Hell in the first place.

And, quite frankly, I don't think Bela would deserve to go to Hell. She really wasn't that bad, and her deal is really tragic in that she's the only minor ever shown to make a crossroads pact. She probably didn't even understand the repercussions involved.

Bela's long dead and gone, deal with it. Her contract expired years before that episode.

Anyway, I lied. Sometimes, I think they try a little too hard with Charlie Bradbury, but her relationship with Sam and especially Dean is undeniably sweet.

Kind of funny how all the deep, meaningful relationships seem to come through Dean, the one who outwardly tries to be less emotional. In a way, I think he and Sam are kind of an inverse of each other. Dean is outwardly gruff but inwardly very sweet and tender, while Sam is much more inviting but pretty cold and hard deep down.
